Wake's treehouse was really coming together. The boy was proud of it, and proud of himself. Must be all the help he'd been to Dread when he was putting his together! He'd keep telling himself that, regardless of any actual truth in the statement. Of course Dread liked having his help, and of course Wake had done a great job. Really, any frustration or annoyance from the older man was well concealed.

Unluckily for Dread, that's a recipe for the boy to come pester him. Wake was finally feeling better-- well and truly better, now that they were somewhere dry. Feeling better enough to well and truly be a pest. Today? Well, today he's decided that the literal only one who can help him with his treehouse is Dread. Wake got into a fight with some shelves, and the shelves won.

A little blood trickling slowly from an abrasion on his head and a splinter in his paw causing him to limp (construction site injuries, what a tough boy!), he makes his way to the treehouse Dread shared with his sister. Standing at the bottom and craning his head back, Wake yells up the stairs. "Dread! Dread can you come help me with somethin'?" Only nominally better than storming straight in, but hey, it's something.

The wolfdog was just returning to the treehouse after sorting her cache of herbs. She needed more dandelion from where she had placed it drying under the rafters. Her voice was quietly melodic as she sang to herself,

"The selkie sits on solemn sands, her hair a curtain wet. She sings-" But stopped as she got within earshot and saw one of the yearlings calling out to Dread, that was when the sharp copper smell of blood reached her the same instance she saw him.

"Oh my!" She exclaimed warmly approaching him from the other side of the tree, "I don't think he'll be much help here. Besides, he's a bit busy just now. I can get that cut over your brow fixed up." She offered with a swish of her cascading tail.

Was that... singing? Wake's brow furrowed, craning his neck as he looked up at the treehouse. Squinting against the sunlight, curious as he looked. A woman's voice, but not Deluge's. Who the fuck? The woman in the doorway, a shape he's only seen around the Raiders in passing. Not quite a wolf, something... weird.

Her tittering is a lot, Wake peering up curiously. "I need his help with some shelves, like he's got up there in the corners...." Did she say a cut? The boy reached up, swiping at his forehead. A little hiss. "Shit, okay, okay." Grumbling, still walking with a little hitch in his gait from the splinter, Wake takes this as an invitation to come up.

"Oh yer new, that's right. I'm Wake." Remembering his manners after probably too long, he introduces himself as he comes to the door, finally on even footing with the girl.

She leaned on the railing above him, trying to decide if it was safe for him to come up so high with a head injury. But he came up anyway without a proper invitation, what else would she expect from the Raiders? No boundaries these ones, not that it particularly bothered her that much. It was something she was just going to have to get used to.

As he climbed she noted the limp and disappeared from the railing for a moment before he entered the treehouse proper. She came back just as he crested the top with a small basket of her trauma kit in her mouth. She placed it down next to her and while motioning him to the couch like pile of furs she responded, "That's right! Only a little new though. Nice to meet you Wake, I'm Morwenna!" She continued to titter about taking a cloth and a little alcohol she tried to wipe his head. "This might sting... a lot." She mentioned while she attempted to rub his head with the alcohol cloth. Hopefully, he won't think to drink the damn stuff. It was hard enough to keep a medicinal stock of it around here.

"You were building some shelves similar to these?" She asked, indicating the shelves in the corner all while trying to assess if there were any small splinters in his head wound and what was making him limp. She started to crush some yarrow and hawksbeard together for a styptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and pain reliever to place over his wounds.
