Shaking out her coat, she was ready for the next spar. Figuring that she could handle at least one more, she took a big drink from the water bladder and took a few minutes to rest. The sun was still high over the sky and the heat was surprisingly high given that it was fall. This was more or less a desert however, so she supposed it made sense.

After giving herself a few minutes to breathe and rest, she tipped her head back and called out for yet another partner to spar with. Though she didn't make a move to sit or even stand, choosing to stay in her relaxed position to rest for as long as she could before someone would approach her.

She was in quite a temper these days, though she was doing her best to try and reign it in as best she could. The only true outlet she knew was fighting, and what better place to do that then at the battlefield or boneyard? It was known that Boreas' season was washed in Autumn, and while the Spring season in Auster was nice and all, she was wanting to see what the difference was. Would it be cooler during Boreas' season? Or maybe back home? She'd find that answer as soon as she crossed and continued through the lands, noticing that even here, the sky was alight with color at night and it seemed to meet up with the lights in Auster, too. Strange. She had never seen such a thing before, and it was enthralling. Beautiful. She wondered how long it would be like this? If it would go away soon. She hoped not, she rather enjoyed the sight. Finally making it to the battlefield, Saga lumbered through the desolate land in search of an opponent. However, it would seem that one would make its location and intent known, so she didn't have to search for long. Recognizing the howl as one in search of a spar, Saga made her way until she found what she found to be a very pretty, very exotic looking wolf. Sure, her own family was all manner of colorful and exotic too, this one just seemed to look even moreso. Instead of splashed with bright colors, she was a deep blue with leopard spots and pleasing gold markings that just complimented her look so well. Saga couldn't help but feel enthralled by her beauty, too. "I'm Saga, and I'm here looking to spar. Were you the one that called?" Saga

She wouldnt have  to wait long though she would have never expected a fucking bear to show up and challenge her to a fight. She kept her jaw from falling limp and decided to make the most of the situation. She'd never fought a bear before, so this was just a learning experience really. Plus it was on neutral terms, so there would be no real injuries.... though she wondered how given the long, sharp claws that bears were equipped with.

"Yes, it was," she started as she stood and rolled her shoulders back and forth to stretch them out. "I've never fought a bear before; this should be interesting," she smirked and parted her legs a bit beyond shoulder width to balance and brace herself in preparation.

The woman looked at her the way everyone looked at her when they saw her approach. She really believed now that it just...wasn't commonplace to see a polar bear that wasn't straight up just trying to rock your shit. She was used to it at this point though, and offered a half-hearted smile to the woman as she confirmed that it was her that had called for a spar. She claimed she had never fought a bear before, and honestly Saga could understand why her presence had caught her by surprise. Still, she prepared herself for the fight at hand, reminding herself to be careful so that she didn't seriously wound the woman. Once she allowed herself and her opponent a few moments to prepare, Saga nodded that she was ready, and then she charged. Large paws ate at the ground as she closed the distance between them, aiming to crash her weight into the wolf as she neared. She supposed she'd try to use her bulk, and provided she got close enough, she would aim a backhanded swing of her paw at the woman's shoulder in an effort to unbalance and knock her away. It couldn't be common to see a sentient polar bear wandering around these parts. They were in a desert! That was hardly the place for a polar bear, but she tried not to think about it for too long because she could see them preparing themselves before beginning to charge at her.

Even bigger than she expected, she was taken back by the speed of their approach and the strength of their swiping paw. Taking the brunt of the blow to her shoulder, she hissed at the certain bruise and knot that would be left behind and her head dipped down to snap at the thick skin on their forearm as her body pivoted around, hind feet side stepping to move up close alongside the bear.

"Speech!"

She succeeded in backhanding the woman, but the exotic wolf wouldn't remain still for long. Saga felt the bite on her forearm, earning the blue and gold babe a grunt of pain, but she pushed through, thankful she had her thick fur to help soften the blow, even if just a little bit. Instead of removing herself from the wolf's teeth, Saga would rise up on her hind legs, looking to yank the woman off her feet if she didn't let go. Stepping toward her to try and keep herself aligned, she sought to bring both paws down against the wolf (though without the force that would most certainly break bones). More like a less-than-gentle-but-not-so-harsh shove. Her attack was successful and she felt her grip hold on to the thick flesh and fur of the polar bear's forearm. She doubted it even hurt the animal, though she had to use quite the grip to hold on given the circumference of the arm she was holding onto. Her assumption was even further proven when the bear rose onto their hind paws in an attempt to drag her up with it or fall. Her reaction time wasn't as quick as she had hoped however, so when she had tried to let go, she had fallen a lot further than she expected and her elbows buckled beneath her as she landed on her paws.

The bear was coming down for her though and she was pretty trapped. Doing her best to dodge the heavy limbs coming down for her, she backed up as quick as she could as the bear crashed down and dove forward quickly, jaws snapping to make contact on the thick skin of their shoulder.

"Speech!"
