Wendigo hummed to himself as he meandered through the field, weaving his way through it as though there were real obstacles to be avoided though in reality there wasn't much there as long as you watched where you put your paws. Things were slowly coming together for him, plans he had chewed over for years coming to fruition, and all he needed now was to get his name out there, to get people talking. He could take the long way and spend time meeting everyone and shaking hands and kissing babies, or the quick and dirty way, and frankly Wendigo thought the latter would be far more fun. Build his name in the bloody viciousness of battle and brand it in trespass until everyone knew who he was. Wouldn't want to give people the wrong impression from the start, after all, and he was one to start the way he meant to go on. He was a Saxe, an Imperialis scion, and to think he would show off like a politician was a bit of a laugh. He had the example of his grandfather to show him restraint, but if he was afraid to rock the boat like so many were he would get nowhere.
A faint burble of a chuckle broke through his humming at the thought, and a bird broke from the shrubbery at the sound. The big male stopped to watch appreciatively when a falcon stopped out of nowhere to hit it.

Illusion observed the figure of a man as he confidently navigated the field, his movements made her wonder if he was just too confident or worth his salt. She noted his self-assured demeanor, though she did not know him. Maybe she should, you never knew where you’d find a promising soul, right? It wasn’t as though she had any fear in her body to tell her otherwise.
Stepping forward with a measured stride, the girl approached him with a calculated curiosity. She kept up her mask, innocence mixed with hardiness. A sharp gaze for a girl so young, but tempered with the softness of her general appearance. She didn’t need him to think she was just a scavenger incapable of caring for herself. “Excuse me. Have you seen a boy with gold markings on his face, like mine?” She asked, her voice neutral yet hopeful. Better to throw in the mention of her brother, at any rate.
