In his last year on the road, Ivy had... he'd seen some shit. He'd been through some shit. It was all shit he would try not to think about, try not to give too much heed to. Didn't matter. Didn't matter what was on the other side of hell, when he was here. Back home. Back home? What was left of it. Dully, Ivy wonders what's left of his family. Fuck.
Dragging himself into the Mangrove, the autumn sun was already damn near slipping from the horizon. Navy and orange sunset spread splendidly across the western sky-- it's already night in the east, from whence he's come. Starting to come to life around him, he knows it's beautiful here at night. A deep breath in his lungs... Boreas. The exhaustion may have been bone-deep, but he's home. Ivy finds a dry, sheltered spot at the base of a mangrove tree to rest.

Calliope is tired from walking. Tired from wandering, moving place to place. She's young and inexperienced. All she had known so far is her family, the pack, the isle. This was different. Being on her own, fending for herself, doing her own hunting. Thankful that she's at least larger than the average wolf, she's able to hold her own. For now. But tonight? She wants some sort of protection. A place where she can sleep without fearing for her safety. And the one place she knows where that can happen is mangroves.
Moving at a sloth-like pace, she searches for a large enough space for her to fit into. A yawn wrenches her mouth open wide, sleep brimming along the edges of her eyes. Careful not to be loud, not to draw attention to herself, she finally finds a mangrove large enough to fit into. Approaching with eager steps, she falters back a step when she sees a smaller wolf already curled up inside. A growl builds in her chest as her ears fall backward. Exhaustion flows through her and though she wants to rip him from the confines of safety, she has no energy. So instead, Calliope fits her own self beneath the safety of the mangrove roots and curls herself up around the man.
"I'm just here to sleep. So much as try to hurt me and I'll eat you for breakfast," Calliope warns, her deepened tones serious as she moves to rest her chin beside him.

Not entirely sure he hears them at first, he has to hold his breath to pick up the sound. Slow footsteps approaching, and Ivy's ear gives a twitch. By the time he's certain, she's already in view. Hackles lifting long his spine for a moment-- the girl is bigger. Taller, denser, and he stiffens. Home for fifteen minutes and he's already nose to nose with (back to side?) with danger. Tired from the long swim, muscles on fire, but... but she doesn't strike. Ivy's gaze is careful as his head picks up, though the ridge of fur along his back falls.
Warm against the chill of the autumn evening and pretty as she comes into focus in the dusky evening light, Ivy doesn't see how he can complain. "Didn't think I looked like a dumbass, guess it's too dark to tell in here." A smirk playing on his lips, resting in his tone. Ivy takes a moment to look the girl over, before resting his chin back on his paws. Couldn't complain, and he allows himself to relax some. Weight shifting comfortably towards her, making a show of being nonthreatening. Making a show of being handsome, too, in the fading sunlight.

Silently, she lays there and allows her own gaze to move over his midnight blue coat. For a male, he's small, but she's not bothered about it. Something, something, power trip, upper hand, whatever excuse she'll come up with later. Easier to take control when they're smaller than you, right? Pleased with her find, Calliope allows her eyes to close as he quips back at her.
In response, she nudges closer to him so that her body fully surrounds him. Slowly moving her muzzle until it's placed right beside his ear, she exhales briefly before speaking. "Yer a dumbass for staying, but also for not running so looks like its a lose, lose situation for you," Calliope teases back, her chest ruffling with a chuckle as her teeth reach out to rake over his cheek before she settles away from his face.

Something about control, that's true. Something else about scrawny emo boys with more jawline than sense. Ivy is perfectly happy right where he is, gaze bright. No longer alone, even if the company has some lip. Pretty face makes up for it. Stretching, sprawling, chancing closer-- why not? Better to get comfortable.
Surrounding him, drawing him in. Ivy's breath remains still, measured. A tilt of his chin, the man remains stiff. Tightly wound, careful. "Why would I run?" Dangerous undercurrent to his tone, smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Ivy can't help himself, not now. Not like this. "You're the one that climbed into close quarters with a strange man."
A murmur, her teeth against his cheek. Though she settled away from Ivy, he's quick to retaliate. Teeth, though he's near-tender in the way he uses them. Down her neck, stopping at the shoulder. Brief-- ah, just brief. He's playing a dangerous game. Fuck it. Makes him feel alive.

His words bring a low grumble from her chest, a near chuckle. Something amused, something dangerous. "Yer right, I am worth sticking around for," Calliope replies, voice husky as he mentions that she was the one who climbed in with a strange man. Looking at him with a raised brow, she quietly 'tsks' under her breath.
Before she can speak, he's quick to rake his teeth down her own neck. The sensation is sensual and brief, her eyes half-closing, neck stretching out, inviting him. Another pleased grumble under her breath as her toes stretch out before her body relaxes once more. "I have found out that strange men fuck better than the ones you know best," she murmurs back, nose pressing to his cheek before her tongue reaches out to drag across his muzzle. Would it scare him off or invite him in? Her heart raced in anticipation, mind swirling, hormones going a bit too out of control. Hitting puberty really was a bitch, wasn't it?

Warmth blooming in his chest, in his stomach. After all this time, he's still a man. Still a man with needs. Tipping his chin, murmuring darkly in her ear. Fuck, she's a pretty thing... pretty, and far too close. Ivy wouldn't turn her down. If she's offering, he's going to take. Teeth digging in behind her ears, raking down her neck.
Ivy's weight shifted, his body moving to overtake the girl. She's bigger, sure, but he has a presence. His touch is practiced, skillful. Her neck, her jaw, her chest, applying more pressure and tugging harder than perhaps the normal man. "Is that right, sweetheart? Is that what you need?" Stoking the fires, Ivy's touch at her jaw is dangerous.
Teeth at her neck, digging in enough to prove a point. A squeeze, a growl, a grin. Weight rocking into hers, subtly trying to take control despite his size.

For a towering figure like Calliope, finding a male her size is difficult. The fortunate thing is she doesn't mind it. Actually, prefers it when they're smaller than her. Makes her feel powerful. As if she's the one in control even if she's letting them think otherwise. So when the stranger shifts, moving so that he's overtaking her, she leans back, revealing all of her soft and tender areas for him. A quiet hum of pleasure rumbles in her chest as his teeth rake along her skin.
The pressure of his jaw against her neck has her closing her eyes, lips and toes curling in only the way another could make it happen. "Need is an understatement," Calliope purrs, eyes opening to graze over his form, taking in that masculine figure that hovers over her. "Show me that you can handle a girl like me," her smirk lingers, teeth reaching once more to graze his chin, tongue moving to lick at his muzzle.
