Iscariot hadn't bargained for quite this much cold, not when she'd left. Fuck, maybe she should have waited for the turn of summer-- no. There were no regrets, not anymore. Riot was past that now, long past, and she wouldn't give heeds to the thoughts that swirled within her head. Too much noise between her ears. Too much to do. She can't get any of it done if she's going to freeze her tail off in the process. Catching the seal had been the first order of business. Really, hadn't been too bad. The kill was quick, clean. Iscariot wasn't hungry, no. She's doing this for the hide and the hide alone, and for that reason, she's chosen the very prettiest of prey. It's with the upmost care that she begins stripping the beast of its hide, working with surgical precision. Wrapped up in her project, the rest of the world fades away, and morning begins to drift toward noon. A cold sun hangs around her shoulders, offering no warmth. Hidden from the breeze by the rocky shores, at least Riot has some protection from the elements. |

Aresenn watched Iscariot from a distance, his eyes narrowing as he studied her technique. He was not there to jump in and save the day-- hadn't been asked to, won't be unless something went entirely wrong. But at the same time, he wouldn’t let her struggle too much if she did need help. His gaze was sharp, flicking over her every move, his own fingers twitching in response to the rhythm of her work. There was a certain satisfaction in watching someone else do the slaughtering for once, though he couldn't remember ever having used a seal's hide for anything other than eating.
Finally, deciding he could stand the idle watching no longer, Aresenn moved to where Iscariot was working. Drawing closer, he noticed the precision with which she stripped the seal skin from its flesh. “That’s quite the catch.” He remarked, closing the distance between them.
