Seasonal skill prompt[Fighting]: Night stalker
c a s I m I r
it was night and he knew better than to find his way back to armada, his new home. it was always cold here; earning his shivers & shudders, but the way of life was calmer here since coming from auster. a pleasantness he wasn't expecting. basilisk must've known that, his new alpha. knowing nothing of his backstory, casimir intended to study him and his ways. & so far, casimir delighted in him. finding him to be sensible, friendly and simple natured.
the sky was a deep indigo hue with the moonlight as bright as ever cascading down the many mountain tops. it glistened atop the heavy blankets of snow and otherwise, it was mostly silent with the occasionally cries of nearby hawks. the wolf was getting use to the constant stringing of snow beneath his paws, but the tendency of slips were more troublesome in the dark. deciding he'd like to live another day, the preservative casimir found a cave entrance not too far away from his new home. it was sheltered from the snow and warmer inside. so he ventures further in.
after some time, he found himself trailing down a cavernous path that dimmed further & further of light. he sought to get away from the whipping winds and snow, so he crept further down, not minding what was behind him. but his ears caught the sound of gravel spilling over near him. his claws tapped the terrain as he came to a pause, checking over his shoulder towards the sound of skidding rocks to his far left. swiveling ears, casimir snorted, his eyes finding nothing in the depth of darkness around him. with furrowed brows and a look of concern, casimir stared into the void with only the lining of faint moon light from the entry point providing a soft silhouette. but there was nothing he could make out of it. sighing, the bloke returned and began to trot forward again.. only to hear something shift near the left again. someone was stalking him. it's then he smelt the scent of a snow leopard- a foreign predator he'd never dealt with back at home. and there was no time for practice.
immediately, casimir twirled around with ears flattening as he took on a defensive stance, ready to confront the animal. and within seconds of his preparation came forth a large female feline with fangs bared; glinting at him as he braced himself against it. sudden shrieks from the cat echoed and clashed with the snarling of casimir who quickly stood on his hind limbs, arms forward as he reached out the embrace the feline. the cat's claws hooked into his back, and it's mouth quickly bit into his chest area. yelps left the wolf's maw as he quickly met the cat with his own attack, coming to clamp down on the nape of the feline.
biting down with awesome force, he ignored the pain that surged from chest. adrenaline filling his veins and keeping him focused as he began to tug & thrash at the exposed skin of the cat. unforgiving in his locking bite, easily tearing through it's pelt then tasting the reward of warmer blood. agitated, the feline released her latch and began it's attempt to remove it's body form the dangerous hug casimir held over it. screeching and moving in a blur only to assist in the ripping of it's flesh, casimir finally did release his latch.
coming back at each other again, the cat came to snap at his neck, grazing him with a two wounds that bled through his white fur, the contrast of it easy to see. fueled, casimir then came diving down with his own opened maw, latching onto the cheek area of the feline's face to which it then gave way to a howling roar of pain. puncturing through and near the eye socket, all four canines held onto the cat. it painted casimir's maw red with it's blood that pooled into his mouth.
for some time, the noise of the fight filled around them but eventually, it would die down. as they both grew tiresome and weaker. with one final thrash, casimir would release his grip. the cat would also stumble down, obviously maimed with an injured eye. it hissed at him, angered and defeated before seeking to leave without it's intended meal.
hastily, the feline darted as fast as it could, dashing back to the entry of the cave and leaving the fight all together. left alone, casimir's breath fogged as he panted, weary and fatigued as he began to limp back to the entrance himself. with such a random fight, he was forced to return to armada in search of a medic. the pain becoming potent with each passing minute as blood seeped from the many claw wounds on his back. this was going to be one hell of a story at the bonfire.
"talk" "Think"
casimir is noble, orderly, distant and usually protective. he is not inherently mature with language, nor will his posts be. regardless, he will have some tendencies of mature topics.
