Atreyu had followed the young pup all the way home, coming to rest at the edge of pack lands. After looking around to make sure they were safe here, Atreyu then called out for the alpha and the pup's father. She had no idea they would be one in the same, though she was about to find out. Waiting on the border, the spotted woman refused to move another inch until she had an invitation, and possibly not even then. She had her own pack to look for, her family needed to be found as soon as possible. The dire woman would not wait any longer than she had to, then she would be on her way. "What is your name, little one? I am Atreyu." She asked curiously, wondering why on earth she hadn't thought to ask sooner.

Gilgamesh is out patrolling as he does now when the stranger calls out from the border. As of late, their visitors had been few and far between so it would come as no surprise that he was well, surprised. Ears alert, eyes bright, tail raised as he changes his path and moves briskly toward the border.

When he draws closer, he sees Sagittarius with an unknown woman. A brow rises, hackles puffing slightly as he moves to close the distance. What was Sagittarius doing with a stranger? Alone with a stranger at that too. His expression remains constantly stoic as he turns to look at Sagittarius.

“To me, now,” Gilgamesh speaks sternly to the pup, making sure she is over by him before looking up to the stranger. “My gratitude for escorting her home,” his tone is more relaxed, but still terse as he watches the stranger.

The girl looked up to Atreyu and laughed tenderly, her tail swaying back and forth as she bowed wanting to play like her and Cutlass always have. The scent of father drifted upon the winds towards the duo. Her heart growing more excited as his voice erupted from him. 'To me now' it wasn't a question, it was a demand. Something that the young girl known. "But daddy, she is Atreyu. A friend. She played and watched over me." Her little voice stated with confidence. Looking to Atreyu than to her father. "Do you know the story of the great giant wolf that left his paw print?" Excitedly, her tail still dancing around behind her. Sure, she didn't know or understand all what contained of pack life. But hell, she'd ask anyway. "Can she stay and tell brothers and sisters the story of the giant wolf?" Sagittarius Fallen

Atreyu indulged the little pup in some play before the scent of the alpha flowed through the air. Straightening as he approached, Atreyu cleared her throat and bowed her head to him respectfully. Adept eyes pick up his unease, the protective posture of a parent. Oh, boy...had she just brought home a princess? 'My gratitude for escorting her home.' He seems a bit more at ease, but she could tell he was definitely guarded. Perhaps there was good reason to mistrust strangers.

Judila could have certainly done with a smidge more mistrust, but that was the past. Atreyu returned her focus to the here and now, giving a reassuring smile to the seemingly worried father. "It was no trouble, she is so sweet." There was only genuine honesty in her usual stoic voice, warm tones carrying with them her own worry for the pup. "She's right, I am Atreyu Morningstar." To little Sagittarius she said, "I can't stay long, little one, I have a family to find. But, I will come back and tell you the story of the giant wolf one day soon, if it's alright with your daddy." Her smile to the little pup is a genuine one, and so is the wave of her spotted tail. She adored pups, and would like it if the alpha would allow her to come back one day.

That day could not be today, however. She needed to find her family and pack mates, if any of them had survived.

The words Sagittarius speaks has his fur bristling. She was too young, too naive to understand the harsh realities of the world, but to go wandering alone? He figured the pups understood that wasn’t allowed. That they could explore as long as they took an older wolf or companion with them… A sigh leaves his lips, yellow eyes looking down upon his daughter.

“No and definitely no,” he replies, curt and serious. Sagittarius would learn a lesson today even if she return to her mother in tears. Taking a step closer to the border, moving to place himself between the pup and stranger, his attention is direction there when Atreus speaks. It could all be a ruse to sneak in and spy on their pack… A diversion for something else.

“I cannot stop her when she is grown to do what she pleases, but until then, the answer is still no,” there is a growl to his tone that is more than serious. “We currently do not allow strangers onto pack lands,” there is a threat in his tone, yellow eyes leveling with Atreyu, silent words that the loner should clearly understand.

That feeling of her father being dissapointed in her shook Sagittarius to her core. It wasn't something she meant to do, but it was who she was. She loved adventures and was super curious to the world around her. Listening to the sigh that slipped from fathers lips had the pup worried she was in more trouble. Wanting her father to understand that Atreyu meant no harm, and it was Sagittarius's fault, not the others. Her tail curled between her hind legs as eyes glance to Atreyu and then her father, shivers cover her small frame. "But papa." It was all she could muster, yellow eyes much like her fathers looking towards her friend, her tail giving a sway back and forth. That's when Gil had stepped inbetween them, and Sagittarius known he was serious by the tone he given and the stance. Dipping her head down. Sagittarius Fallen

The hope that the small pup exuded was contagious, but it was immediately killed by the denial of her father. "No and definitely no." He said, his tone matter-of-fact and one that Atreyu meant there would be no arguments or changing his mind. Atreyu couldn't help but feel a bit crestfallen, it almost felt like heartbreak, but it was not her heart that seemed to have broken. When the pup made to say something else, Atreyu could remember having the same moments with her own father. No, she could see there would be no changing his mind on this. It seemed his mistrust was stronger than she thought, but she completely understood. Atreyu would be wary of strangers for the rest of her life after the massacre of her home pack.

She didn't trust the world any longer either, why should she expect a stranger to let her in their home? "Little one, I know it's hard, but we have to listen to what your papa says." To Gilgamesh, she gave a nod of her spotted pink head. "I understand. I am Atreyu Morningstar, by the way. I am glad to have gotten her home safe." Her holographic gaze slides to Sagittarius, a sad smile on her face, "You be good, okay?" With that, she made her goodbyes and turned to leave. Looking over her shoulder at the pair, she memorized their faces. Maybe she would see them again in the future.
