It had been some time since the lanky boy's face had been seen by the Glaciem wolves. Though he had never been quite whole, now he truly felt broken -- beaten and battered, though his state of mind was entirely unrelated to most of the things that had occurred recently. No; instead, he longed terribly for Kangi, who's presence had grown scarcer and scarcer until it was all but nonexistent, and his dear Euphrosyne seemed busy caring for her new children and not at all for him.

And so he would learn to live in the safety of the shadows, hiding behind trees at night, weaving over unforeseen obstacles and seeking refuge beneath fallen trees, almost always keeping to himself. He was becoming an expert at moving alone, at being all but invisible.

And yet he was still here, in Glaciem; he had nowhere else to go. Nobody else in the world. The lanky brown-furred boy would escape the confinements of his den, bracing himself as the bitter winter wind lashed out against his small frame. The air was cold here, but he had grown accustomed to the winter here already. Paws would trek through the thick snow as he would grace the daylight with his presence, a rare and strange thing -- but the hunger in his belly was growing too painful for him to bear. He needed to find something to eat.

The yearling had been fairly alone for a time in the pack, few others were around his age, which meant few friends and few to explore and grow with. When a familiar scent filled his nose, he reflected on the night where he had snuck from the den that he had shared with his adopted mother, and he had met even it was brief the wolf known as Talon. Turning he moved towards the scent, curiousity prickling at him, he hadn't scented the wolf in a long time, and quickly his stride moved into an excited bound.

Coming in sight of the other wolf, he'd slow and speak, "Talon?" The question would be open ended, as uncertainty filled his tones. Orange eye would cast onto the male and he'd feel concern for his pack-mate stir. "Are you okay?" He would ask quietly, and then wonder if the other would even recall meeting him as a younger pup.

Though he knew he ought to expect the presence of other wolves nearby, he found himself startled at the arrival of the other male. The scent of a familiar wolf would surround him like a thick fog, enveloping him -- his instinct was to run and hide, but slowly he began to remember who the scent belonged to. Seth. A boy he had met once, when he was very much a child still. Slowly his body would turn, his movements strange as he hopped to face the male.

Talon had changed significantly since he'd left Seracia; he'd grown much more serious and detached than he ever thought was possible. And yet Seth's presence elicited a small smile from the male, as his tail began to wag slowly where it lay behind him at his hocks.

The sun was high in the sky, signifying that the day was half over at best -- though the sun was shining, the air was bitterly cold and the snow still refused to melt. "Seth, right?" the three-legged boy inquired softly, head tilting to the side. "I'm fine. Need to go hunting." It was not an easy feat, but he'd rather not depend on the charity of others; it didn't seem most Glaciem wolves were capable of being so selfless, anyway. Instead, he would subsist on small game that he was lucky enough to catch himself.
