Ely opened her eyes, erasing the hold the memory had on her. Those times were long gone from her life. While it was alright to look back on them fondly. She didn’t care to dwell on memories of her parents or siblings.
Ely met talyssa gaze again. She didn’t feel like it was her memories exactly that made her who she was. It was how her mother sculpted her. She didn’t often spend time reminiscing over her past.
But she nodded to the woman, standing up to leave, she shot the Sidi woman a look - it’s time to go. Before she left.

Nila’s memory was one of happiness. Of when she felt the most carefree. She had her mama and her best friend. It brought silent tears to her eyes. She wished she could go back in time. To be that little girl again who’s only real concern was when she’d get to play with her Kai again.
Opening her eyes as instructed, she quickly wiped the tears from her eyes. She knew this lesson was ganna hurt her. While her memory was a happy one it still hurt to recall. Things had changed so much since that time.
Nila nodded along as the woman talked about memories shaping people. To that she agreed. Without her memories she wouldn’t be who she was today. But the lesson came to a close. And again she was whisked away by her escort before she could talk to the woman who had taught them another lesson.

Talyssa arched a brow at Setekh's question, her pale steel gaze betraying her interest. The mention of cherished memories caught her somewhat off guard; the Hallows had many traditions and tales, but personal history was often cushioned within the larger narrative of the pack. What was her most cherished? This was a question she hadn’t ever really thought to entertain. Her mind danced back to the past, combing through memories like a scholar flipping through the pages of an ancient book. Countless images rushed at her: the exhilaration of her first successful hunt, the pride in her father's eyes when she learned to swim, how her mother had indulged her interests and guided her desire to learn, spending her first night with Quill. Each memory was precious, each an integral part of her history. How could she possibly single out a favorite? “I am from a southern pack who is very prominent in its intellectual pursuits. It was with the scholars I mentored under - their massive library that I have come to know what I know.” That was the easy part of his question.
Now for the more difficult. “I’m afraid that I don’t think I can pick a favorite memory, though I have several that I’m fond of.” She said with a gentle smirk, “But do you have a favorite memory?” She asked, returning his question.

Setekh nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. “I understand well.” He said, his voice carrying a thoughtful resonance. “I was raised surrounded by knowledge. Libraries filled with ancient texts and scrolls, and a host of teachers and scholars to guide me. It was a world of endless learning and discovery.”
“But if I were to choose my most cherished memory,” He paused, a smile touching his lips as his eyes softened with the recollection, all a controlled visage in the face of this golden woman, “It would be the day my daughter made her first kill.” Though, it was not a deer she had hunted down while he watched with twisted pride.

Illusion's ears perked up as she caught Talyssa's thoughtful pause. Setekh's question seemed to have struck a chord, delving into the depths of memory. As Illusion listened, her own thoughts echoed Talyssa's sentiment – how could one choose a single memory when so many defined one's essence?
Talyssa's response brought a faint frown to Illusion's face. The mention of a southern pack with a rich intellectual tradition piqued her curiosity. So much knowledge and history wrapped in the minds of the scholars, influencing the lives of those who learned under them. She wanted to learn, to be smarter than this woman. Than anyone.
