This was a necessary task that had been looming for some time. Erebos had made it clear. However, the idea of not being able to see him was unbearable. She hung her head in silence, wishing he would accompany her, but knowing he had greater aspirations. The damsel respected him and his decisions.

She cautiously approached the rim of the canyon, recalling the battle she had with the majestic golden mountain lion in that very spot, a fight she wanted no part of. Despite this, she cherished the memory as a token of her own hidden inner strength. As she reached the water, another towering mountain of stone rose before her.

As the woman continued forward, she realized it wasn't a mountain but rather a peak with sharp points. She was curious to explore further, but knew she didn't have time. Her ears were perked to the side as she gazed towards Erebos, wondering why the sight was so haunting. Despite the lush green grass around the edges, questions flooded the woman's mind.

She kept moving, avoiding certain areas. Swallet Ring was up ahead, visible in the distance. Night began to fall, with stars starting to appear in the sky. She listened to the water gently lapping against the shore. Fic glanced at Erebos, wondering if he also needed to rest. Letting out a yawn, she found a cozy spot to rest, seeking shelter from any potential outsiders.

She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, but a light rest would suffice. The woman couldn't recall how long they had been walking, but it felt like an eternity until they finally stumbled upon a hidden thicket within Swallet Ring. With one eye open, she watched as the stars twinkled and shone above Auster and the world. Another day had passed, bringing another night.

The night passed by too quickly as she gave Erebos a kiss before they had to eat. Fish wouldn't be the best meal, but it was better than nothing. She cautiously entered the water, hoping he would remain asleep. Snagging a fish quickly, she returned to shore, bit its head to prevent movement. She repeated this process multiple times, almost a dozen.

Upon her return, Erebos observed her closely. It would be a satisfying meal before embarking on a journey through dry, barren lands and desolate wastelands. She felt a chill at the thought of the next lands she would have to traverse, following the scent of Eltrys and Saga.

Saga the bear appeared friendly, as did Eltrys the Ranger of Polaris. Perhaps Erebos was correct in saying that Polaris was the safest place for her. She focused on the fish, eating two and giving the rest to Erebos, who needed more food. Despite his offer for her to eat more, she politely declined. They both agreed to continue on their journey. The pair didn't waste no more time. Agreeing it was time to continue on.

As the sun started to ascend, she realized she hadn't slept well, but it was enough to keep going. She felt frustrated that she couldn't just be with him, but she understood why. Her paw pads quietly carried her through the desolate grove, where the trees provided little protection from the elements. The ground was not too hot on her paws, so the pair pressed on.

The boneyard was the one place that filled her with fear, a desolate wasteland of bones and skeletons strewn around haphazardly. Avoiding their gaze was impossible. However, Talyssa's words reminded her that some had been here for years, perhaps even centuries, long before the wolves claimed this place as their own.

As she walked, her paws lightly touched a scattering of bones, causing her shoulders to twitch. Some bones felt smooth, while others were rough, and a few still had remnants of flesh and fur clinging to them. Vultures circled above, pecking at the bones and spreading their wings to make themselves seem larger. Unbeknownst to her, the boneyard slowly transformed into a softer landscape.

She was drawn to a gentle babbling creek, where she stooped to drink and satisfy her thirst. As she lapped at the water, her tail wagged with joy. The scents of Eltrys and Saga lingered near the edges of the territory, along with others. Glancing at Erebos, she moved closer to him, not daring to speak or call out to the others. She longed for him to stay by her side, Allowing him to call out, if he wished.

ooc: please refer to the post before this one for details pertaining to their journey to Polaris. Please note Erebos has not yet joined Hellborn in this timeline & thread. He smells of insomnia only, still.

it had taken them days but he was a painstaking mate; traveling alongside her closely to ensure that not only did she actually abide his wishes of joining polaris, but that she made it there in one piece. he was a hovering brute and distrustful by nature. but he needed fic to reside somewhere safe, with her friends. he expected this to raise questions of why she simply did not stay with him in insomnia. and this, he prepared for along with other updates. insomnia was no longer his home. with polaris in good standing to insomnia, he didn't expect any issues let alone wrongful suspicions. for his reasons were quite simple if not sincere: fic did not reside in a pack, & neither did he currently. but he didn't feel comfortable with fic remaining as a rouge. for who would tend to her and keep her safe when he was away? who could heal her if she hurt herself? it made sense to guide her to a pack. polaris just happened to be where eltrys was: someone she trusted.

as they finally did discover polaris's border, the dire wolf would come to a yield. he slightly grunted, signifying she halt as well. "you ready?" he asked, his gaze firm. turning to the borders once more, he shot his chin up to release a deep & powerful bellow announcing his presence at the borders and calling for the alpha that reigned here, and eltrys.

A somewhat familiar call rang through the creek. They knew his name! He must know them... It was a deep voice like his own and it made him curious. Erebos? What was Erebos doing on their borders? He strolled his way through the underbrush toward the creek, his large paws carried him through the water and reeds. Through the shifting leaves, he could spy the dark and imposing build of Erebos first, then next to him the light form of Fic.

Was she hurt? There was no alarm in the call, so perhaps not. He emerged from the foliage, a curious gleam in his arctic eyes.

"Fic, Erebos! You are a welcome sight. You are at the border of Polaris. Are you both thinking of joining?" He asked, wasn't Erebos still of Insomnia? Saga would still need to accept or decline their guests, but he was sure she was on her way.

If Identification was going to be honest, she wasn't ready. Not at all. And the woman hid that with vocals but not glances every now and again. Sure, she understood why Erebos had brought her here, but didn't like the idea not being able to do what she needed to for him. Not at all. And cursed under her breath silently about it. However she understood that he cared and wanted nothing more than her safety, but she didn't want it. She wanted the adventure, the life she had when her and Erebos were together. If she was accepted, would Saga and the others stop her from seeing him. That right there caused her to worry.

A soft whimper was given before the sound of someone approaching them, soon the male came into veiw. Eltrys, emerald pools looking to him then to Erebos. "Eltrys, as you are a welcoming sight as well. I..." her voice trailed off before finding itself once more. "I am thinking about joining, well can't say only me. But we both think it would be a good idea." Eyes turned to Erebos, and her heart sunk slowly. Knowing what he needed to do. She just wanted to be beside him.

he's already on edge- binary eyes darting at the movement within the thickets as eltrys emerges. good. sighing, he relaxed some though his eyes held a usual dogma to them. a direct, decisive gaze. hearing fic whimper, he came to hover before her in a protective follow, instinctively protecting and keeping his mate safe. no danger lured here it seemed, but her uncertainty beckoned his more rigid side. knowing nothing of polaris and somehow, even of eltrys. he did away with the small talk, diving straight to the point per habit. "I've moved on from insomnia-, all in good doing. Fic is a rouge and I want her safe; we are parting ways momentarily. We agree Polaris is the best fit for her." he didn't bother to check in with her- knowing their intimate, silent understanding & prior discussions. "Where is your leader, Eltrys?" he inquired, dipping his head in formal greet. the air around him tight & professional.

Eltrys watched the pair curiously, his arctic gaze studying their demeanor and words as the mild autumn wind encircled them. Fic was the picture of hesitance and unease. She wasn't sure, she was doing what Erebos thought was right for her, it was clear to Eltrys. What puzzled him though was how it seemed that Erebos intended to leave her here.

Eltrys's gaze flicks to Erebos with a quizzical and concerning glance as Fic speaks, then back to Fic with a gentle look.
"If joining Polaris is your wish, Fic, then we can certainly make the arrangements. Here we treat all members equally, we have no servants, and we accept and celebrate the differences between each member."

He draws his attention to Erebos with a raised brow, "Are you intending on joining her here when your business is concluded then, Erebos?" Polaris was meant to be a sanctuary, not a holding cell for slaves or lovers of other packs, "We could use your muscle to help protect her." He suggested. He wondered how Haydee or Saga would weigh in on this arrangement.

His demeanor softened with amusement as Erebos cut right to the question of where their leader was.

"Ah, Saga will arrive precisely when she means to. We don't tend to rush around here. I assure you I can at least take your questions and provide as much information as I can. I'm the Guardian, one of the beta's here." He settled down, the picture of ease.

A call from the borders, though Saga didn't recognize it. She was on the far side of the territory when it came, so it took her a while to get there to meet whoever was waiting. Luckily, Eltrys had arrived to greet them first, and as Saga finally emerged from her side of the lands, she recognized the she-wolf. She hadn't arrived in time to hear the conversation that was had already, but that was fine. She approached the three wolves, nodding a thanks to Eltrys before turning her attention to Fic and the male. "Sorry for my lateness. I do apologize,"

She offered an apologetic smile before glancing over at Fic, noticing her demeanor and wondered what was wrong. "It is nice to see you again, Fic. How can I help you two?"
