Duties of the pack had taken over in full swing. He hadn't felt so... useful in a long time. His days of what felt like a retirement in Elysium were over. Being one of his sister's right hand men meant great responsibility and going back to the importance of making sure everything was in order for the pack. That didn't mean he didn't try hard for Elysium, but he was back into the vein of his heritance.
He made the time to come by Elysium, yes for Mariah. As he had intended since their last meeting when he visited with his father. It had been some time though, and he hoped she wouldn't have thought he had forgotten her. The seasons had changed, the pack was getting settled. And he would be back.
He stood at the borders, as much as felt he was welcome inside. He called for her and waited. At least hoping it was a good time for her or that she wasn't out already. She wasn't aware he'd be showing up today after all. A satchel with a few things to picnic, and a place in mind to stop their paws. It was the best he could gentleman her.

Mariah had been going through one of her painfully common phases of relentless work, her mind a churn of responsibilities, tasks, and, of course, the ever-present nightmares. A cold shiver ran through her at the mere remembrance of the latter. Yet today was different. As she wandered the mainland side of their territory, a distant call disrupted the cycle of her thoughts. A familiar voice that warmed her heart and eased the tension in her body. Cerberus.
Her steps, previously meandering with no particular destination, now held purpose as she moved towards the voice. Her silver eyes scanned the horizon, and there he stood, a silhouette against the sky. Her sterling gaze met his, and soft smile touched her lips. She approached him, her paws sinking slightly into the soft ground as the wind played with tufts of her fur. The world around them seemed to take a breath of relief, as if it too had been yearning for this reunion. The oppressive void of her nightmares retreated a bit, replaced with a comforting presence.
"Hello, Cerberus." She greeted, her voice soft but carrying an unmistakable warmth. “What brings you here today?” She asked, her eyes flickering with curiosity as she noticed the satchel draped across his broad shoulders.
