and he did not come alone. behind him was kronos, Atticus and Enyo. Nikolaos couldn’t of been too far behind- remembering father would send him only after the trio made way first. kronos was particularly assigned to navigate them through the new land and avoid unwanted.. problems. zephyros didn't mind- paying no attention to the different feelings inside that might've signified his relief of not traveling alone in foreign territory. pausing once for only a second, he chuffed lowly- releasing a strong and guttural bellow meant to keep the others close by. "Hurry. With you three, we could take all night." his ears flicker, fanning off the annoyance before continuing his trot ahead of the.

Disaster
The family wasn't large, but was big enough to fend for themselves. Especially when they worked together. The masculine took in the different scents, storing them for later use. His tail flicked, as ears faced back against his own skull, a low growl of his own released. "A fucking goose chase. He's probably out chasing tail." Atticus spoke out, always one to voice his opinions and thoughts especially around his own family. Although most of the time he was silent. The sounds of owls gave way alerting others that the family was here.
Enyo moved with the practiced ease of one who had seen countless nights like this. A large and domineering ghost in the night, she moved silently. While she would typically be clad in silver armor, she decided it would be best to lighten her load and leave it behind back home. All she had was the Kopis sword sheathed across her back. The indigo sky was their only witness as they traversed the rugged terrain of Boreas, each step a testament to their unwavering resolve. Zephyros led with his determination, his thunderous gait a stark contrast to the quiet night. The urgency in his movements was palpable, and Enyo could feel the weight of the mission pressing heavily on them all. Érebos’s absence was more than a mere inconvenience, it was a potential fracture in their family’s stability, and the search had to be thorough. They needed to find him immediately.
Kronos's role as their navigator is crucial. Atticus’s behind them. His more relaxed approach, perched on a fallen tree stump, was a contrast to Zephyros’s relentless pace, but Enyo understood the value of his vigilance. As Zephyros’s bellow sliced through the night, Enyo’s ears flicked, acknowledging the command. His irritation was evident, but it was matched by the sense of urgency that coursed through their group. “Hurry. With you three, we could take all night,” Zephyros had said, his tone laced with frustration.
Enyo's own frustration simmered beneath the surface, but she kept it in check. The search was indeed grueling, and the hours they had already spent combing the land were starting to take their toll. She caught Atticus’s low growl and dismissive comment from the distance, a reminder of the strained patience within their ranks.
Atticus’s frustration was understandable, but it was also misplaced. They had a job to do, and while his words might reflect his mood, they did nothing to aid their cause. Enyo’s gaze shifted to him, her eyes meeting his with a blend of reproach and understanding. How did Nike fail to beat the whiny complaining out of this one? “We all share the same goal, Atticus. Complaining won’t speed up the search. We need to stay focused if we want to find Érebos.”, she stopped walking to stare at him, "So if I was you I would get off that log and follow." It wasn't a suggestion. As far as the group was concerned she was the current matriarch. Erebros' love life was unknown, while they were all certain he was bedding women... whether he had a wife or not was not so certain. Although she hoped he didn't, it would take away any equality she had to her brothers despite being their senior and often superior.
Enyo's voice was firm but carried a note of encouragement. Despite the tension, she knew that maintaining unity was crucial. They were a small family, but their strength lay in their ability to work together. She moved closer to Zephyr and asked, her voice low and steady. “Any signs or patterns that might lead us to Érebos? Perhaps I should send Foberos ahead. She knows that brute well and even his hawk." She nodded up to the peregrine falcon, silently flying above. Fearlessly the bird of prey flew despite owls. Should they try her, the bird knew to fly to her owner's shoulder. It was extremely frustrating just how little information they were given. Leave it to their parents to throw their children in the fire. No knowledge. Just a mission.
Enyo pressed on, her movements synchronized with those of her siblings. The land was vast and unforgiving, but they were determined to cover every inch. She knew the importance of their mission and the potential repercussions if they failed. Her role was to support, guide, and ensure that their efforts were not in vain. As they continued their search, Enyo’s mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, but her focus remained on the task at hand. The family’s unity was their greatest asset, and she was determined to ensure that their collective strength would lead them to Érebos.
“Let’s keep pushing,” she said to her siblings, her voice carrying a sense of determination. “We’ve come this far, and we’re not giving up. We will find him.”

Truth be told he had already forgotten whatever this nonsensical mission was. It was not something he held in particularly high importance, but he would go along with whatever he needed to go along with. He was anything if not a team player. Especially with his family, as was expected. He did not want to be labelled as a rebel or anything scandalous. After all it was important to be loved by one’s family.
A loud and brutish sound caught his attention. It had a familiar tone and he grinned to himself. He was not an expert tracker by any means but at least he had been able to locate his family. His ears twitched as he sped up in order to catch up to his siblings. He would be grateful to stop this trek, he was in dire need of a bath. He was covered in sweat and dust and honestly it made him extremely uncomfortable.
He arrived to catch the end of Enyo’s sentence and his ear’s twitched in confusion, ”Family” he said by way for greeting and falling into pace with them. He glanced around and noticed a particularly important member was missing and he clenched his jaw in irritation. That meant that they would not be stopping any time soon. But he knew better than to comment. He did not want and backlash that would put him in a bad light, he wouldn’t want to be seen as one who complained.

He walked alongside the river, but not too close since he didn't quite feel like going for a swim. Not just that, but the way the rapids looked, surely a less than strong swimmer would be swept away, and they'd have a helluva time trying to get out...assuming they made it, of course. Glacial blue eyes spotted the jagged rocks that jutted from the waters surface. He scented the air, but found no sign of their missing brother. Looking to the trees on the other side of river, he saw nothing but the occasional firefly. The silhouette of a deer watching them with wariness. A rabbit digging around at the base of a bush. He had to admit, this place wasn't bad. There was plenty of water, obviously.
The black and white male had his nose to the ground some distance away from the others, scoping out the scents only to find that Erebos' scent was lacking still. Huffing, his gaze narrowed as he looked across the river again, wondering if he might be further out. They had trekked a great deal, looking everywhere they could since they arrived, but something told him there was even more to search yet. How big were these lands? Already he noticed there were packs a plenty here, surely he was among at least one of them, no? The ground was damp underfoot. Surely if his brother was around somewhere, there would at least be pawprints...
Still, they had plenty to do, and little time to do it. He took his time making his way to the others, keen ears hearing their banter in the nearby distance. Zeph had led them here, but Kronos was the one they needed to track the bastard down. Glancing up at the night sky, he huffed as he realized they'd have to slow their pace and potentially find somewhere to camp out for the night. Taking a quick drink of water, he changed course to join his siblings at last.
"He's not here. We need to go further." He approached slowly, looking at each sibling in turn before he joined and sat down near the stump his brother sat upon. "Whether or not he's chasing tail is his business, but he must be here somewhere...my gut tells me so." He looked to Zephyros, "We've traveled far. We ought to rest for the night and resume in the morning. Perhaps even come up with a plan before we run ourselves ragged in unknown lands surrounded by unknown packs."
he made his long journey from the west of boreas- coming to the land to collect items of value that he'd need for the relentless training he'd soon undergo. he sought a band soon, but he wouldn't leave the idea of a true pack being fought for. he needed to gain mastery of his skill set first. both in healing and in fighting.
the sky began to let up with dawn approaching. early morning taking place as he finally made his way half through the territory. packs were everywhere so he kept mindful of his direction. its then his erect ears catch the sound of washed out communication. distant still but he listened enough to hear where they came from. quickly, he lifted his snout towards the higher air currents, catching their scents by the many. plenty of brutes and a female but their colognes were particular. taking some moments to realize, his eyes momentarily widened as he gasped at the sudden news of his most anticipated arrival.
without second thought, Érebos charged towards the group- slowing down his gallop as he finally emerged from the thickets near the group's right. his eyes fixated on them all, as if gold presented themselves before him. he barked, tail wagging and rising like a banner above his back. ears flattened momentarily as he displayed excitement and eagerness. "how pleased i am to see you all!" he panted. a side of him no one saw but these wolves did. even still, his affection was missing. not coming to hug them or plaster kisses over their faces. rather he gave a smile and a tail wag. feeling whole before them all, if not proud.
standing tall, he watched them all with his piercing gaze. "and what of nike and father? how is everyone there?" he wanted to familiarize with them once more. nearly a year separated, he missed them. suddenly he heard a cry from his hawk above, causing his head to lift as he glanced up for only a moment. Érebos's male hawk 'Bast' cried in excitement from seeing Foberos, Enyo's larger falcon companion. looking back down with an easy gaze, Érebos began to speak again. "there is much to catch up on. i know you all must be weary form travel, but let us rest only when we are in safer grounds. bears are abundant in these parts and packs surround us." he spoke with deep, baritone vocals. Then adding, "welcome to boreas." he left them no time to disagree and set forth ahead of them. intending that they follow his lead as he began to take them to insomnia. enforcing that they press on, no matter their tiresome states. the family needed immediate containment and protection from other packs and predators. finding them all so soon, he would not let them be without a home any longer. their journey would be only a day or two, given that they had very little stops. he had faith in their staminas-, even Enyo's.
zeph then saw Nikolaos appear. his eyes scanned over them, insuring they were all in one part. "Nik." he greeted his brother whilst turning to hear Kronos address them all. the advisor of the group. "Rest? Where? In the open like this, Kronos?" his voice was harsh, deep and guttural. but his question was sincere- seeking the guidance of Kronos.
but it's then a sudden bark interrupts their conversation-, a surge of irritation filling him in response to being spooked. more awareness next time, he'd think to himself. disciplining his mind as his dual toned pools pressed on the large frame of Érebos. he was older now, and looked different. a scene of scars over his lower chest could be seen. "Érebos. Pleasure to find you alive and well." he dipped his head in both greet and submission. their family code was strict and orderly. he left the rest for others to say as he watched the patriarch some more before heeding his lead.

Disaster
Atticus was alert always, never allowing himself time to breathe, after all it was new lands surrounding them all. It was all fresh and new. Glancing to his siblings eyes glinting. Ivory coat danced in the timeless breeze. "I did not mean for it to sound rude, but we are somewhere new brothers and sister. We can not afford fuck ups as we all know." His voice was calm and collected as he spoke, ears turning to face forwards. As head lowered spotting someone coming from a distance. His nose went to the air. Erebos. It had to be.
The brute soon came into view as his tail gave a wave of greeting. "I agree with Zephyros, Erebos. But now we can find some where to possibly get something in our stomachs and rest for a little" The group did need to rest as eyes looked to each and every one of them before following behind Zephyros and Erebos.

It was a weird feeling, having Zephyr to support her. While she was thankful to have such a loyal brother, she couldn't help but feel the sting in her pride that she needed him to enforce her will at times. For now, she would ignore it. There would be no changing her reality and so there would be no benefit to dwelling upon it further.
When asked about Foberos' endurance, she was partly surprised but did not show it. "There was no faster bird back home. Few as fierce as she. She will fly till she drops dead from exhaustion should I command her to." Although Enyo would never demand such a thing from her dear companion. Foberos was much like her, a deadly tool that was unfortunate enough to be born into such a family. She did not want to use her falcon the way they used her. Atticus would offer an explanation to which she would accept, "True." she would say in response.
"Family", Nik would come with his short greeting. She would nod her head in return as Zeph verbally acknowledged him. Shortly after, Kronos would speak. She also agreed, there was a feeling deep in her gut telling her the brute would be found but she did not agree with the concept of rest.
"We are not of weak cloth. We have endured worse brother. The sooner we find him the better for us, the better we feel, and the deeper we can rest. I cannot sleep till he is fo-" she cut her sentence off at the high-pierced cry of Foberos. Her eyes looked around, piercing the dark and her ear flicked towards the noise of crashing footsteps.
Turning to face the source of the noise, and bracing for a fight. Someone was charging at them and she would meet any threat stupid enough to attack them with calculated strikes. However, there would be no need to demonstrate her prowess for it would be the man himself.
"Brother," she would greet him. The brute had more energy than anyone else, offering easy gazes and excited affections. He was correct, they were weary but she would be less inclined than the others to let him know it. For she would be judged harsher and assumed weaker.
She allowed Zephyros and Erebros to have a brief exchange and then Atticus his comments as well before she spoke.
"Nike and father stayed home to maintain our empire. We were all sent here to aid and support the Dunamis cause in... Boreas." She gave herself a brief shake move any nerves in her, "I take it you have much to inform us upon. Let us go forward then, we have much to achieve."

It was then that the golden child appeared. The oldest. The leader of them all. Erebos. He dipped his head in greetings to his brother. A polite smile crossing his maw that didn't quite reach his eyes. It would be a lie to admit that he was Jealous of his brother. Jealous of the praise, adoration and respect he received simply for being born first. He of course felt that he deserved the respect and adoration that Erebos recieved, after all he was much better than his brother.
He did his best not to let his jealous thoughts pollute his body language but his ears twitched irritably at his brother's words. He hoped that the rest of his family took that as a sign of his exhaustion and not irritation at his brother. Without saying anything he simply followed his siblings out of the area. His mind in his own thoughts.

He was growing a little impatient. As they talked among themselves, he looked up to the night sky, noting the constellations and the other stars that burned brightly overheard. The breeze gently caressed the leaves on the trees that surrounded him, the rush of the water a dull sound in the background as his focus shifted to the trees nearest to him. A few steps toward them, and he peered into their shadows when he thought he heard movement. Narrowing his glacial gaze, he didn't immediately see anything at first. But then startled when an owl came flying out in silence, making its way across the river to land within the confines of another tree. Well, it didn't seem like he'd be around here. Though perhaps they could take shelter within the safety of the trees tonight, assuming they agreed. But it also seemed they wouldn't have to vote on that anyway.
It seemed his words were met with equal parts from the sibling crew, but in the end, rest would appear to elude them for the night. Perhaps even for the next couple of days. He glanced at Zeph who questioned him, to which Kronos slightly rolled his eyes as he looked away. "Obviously we'd find a spot more suitable or take turns keeping watch," Tsk tsk, he figured his brother would know him better than to suggest something that would put them all in blind danger. But before anything else, a sudden rise of a certain scent in the air would betray the presence of the one they had come looking for. "Well well, I stand corrected for once." He murmured to himself as Erebos approached them. At last! Their search was over, thank the Gods! His paws ached and his belly rumbled with hunger, but even so, he would not be the one to complain. If rest needed to wait, then he would oblige. No doubt he'd sleep for a day or so now that this goose chase was over with. Rising to his feet, he nodded to Erebos and followed him to wherever it was they were to call home, however temporary it might be.
