It would take some time to get used to her new home. Seraphine would sigh as she moved down the small river, deciding she would remain on the mainland for a bit till she completely moved and stayed on the island that would be her new home, again. Large paws would carry he scarred female away from the water, moving towards the willows that swayed in the wind. She would stop, nose nearly touching the hanging wall of branches. Slowly she would take in a long and deep breath, eyes closed, ears listening to the world around her. It wasn't often one could relax when their pack had finished with a war, he enemy threat still very strong.

Or so hideous

He had been watching her for some time, surprised to find another wolf almost as marred as he was. What could have weathered the girl so much? Unless it was the same force that had eroded him. He decided he was sick of the curiousity. Sick of waiting for answers to come to him instead of seeking them out himself. Slowly, he emerged from hiding and approached her calmly. "May I ask, my kindred spirit." He said softly. "What is it that has torn you so?" He stood behind her, a ghoulish figure shrouded in the shade of a tree. He had no desire to show his hideous form if he could avoid it. Something seemed to be troubling her. But all things in due time. First and foremost he wanted to hear about her scars.

The wind had been coming head on for the girl, bringing in the fresh scents of the wiillows into her nose. As it made its way in and our of the trees it created a sort of whistling sound, harsh yet sweet at the same time, in a way comforting. Even with this though it would not mask the sound of footsteps behind her, stopping just behind Seraphine, a soft voice speaking ina tone that told her this male would not attack. Right ear would swivel to the side to catch his voice, asking what has torn her. Slowly eyes would open, but rather than turn around to face the strange she would remain facing the willow tree.

Not many asked what tore her in a way to ask what was bothering her, the girl mostly kept to herself and barely went out of her way to speak to others, so she doubted this stranger was asking what was bothering her. It had to be about the scars that littered the left side of her body, her missing tail and left ear.

"Heat... flames that could make you cry." Though she would answer simply, her tone held a small hint of pain. The flames had engulfed the girl's home as a pup, destroying everything it touched, suffocating those it couldn't reach. She watched as small animals literally burned to death, a deer trapped from its antlers, fall over from the air. "A horrible fire swept through my home as a child, morphing my body into what it is now." She would add.

Now she was growing curious, wondering if she should turn around and face the man or just wait for him to walk around and put himself in her view. Usually those who remained out of sight had a reason, they were sneaking up and would attack you, which it seemed like this male wasn't doing. Something was wrong, physically and was shy about their appearance. Or... Seraphine would stop herself there, paws crossing over the other, body turning around, blue and golden eyes falling upon the stranger.

Or so hideous

Flames. A kindred spirit indeed. But would they make him cry? He doubted such a thing, having braced the fire himself not too long ago. Still. To face such horrors as a pup must have been distressing. "I do doubt that they would make me shed tears. Although, I cannot imagine seeing such ravage through the eyes of a pup. I was fully matured when the embers came for me. Matured, and no stranger to the horrors of life." He said quietly. "Although...That's all the better to remember it." The pain of the fire still coursed through his veins, seared into his memory, and corrupting his mind. Introductions were not his strong suit. Formalities constantly put aside for personal thoughts. She was no exception. Yes, she was burned, yes he had no doubt she felt pain. But a torn ear and missing tail was hardly a loss compared t his missing eye, ear and leg. Talking hurt him. His voice was raspy and unappealing to the ears, his eyes closed in pain at the slightest movement, and yet none of this compared to the loss of his mate. And yet, he felt relieved. If his cousin and lover had seen him in such a state she would be horrified. Now he wondered, if she would feel the same way. He stepped from the shadows, revealing his horrifying visage, head low to the ground as he waited for a terrified gasp.

His thought on it, he doubted he would shed tears over such a thing. He sounded older, and so she would understand why he would not have cried, adults could handle things better, but as a pup... it was the most terrifying thing she could have experienced. He would go on about how he was matured when embers came upon him, no stranger to the horrors of life.

She she turned around the man stepped forth from the darkness, and it was then that she finally go to see the figure. How silly she was to think she had it bad from the fire, the moment her eyes lay on his flesh she could see he knew very well the horrors. Just about the whole left side of the man was flesh, fur missing along with a limb and ear. Though she was looking over his body, the look in her eyes, on her face, held no disgust or fear. What she looked upon him with was something like understanding... connection?

A light sigh escaped her lips as her gaze finally met his, what a horrible thing he must have gone through to be morphed so drastically. "Embers... if you do not mind me asking sir, but what was it that changed your form? A fire as well?" It hurt a bit to ask, the way his voice sounded, harsh, probably permanently damaged from what scarred him so deeply. Others probably looked at him in fear, unsure how to deal with such a being. Did they run, make an excuse to leave, did they possibly try running him off? So many questions.
