little less Jekyll, little bit more of Hyde

Grief was a fickle creature, one that the aurora-draped goliath had no time or patience to quash. Instead, he was warping his incurable sorrow into something new and terrible. He was gritting his teeth against the pain and melding this burrowing agony into wrath. As his undercoat was shedding out, leaving a trail of violet and emerald tufts in his wake, it was becoming easier to venture into warmer regions. So there were new places to explore, and new victims for his burgeoning ire. The massive brute strode through the plains, gilded eyes sweeping over the strange amalgam of rusted out structures that littered the landscape. Perhaps there would be something sharp laying among the wreckage, something he could wield on his new vendetta against the world. Lumbering aimlessly from one wreck to another, and occasionally busying himself with digging out a particularly interesting piece of scrap, his emotions settled. The distraction was enough to keep him from the worst of his volatility, though his tail still flicked ominously against his heels. Claws raked through the dirt as he unearthed the crumbling remains of tank treads, squinting down at the odd interlocking structures that had once propelled the metal husk across the ground. Completely engrossed in the mechanism, to be quite honest. |
