The rose maiden stood at the edge of the Boneyard once again, her keen pink eyes scanning the desolate yet familiar landscape. The skeletal remains of long-forgotten battles lay scattered around her, a grim testament to the countless that had come before her here. Her heart raced. Would today be her demise? She had gotten lucky so far with honorable opponents. The air was thick with tension, and a chilling autumn wind swept through the field and rustled her mantle.

She tightened her grip on the soil beneath her paws, ready for the next challenger to emerge from the shadows. Two barred owls circled above her, their wings quiet on the wind. Her heart raced with a mix of anticipation and bloodlust. The silence was deafening, but Ellara's resolve was unshakable. On her flank and her shoulder were bright pink scars barely healed, yet still she stood strong and ready to fight.

Every movement, every whisper of the wind, she was attuned to it all. She knew that any moment, a new opponent would step forward seeking to claim power for themselves here in this Boneyard. Ellara took a deep breath, her eyes narrowing as she prepared for the inevitable clash that would come. This place would test her, but she was ready.

"Ellara"

Reaper had been here a handful of times before. He had sparred here. The land of bones and past battles seemed to have a way and drawing in the most battle ready opponents. Moloch flew above in the sky, low enough to keep an eye on the Bloodjaw. When Reaper traveled deeper into the land, he spotted a familiar sight in the distance. It was Ellara. The woman who had helped him slay a bear. He called out to her with a howl, a friendly howl, just alerting her of his presence. He would then approach her. Once he was in sight of her and close enough for her to hear him, he would greet her. "Hello Ellara! It is me Reaper. Fancy seeing you here amongst all these bones." He had to admit, he wanted to steal some of the bones here. They were of so tempting. Moloch flew down from the sky and perched upon the Bloodjaw's shoulders, watching the female wolf carefully. "Would you like a spar?" Reaper finally asked the woman, tilting his white head curiously.

Her ears perked up at the sound of a familiar voice howling through the desolate boneyard. She turned to see Reaper approaching, his white fur a stark contrast to the grim landscape they found themselves in. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as Moloch swooped down to rest on his shoulder. It was nice to see them again.

"Hello again, Reaper, Moloch," she greeted them, her voice carrying through the stillness that surrounded them. "It has been awhile, I did not expect to see you among these dead bones but perhaps I should have." She chuckled lightly, tilting her head as she eyed the bones across the ground and sensed Reaper's interest. "They do hold a certain allure, don't they?"

As he mentioned a spar, her pink eyes lit up with anticipation and excitement. She nodded her head, her stance shifting into readiness as she set her defenses. Head low, aligned with her spine and tail - eyes narrowed, knees bent, chin tucked, hackles slowly ruffling to a stand.

"Let's see what you got, Reaper. We'll give these old bones a new show," she flashed him a friendly grin with those words.

Ellara's muscles then tensed as she locked eyes with Reaper, a playful glint in her gaze. Without warning, she lunged forward, her movements swift and fluid. She closed the distance between them in almost an instant, her claws slicing through the soil and then the air as she used her left forelimb to strike at his right, upper-shoulder. The Boneyard seemed to come alive around them, bones crunching underfoot as she pressed her attack.

"Ellara"

Reaper listened to Ellara intently. While he was listening, he was positioning himself into a defensive stance. His stance widened slightly, his chin tucked to protect precious vitals. His tail rose along his spine for better balance. His claws dug into the dry earth. He was ready. And just in time, too, Ellara wanted to put on a show for the dead. Reaper flashed her a ready grin. "I'm ready when you are!" He called to her.

It wasn't long after that Ellara had charged him. With her forearms posed and trying to strike his right shoulder. Reaper would brace himself for impact. Feeling her claws and paw clash into his shoulder. He gritted his fangs together as he felt the impact upon his skin. He let out a daring snarl and pushed himself forwards with his back feet. His maws splayed open and he attempted to latch them up on Ellara's left shoulder, right where it connected near the neck.

She felt the impact of Reaper's jaws as soon as they clamped down on her left shoulder. Pain flared, but she welcomed it - it fueled her, sharpening her focus. With a grunt, she twisted her body, using the momentum to try and break free from his grip. Her muscles strained as she pushed against him, feeling the raw strength in Reaper's hold. But Ellara wasn't one to back down easily.

As she freed herself from his grasp, she dropped low, using her long hind legs to propel herself into a swift, sweeping strike aimed at Reaper's own legs. Her intent was clear - to knock him off balance and regain the upper hand. The boneyard echoed with the sounds of their fierce struggle, bones crunching beneath them as they battled.

Reaper felt his maws clamp down tightly on the shoulder muscle of Ellara. However, the grip was short lived as he felt the female move within his grasp and cause his grip to relinquish. His maws clamped shut with nothing in them but air and he pulled his head back. Reaper saw Ellara coming for his legs and he braced himself for the impact. He rolled with her. From his side to his back back into his side until he was back on his feet.

Reaper charged forwards one last time and opened his maws to sink onto the scruff of Ellara. He was attempting to grab the area with a firm but bloodless grip once more. He hoped he was victorious, but he was humble enough to accept whatever outcome was given to him.
