Just want somebody to love
the cure

Leaving Vesper to sleep off her drug induced chaos, Oleander toted large jugs of tea on either side of his neck. The cure for the hallucinations, and the support to help the patients rest. He took the tea to his father first.
He knocked on the den door that he had set up for him since his trip in the Col. Seeing his father like that… he hoped it was Hikaru who would answer the door. When this was all over Ollie wanted to sleep for a year.
“Hey, it’s me, I have some tea that should make it better finally.” He said, leaning his forehead on the door.

Thankfully Hikaru never exhibited signs of illness, he was able to stay with Mortis and look after him as he ailed. He prayed every moment that a cure would be found, he worried endlessly as he watched his love suffer. He was with Mortis now, the winged man was sleeping thankfully. He couldn’t say it was peaceful though. He was worrying over him when there was a knock just outside. Kohl lined ears perked at the sound of Oleander’s voice.
With those simple words Hikaru felt the world lift off his shoulders. He shuddered a great sigh of relief and let the young boy inside. "Yes. I mean.. Please come in.” Hikaru tidied up a little and offered the boy a seat.
"Hikaru"

As Hikaru came to the door Ollie gave his father's partner a weak smile. He slowly ambled through the doorway and sat at the seat proffered. He noted his father's sleeping form and his deep weary viridian eyes clung to the fragile image. Mortis had been hit exceptionally hard by the hallucinations. He had not even recognized those he loved most. He was glad Wylan hadn't witnessed it. Hopefully.
He was silent for several beats, watching the rise and fall of his father's side. Ollie was trying to hold onto every fragile fragment within him. With a shuddering breath, realizing he had gotten lost, he finally turned back to Hikaru. Sliding the string off his shoulders that held the tea.
"If you're not experiencing any symptoms, then be sure not to drink this yourself. It especially counteracts the hallucinations of the blight. But it can induce them in others who aren't sick." He grabbed a clean cup from a corner and poured a healthy serving into it.
"See if you can get him to drink it when he wakes... It should... bring him back." Oleander stared at the tea in the cup. Lost again for a moment.
He looked back up to the koi male. The flash of pale fur must have inspired Mortis's affection for Halo.
"Thank you, Hikaru." He said, finally gathering his gaze up to look into the older man's pale silver eyes. "I don't know if he'd be here still if you weren't."
