How Does This Make You Feel?

The foreign woman had been at the bottom of the pit for some time now. Scylla had been using her to test out various drugs. Sedatives, hallucinogens... She'd even shot the fae in the ass with a blow dart for funsies. Today, she was testing out something a little different.
Scylla had crafted what she believed to be a bit of a truth serum. Into a bottle of alcohol, the slate and cream fae had soaked various hallucinogens such as mushrooms and cannabis. She'd lowered the bottle down in a little basket with some food at least an hour ago. Couldn't let her prisoner starve to death, now could she?
After she believed the substance had time to work its magic, Scylla made her way back to the pit, sprawling out on her svelte belly at the top and allowing her head to hang down over the side along with one paw. "Hello down there, lovely. How are you feeling?"

Days blurred into weeks and not much had changed. Still stuck in a hole, after trespassing on a pack she knew nothing about. In retrospect she wished she hadn't but Kaija wasn't the type to live with regrets. Shit happened, and the fact that she hadn't been killed yet meant there was some way out of the mess. Maybe.
Nothing that she could do on her own though. She'd tried to climb her way out, but even with a running start she couldn't quite make it. Annoying, but she hadn't stopped trying. At least it gave her something to do in this place - jump at the wall half the time, and plot her escape the other.
Though the substances Scylla had been feeding her gave her another break from those two activities. From everything, really. A lot of them made her mind seem to stray somewhere else for quite some time and having any real grasp on those hours felt difficult. Sneering up at her captor, she ingested what had been fed to her. It was obvious to her now that she wasn't trying to kill her, though she knew accidents could happen... not like she had a lot of other options, though.
It wasn't long before she started to feel unsteady on her paws. Lying down against the wall of the pit she'd been trapped in, she closed her eyes and tried to will away the dizziness. It, of course, didn't work and she still felt the world spinning when she heard Scylla return and ask her a question. "Feeling just fine," she lied. "Great, even. Better than ever. You should try some," Kaija taunted her, flashing a slight grin.

Scylla chuckled softly at the prisoners words, her laughter dancing its way down the deep shaft. "Perhaps I will. Once I see how it affects you, anyway." The small fae gave a languid stretch, her mismatched gaze roaming over the larger, trapped wolf.
"What pack do you come from?" She asked, striking up a bit of conversation to get the woman into the speaking mood. "The one that raided us?" Scylla clicked her tongue, giving her head a shake. "They won the raid but they didn't care enough to find you. Pity, eh?" No one had come for the stranded woman thus far.
"What do you think I'm going to do with you?" the Sovereign asked. "Use your imagination." She was toying with the tusked fae, but who would expect anything less from Scylla. It wasn't her intent to kill the woman in the pit. In fact, she planned something quite different.

Scylla's laughter was grating on her ears, though Kaija mostly seemed unaffected by it as she leaned against the side of the pit and stared back up at her. "You really should," Kaija taunted, though the tusked woman knew there wasn't a change in hell the other woman would try the same concoction without seeing how it affected her first. And maybe not even then.
Her expression shifted then, just for a moment, into a sneer. She had no interest in divulging information to this woman, though not because she wanted to protect the pack she'd been stolen from. Already the drugs were beginning to work though, and she found herself speaking before she had any sense to hold back. "Raiders gonna raid," Kaija chortled back. "I wouldn't come looking for me either, to be fair."
Did it hurt her feelings? Nah, not really. But her problems were a whole lot bigger than hurt feelings at this point. No need to dwell on the petty shit when her life was hanging in the balance.
Hanging... her thoughts wandered, colorful imagery of glowing worms entering her mind's eye. One of the last little trips she'd taken before her trip here, actually, was to a cave where she'd encountered hundreds upon thousands of glowing worms, draped across slick stone walls like some kind of intricate work of art.
"Feed me to the worms, probably," Kaija jested, her mood seeming to lift. A soft echo of laughter followed as she considered the possibility of her rotting down here, alone, turning into worm food. It really was quite funny, the more she thought about it. Had her life's purpose been fulfilled so soon? "Can't imagine what else I'd be good for." She wasn't a good slave- didn't have the temperament for it. Wasn't like she'd do someone's bidding just because they threatened her, let alone being asked nicely. "Or maybe I'd make a nice bit of wall art for your den." Her pelt, strung out and dried- her tusked head, mounted just above where she slept. Kaija laughed some more at the thought, genuinely tickled. The world was swaying a bit harder now, though the feeling was rhythmic and she leaned into it, briefly letting her eyes close.

Raiders, the holed woman confirmed. Scylla wondered if they'd ever come looking for their lost lamb, or if she would be a permanent addition to Obscura's prisoners. The Sovereign had no issue with keeping the tusked fae. There would be no end to her concoctions, so she would always be in need of a lab rat.
When asked what she thought would be done to her, the woman made a reply about worms. Scylla chuckled again. "What use have I for worms?" She gave her head a slight tilt in the opposite direction. "Displaying wolves for all to see is kind of tacky, in my opinion." She knew that some did it to make a point, but that wasn't her style. "I could turn you into a beautiful monstrosity though and set you out to guard the border." Just to tease the captured fae.
The drugs seemed to be taking hold and the woman in the hole laughed. Scylla smiled from her perch up top. "You have a lovely laugh," she complemented. "Pity you're down in a hole." Scylla rolled onto her side, head and paws hanging over the edge. "Would you like me to contact your pack for you? See if they want you back?"

It was hard to not think of the worm tapestry as she spoke. Their blue-green glow ebbed softly at the edges of her vision as she blinked up at Scylla, looking a bit dazed. Relaxed, even, maybe for the first time in awhile. "I dunno, they can be awfully pretty," she answered earnestly, in response to Scylla's question.
So she wasn't just drugging her up to slay her and mount her on the wall of her den. That was good. Wouldn't have made a lot of sense, anyway, or she would've killed her sooner. At least that made the most sense to her.
Her next comment seemed lost on Kaija, if she heard it at all.
Again she giggled. "Your laugh ain't so bad either. Quite nice, really," Kaija drawled. And she sort of meant it- which probably said a lot about how painfully lonely she'd gotten stuck here, with nothing to do and no one to talk to but Scylla. Being talked to at all was better than the alternative, not that she was keen to let Scylla know she truly felt that way. "You could. Ask for a lady named Wenna, I'd like to know if she's thinking about me," she jested, he mind moving in another direction. She cracked a grin at the thought of someone maybe missing her a little tiny bit. Pathetic, really, how the thought uplifted her.

Kaija's words brought a genuine little smile to Scylla's face and the Sovereign sighed. Well, she couldn't keep her down there now. They'd shared a little moment. Kaija wondering if someone had been thinking of her... it made her real, in a sense. Sharing her hopes... What a softie.
A moment later Scylla disappeared from the mouth of the pit and it may have looked as though she was just leaving, her experiment finished. Soon a chunk of wood would appear over the edge and would slowly slide down into the pit. Scylla was careful of where Kaija lay so that she wouldn't get squished. "Come on," she bid her prisoner. "Up the ladder."
Surely some would think the Klein woman mad for releasing a wolf that she'd blatantly experimented on, but Scylla was just like that. She did her own thing, the opinions of others be damned. The small fae waited at the top of the ladder for Kaija to climb up, then, once the tusked woman was on solid ground, Scylla shook a little stone crock at her. She then tipped the crock to her lips and took a sip, putting the same fuzzy sedative in her own system that Kaija had been subjected to. "Let's go get a drink, shall we?"
One nimble paw rose and motioned for Kaija to proceed her out of the pit den.

As she spoke, her mind drifted elsewhere, daydreaming about the words that left her mouth. Scylla smiled, and then moved away. Kaija didn't pay much mind to it, choosing to let her eyes drift closed for a moment. Lingering somewhere between consciousness and sleep, she startled a bit when Scylla returned and lowered a ladder down, encouraging her up.
Like father like daughter, somehow Kaija narrowly avoided further imprisonment. Not that she was the least bit cognizant of what was really going on right now. She wouldn't question it, moving on unsteady paws up the slab of wood until she was on solid ground once again. Free.
It didn't really register to her that she ought to be celebrating though. A grin touched her lips as Scylla drank down the same concoction she'd given her - for the first time in awhile, a real expression of happiness, genuine despite how intoxicated she felt. "Cheers," she said, moving a few wobbly steps away before sinking to the ground. Maybe a more sober wolf might run for the hills now that she was free, but doing anything but running sounded great.
"Do you have anyone who'd come looking for you? If you were trapped in a pit?" Kaija asked after a beet, bleary eyes fixing on Scylla. She clearly didn't, not really, not the way she wished she did.

Kaija came up from the hole, moved a few steps forward then collapsed onto the ground with a chuckle. Having had an empty stomach, the drugs that Scylla had ingested began to work more quickly than they may have had she eaten beforehand. A nice, tingly sensation was beginning to take hold and Scylla felt a smile settle on her face. She was in a good mood. It didn't even matter to her that she was letting her prisoner free.
Moving forward, Scylla slid down to lay on her belly as well. She sent her bushdog off for some wine and the little creature scooted off through the falls. Kaija began to speak, asking if Scylla had anyone that would come for her. A soft snort was released and the smaller woman gave a shrug. "I have two brothers that would notice but it might take them a while to do so." The fae's long tail swished on the ground and she chuckled. "I don't rely on anyone aside from myself though. If I can't get myself out of a situation, then I don't deserve for anyone else to rescue me."
"I'm sorry that no one came to look for you," the cobalt woman spoke softly, then shrugged. "At least you're free now to do as you wish. Go back and rip them a new asshole." The bush dog returned with a few skeins of wine across his shoulders. Scylla gave one to Kaija, took one for herself, then placed the other two between them. She then took a long swig, licking her lips before casting her gaze back towards the tusked woman. "Or you can stay. Your choice."

The world was spinning delightfully all around her. The movement was strangely soothing, even as she stumbled clumsily out of the pit, grasping for solid ground. Even when she found it and sunk down she found her toes trying to grip into the dirt, like she mind stumble completely off the ground if she didn't try to hang on to it.
"Kinda sucks, doesn't it?" She drawled, her voice as unsteady as she felt. "Not that I want anyone to come lookin' for me or trying to get me out of the messes I end up in, but it'd be nice to know someone cares enough to, y'know? Kaija wasn't sure she made sense at all but the worlds spilled out of her before she could think twice about them. Not that she was even cognizant enough to do that, even if she tried.
"It's fine. Fuck 'em. Don't know where I'll even go next though," Kaija rambled on. Going back to the Raiders now didn't make her feel warm and fuzzy inside. Neither did staying here, at least not permanently. But temporarily, maybe. She was glad to take another sip of the offered drink, happy to keep building on this blissful feeling. "Maybe at least for the night," she stated, though it was more a question than anything. Not like she could make it far in this state, anyway. Moving sightly to try to stand, she sunk right back down, muzzle sliding down near Scylla's shoulder as she lost her balance.
