Me But Not Me
Following the raid, Siduri hadn't quite been herself. Granted, she hadn't quite been herself for seasons, but she felt it all the same. The steady ticking within her skull was driving her mad, like some great metronome that banged back and forth in her mind. It was loud, drowning out the rest of the world around her until all sound was tick, tick, tick, tick.
Siduri tried to hold on, reminding herself that, whatever was happening to her, it would pass. She always came back, right? It was horrible to lose herself in the first place, but she always came back. The pastel fae paced back and forth in front of her tree house, spin, walk, spin, walk, like some caged tiger. Moving gave her something to do. Sitting still would have just made her go mad more quickly.
The fae's long, snow while tail lashed back and forth with each turn, the light spattering down through the foliage casting mottled sun spots upon her pastel patched coat. Swirled eyes were hard and were mostly fixed upon the ground before her, though thought would dart this way and that as though staring at invisible beings. Where was Sakana? Where was her father?
Of course someone would approach her in this state, because why wouldn't they? Where was Gil? Where was Sakana? Where was Gil? Where was Sakana? Hell, where was Modesty? Anyone that could run interference, keep Siduri from losing her mind.
The cheery voice spoke around a mouthful of flowers. Any other time, the gesture might be amusing, but today it was not. Nothing was amusing. Siduri's mind felt so thin. A paper thin veil between her own conscious and oblivion. Who knew what she would do when that veil blew away on the wind?
"Go away," the pastel fae growled, mismatched eyes flashing. Couldn't she see what kind of state Sid was in? The young wolf continued her pacing, though she altered her course, moving to pace behind the thick tree trunk instead of out in the open like she had been prior.
One might see red at their warning being ignored, but Siduri didn't see red. She saw black. The young woman ceased to be as the other fae invaded her space, reaching out as though to touch her. One moment Siduri was there, fighting internally with herself. The next, she was no more. Woe be to Morwenna...
Claws sank into the moist earth below and the pastel wolf vaulted forward. Jaws opened wide and, with a guttural snarl, she sank her teeth into the extended leg of the other fae. Siduri- or not Siduri- applied all of the pressure that she held within her jaws to hold on tight and clamp down. Blood flowed into her maw, incensing Siduri more. Planting her paws, she shook her head back and forth until the tension in the leg gave way. She could feel the snap between her teeth and soon the leg sticking out on the opposite side of her mouth was flopping about like a fish.
With the limb snapped, the killer in her said that it was time for another attack. Releasing the limb, the pastel wolf, her maw stained with Morwenna's blood, did a circle and prepared to lunge once more. There would be no end until her enemy was permanently dispatched.

Sakana was on the hunt for Siduri. He enjoyed her company and was hoping she would accompany him out to fern gulley to try and rustle up some supplies in this godawful heat. Maybe they could even slip down to Obsidian Beach for old times sake?
The sound of a scuffle ahead had his steps increasing. It didn't sound like the harmless tussling of pups practicing their moves, there was intent in those movements.
He arrived on scene in time to see Morwenna try to flee, her leg falling beneath her uselessly. It made his stomach turn to see the angle her leg was held at, but of more concern was the glazed-over look on Siduri's face. He moved to shoulder his way between the women, of a larger stature than Morwenna, he was better equipped to handle the onslaught that was coming her way. "Hey, hey now, Sid...?" He hoped the smaller woman would take the chance to get some distance between them. "Y'in there?"
"speech"
Blood, bones and battle. That was all that mattered to the wraith that inhabited Siduri's mind. Rend, tear, eviscerate, decapitate. Kill. Kill. Kill. The screams of pain echoed within her brain basket like howling into a cavern. Her consciousness rattled about like shaking bones but she still couldn't bring her true self to the forefront.
Teeth were imbedded in flesh and that was what the demon within her wanted. It wanted to feel the tear of hot, living flesh beneath the power of its jaws. Those teeth sank into Morwenna's neck and shoulder, but a moment later a larger form worked its way between them, ripping Sid's teeth from the flesh of her prey. White hot fury lit through the pastel marked fae like a strike of lightning and she turned on the intruder.
There was no recognition in Siduri's odd eyes and she stalked towards the brute, ready to make him pay for what he'd done. Zero recognition... until a voice called out to her. Sid? She was Sid. The static within her mind slowly began to fall away and the pallid fae gave her clouded mind a shake. "Sakana..." she murmured, her speech slurred as though she'd ingested the entire barrel of Kenways alcohol. Her head hurt and she could feel the thud of her own heart within her eyeballs. That was when she saw Morwenna.
The woman was bleeding, her leg snapped and hanging uselessly as she tried to get away. Fuck. Fuck fuck FUCK. Teeth clenched hard together and she tasted the woman's blood on her tongue. "Sakana, help her," Siduri begged, and then... just like she'd done when she attacked Jael, she turned and fled.
