She watched as they came down the mountainside. The fights breaking out around her. She was uncertain how to proceed, but she wasn't going to bow out. She was alert as one by one, her siblings got tangled in a fight with a Hemlock wolf, and soon enough, it was her turn. A brown wolf roughly her size came charging down the mountainside right toward her, his body low as he aimed for the Dragon girl. She didn't move quick enough, reacting enough to where she raised herself up as well and the pair caught each other in a grappling hug. She hissed with the motion, her talons looking to grip into her opponents scruff as she sought to throw him sideways. She lunged then, teeth seeking the side of his neck to try and further help her unbalance him. They weren't left waiting for long before someone zeroed in on them, giving an audible warning before they struck. Seiko was glad for the warning, though they'd been scanning the horizon for potential opponents anyway, not wanting to led their guard down. It was hard to not get a little distracted by the fights beginning to break out around them, though they were intent on putting all their efforts into the fight that was heading their way.

Seiko instinctively stiffened, not enough so that they'd topple over when their opponent first collided with them but enough to hopefully hold their ground. They didn't spend long observing their opponent - she had black and white fur, and were those horns like Seiko's? - before she struck.

Instead of facing Seiko head on, Maki twisted at the last second, kicking her back legs right out at her. Her paws struck Seiko hard in the chest, causing them to stumble backwards and readjust their balance. Without wasting any time Seiko lunged forward, a friendly enough growl falling from their lips as they aimed parted jaws at the side of one of Maki's legs, hoping to bring her down to the ground.

Herajika, who had accompanied Seiko to the raid, took a moment longer to react. The small housecat sprung forward and aimed unsheathed claws at Maki's side, hoping to distract her.

He watched Brida charge down the hill at her opponent, and both she and her opponent went rolling down the hill. He couldn't help but laugh as he watched, and he knew Brida would say something later, but right now, he couldn't help himself. He watched as the others engaged, brows furrowing when he realized Hemlock seemed...short on numbers for this. Where was Delphi? Or the other fighters for that matter? He knew he had been gone for a while, but surely the pack still had a number of fighters, no? Sighing, he realized then he may have to actually engage himself. Granted, he doubted it would alter the chances of Hemlock winning, but still. His attention briefly returned to Brida, tsking when he saw her disengage from her opponent. She hadn't won...again. Seriously, why did she have such bad luck!?

Oh well, they'd just have to train even harder, he supposed. Turning his sights on the closest target, he frowned yet again when he noticed every opponent on the field was bigger than him. While he was used to it by now, he wished at least once, there was someone his own size to fight. But alas! It couldn't be helped now! Picking up his paws, he charged forth with a battle cry toward the closest Koi wolf, a grin on his face as he sought to charge right on in and use his body and momentum to take out his opponents legs.

Like her opponent, this didn't pan out at all like the way she had hoped. She was dizzy. Disoriented. Embarrassed...and as she lunged for him, he managed to kick her square in the nose which made her recoil as her eyes watered up a storm. She fell back on her haunches, head still reeling from her tumble down the hill, and now made worse from the kick. Growling, she stumbled to her paws, submitting her defeat to the koi wolf as she staggered out and away to lick her wounds and tend to her wounded pride. Was she even cut out to be a warrior? If she was, she was feeling like a pretty bad one... -exit- "Common Tongue"||"Dwarvish (ancient tongue)"

Watoosh! Her kick connected and Maki let out a whoop of triumph, only to feel a set of jaws grab a hold of her ankle and yank down. Her gaze darted to the side, thoroughly distracted by the cute kitty and oop- she was falling. Like a salmon flopping on dry land after being dropped a short distance. Inelegant and not very effective, Maki flailed on the floor, arched up with a groan as she tried to grab at the soft, tufty fur of their cheek. Not exactly where she ought to be aiming, but man she didn't have very strong muscles, least of all the ones that would allow her to sit/reach up without much effort at all. Could wolves do sit ups? Forward crunches? She clearly needed to.

One by one the yearlings gathered and soon her call was answered, not by Delphi but a man she dimly recognized from a bear fight. He engaged Keito and se watched for a moment before more Hemlock wolves appeared and the battles began to break out one by one. The young Tojo wolves were doing well, even if not all their fights resulted in victory. They'd be able to take lessons learned from here and work on them when they returned to the bamboo in preparation for the next raid.

Soon though, it was time for her own fight. She turned her head as a glint of light caught her attention in time to see a large male barreling down on her. She grinned, large ears pinning to her head and tail tucking. She kicked off hard, shifting to her right and lunging forward sharply she sought to slip past the man's left side. Her movement displaced his attack and she twisted her head in seeking to slash her fangs across his left thigh in a slashing blow rather than a grabbing one.

This girl just got weirder the closer he got to her. As talons grappled at his neck, he really had to wonder just what was wrong with the water on Auster that had them all looking so strange? Never mind, he didn't have a problem if they ended up rolling around on the ground.

His donkeys circled them as they grappled, keeping other contenders at bay while also throwing nips of their own. It was chaotic and he was loving every minute of it. He wondered if his opponent was having as good of a time as he was? When she reached for his neck, he yielded the grab, and went for her opposing shoulder. He wasn't sure how long they could balance like this, but he wasn't going to back down if she didn't.

Majima almost thought he was going to make it, somehow he'd make his way into the heart of the packlands and find their prize. Their raid target seemed outnumbered, at least a bit, though Majima certainly didn't assume simply eyeballing the force that came to meet them was accurate. Admittedly because he was scanning quickly Majima didn't see the small male barrelling towards him. It was the cat that did, a warning hiss the only heads-up Majima got, which mostly resulted in him startling which led to him sidestepping slightly, though not totally out of the path of the oncoming opponent. His right limbs taken out from under him Majima pitched to the side, a look of surprise on his face for a moment before he tried to catch himself. He was only half successful with his hind leg managing to hit the ground but his right shoulder blade slamming into the ground as he hadn't gotten his right forepaw under himself quickly enough. Majima's head snapped in the direction of the wolf that had bowled into him, his horns slashing out in that general direction as he struggled back to standing, more trying to keep his opponent off of him than to do any damage. Though the small ginger tabby launching itself off his back and hopefully onto the small wolf probably meant to do a little harm, those claws weren't just for show. The pair grappled each other, a wrestling match that neither wanted to back off from. All around her she could hear the clashing of others in their own fights, but she was focused on hers. She was certainly getting irritated by the donkeys that circled them, their nipping incessant. Like flies that wouldn't leave her alone. Her cat would do its best to try and swat them away, but there was only so much it could do against two donkeys. She managed to reach his neck, and she put on the pressure by biting harder, and in turn, he got her shoulder. She snarled and growled with the new pain, but she refused to give up her hold. To put on further pressure, she shoved further against the male, looking to shove him back and unbalance him, hopefully throwing him onto his back, even at the risk of worsening her own wound.

Aha! Success! He flashed a grin as he managed to bowl the boy over, feeling him fall to the ground as his bowling attack hit its mark. Though his approach was slowed now that there was a body on the ground, it wouldn't stop Gimli from his assault. He felt the poke of horns on his rump, earning a snarl as the dwarf male turned around. The boy was trying to get back to his feet, but Gimli would do his best to keep him on the ground. He sought to leap atop the boy, to use his heavy weight to pin him to the ground and make it that much harder for his opponent to find his feet, while his teeth sought the yearlings scruff. If he was gonna get up, he'd have a heavy weight dragging him back down! His throat rumbled then with another growl as he felt the weight of a cat upon him, but it wasn't his cat. He felt claws on his back, but luckily his thicker fur kept him from the worst of it right before his own larger cat barreled in, launching himself at his opponents cat in a bid to knock him off of Gimli and go at it in a whirlwind of fur and claws. Astraios leaped into the fray, zeroing in on his chosen opponent. He found his first attack foiled, and annoyed the frustration that brought. He knew he needed to give a good showing in Delphi’s absence. Put on a strong front, despite their leader's absence. He was more than a little grumpy about the timing, too. But a grumpy Strai was no new thing.

As she moved down his side, he turned, attempting to catch her side on his (often unexpected) cheek spurs on her way past. At the same time, he reached out a paw, trying to grab or trip her before she could flee too far past his reach.

Takeji tried to keep his nerves in check. Or rather, he tried to shove them down into a tiny box and ignore them and pretended that was the same thing. His siblings surrounding him gave the young male a sense of pride and purpose, and a cripplingly intense desire to not fuck this up. No pressure though, right?.. Yeah. The journey was long but upon their arrival things started to happen very quickly. The Hemlock wolves showed up in smaller numbers than he had feared, but didn't do anything to allay his concerns. Surely it couldn't be this easy? Takeji kept to the outer edges, cautious and watchful. There had to be something more to this, an ambush perhaps or second wave that would circle around from behind. His mind began to tick into overdrive, half-concerned with the battles his siblings were now engaged in but more wary about the other shoe still to drop. He kept to the outskirts, watching and waiting, as he always did. It wasn't nerves, he wasn't scared, even if his heart was beating like a drum against his ribs. No, he was just being careful. Observing everything he could, waiting for the right moment to strike. Maybe one of his siblings would get ganged up on and he could step in and be of some use, or he could be the first one to sound the alarm if more of their enemies appeared on their flanks. In his mind he knew this was just a friendly engagement, but the tension pulling at every other part of his body disagreed. "Talk" "Listen" Think

Seiko moved as fluidly as they were able, hoping to twist Maki's strange initial attack into their advantage. Such a maneuver wasn't so easy to pull off, though it seemed to have worked this time, sending Maki down hard on the ground. Success. At the very least it earned Seiko a moment to consider what to do next, something they knew wasn't always a given in a fight.

Instead of trying to flip upright, their opponent chose to attack from her prone position. Interesting, not what Seiko would choose to do, but this wasn't a serious raid anyway and so they supposed some liberties could be afforded. Reaching forward, they tried to climb on top of the other wolf, hoping to pin them down to the ground. Maki's teeth found purchase near their cheek, and though Seiko flinched they didn't pull away, instead aiming their own parted jaws for the other wolf's throat- gently, of course, but roughly enough that they hoped they could get their opponent to admit defeat.

What happened as Majima was struggling to his paws was a blur, he barely registered his horns scraping against a body before weight slammed into his spine and somewhere off to his side he heard the screeching of two cats locked in a tussle. So there went his cat. Majima growled as he felt fangs dig into his scruff. If the smaller wolf wanted to keep him down so bad then who was Majima to disagree, the young man tossed his head to try and dislodge his opponent a bit but as he did so he let the extra weight carry him down but as he did Majima tried to angle himself so when he hit ground so would the wolf now on top of him, maybe even trap a leg or something under himself. Majima wasn't the heaviest wolf sure but even a good fall could knock the wind out of someone and maybe give him a chance to get back up properly this time! The roar of a raid fills the air and Unagi is hesitant to leave the nice chill that lingers at the top of their mountain. Maybe she can just ignore the call and pretend that she didn’t hear it. The thought of disappointing her grandfather is what eventually pulls her from her hideaway of snow and draws her down the mountain pathways. Paws thunder out a familiar rhythm as she barrels downward, spying the battlefield with the bright flashes of orange and red.

Paws slow as she scans the area for a moment, mismatched eyes finding a young man who seems to be lingering near the back of the attacking group. Large body slips around the fighting wolves, depositing her in front of the horned male. Unagi does not slow as she barrels toward the slightly taller wolf, eyes sparkling with joy as she seeks to try and slam her heavy ass body into him.

All that she think is that raids are always fun!

The pair scrambled on the floor, messy and uncoordinated, her teeth nabbed onto Seiko's cheek- and not even the sharp pointy ones. Just the nibbling front teeth that looked kinda derpy when looked at head on. Fur hit her tongue and Maki had to hold back the urge to wrinkle her nose, to spit out, only for her mismatched eyes to widen when she noticed Seiko was going for the throat. Smart, why hadn't Maki thought of that?

Again she kicked out with her legs, curling up as she attempted to bunny kick Seiko away, a front paw came up to slap too, just a lot of uncoordinated but not particularly rough flailing.
