Quote:The pack had made the trek, and Chrysanthe had watched the group with care. No member would be left behind, no one would be forgotten, the alpha had pressed on from the front, but stops had been made for water and rest, and it began to feel slow with her excitement to usher Valhalla to it's new home, but it never dragged on. Their pace was a comfortable one, she had Azalea and her children in mind, as well as Soliel's children, although the girls were quickly growing in age and size. Finally, the alpha would yip from her post, her tail wagging idly behind her - as she could hear the ocean, and taste the salt in the air. Chrysanthe would lift her head and give a short howl to the wolves that were traveling around her. It was a joyous sound that signaled the end of their journey. "We're here!"
She would wait before she crossed the water, let any injured, pups or elderly cross first. The strong would aide them, help them along where they could. The water here was shallow, but it was enough of a swim for her to want to keep an extra eye out. The alpha sighed with relief though, the beach up ahead signified the new start that she had been pushing for. It had taken a bit longer than she had hoped, but this island would be a good home for all of them - this was a good change, it had to be.
ooc: this is the entry thread for any and all Valhallans that have made the move to Nephilim Islands ^-^ Any new threads in Valhalla should be made on this board~

Walk | Talk | Think
The crossing may have been short and the water shallow, but by the time Ashtoreth's paws touched ground and she was able to pull herself clear of the waves she was glad it was over. She had always enjoyed being by the ocean, listening to the waves, basking on the beaches, running through the shallows. Getting into it and tackling its strong, relentless currents was something else entirely. The little grey hunter knew she was not much as far as mass and muscle went and therefore had little with which to fight back against it, but she did her best to put her quick paws to good use and get herself to their new island home as fast as she could, paying little to no attention to those around her aside from any encouragement until she was free and safe again on land.
Sopping wet and feeling a little shaken from the crossing, she went only a few steps clear of the waves before she stopped to close her gold and purple eyes and shake as much of the salty ocean water from her coat as she could. A little groan slid from her muzzle as she moved further up the beach to join the rest of the pack. Already she felt as if she needed to find any source of fresh water to splash in at the very least. And definitely something to get the strong tasting ocean water out of her mouth.
"Won't be making that trip again any time soon," Ash mumbled to herself, shaking once again as she stood back and set her eyes upon the island stretching out ahead of her, already curious what it hid as far as sustenance that she might be able to find and catch for meals for the newly settled in pack. But there were other matters that needed her attention presently; turning her attention to those arriving she counted the familiar faces and looked to see how she could assist without getting back into the water.
