The further South West he travelled, the hotter the land seemed to get. Until the grass seemed to fade from lush green to burnt tones of brown. The heat was a struggle for a wolf with fur as thick and insulated as his own. He felt his muzzle part as he panted softly. He had no desire to spend any longer than he must here.

He worked quickly, searching for a scent, and finding one. Blinking the sun from his eyes, he angled his head downwards and trotted forward. Catching the edges of a scent, something to hunt. Thank goodness, he didn’t want this to take very long.
