You don't know
Ultyr

The night was disturbed for the tiny slave. Her head lifting as a tremor shook her awake. She was laying in the shadow of her master when her sleep was disturbed. Her head lifted and ears pricked as the earth trembled. The quake more violent than others before. Her eye half lidded from sleep turned to the horizon, the sun would rise soon. But the color on the precipice of the skyline was wrong. She blinked the sleep from her eye.
She stood and slung her bag over her shoulder. Something felt off. Wrong. Ears pressed and she looked at the prince that slept beside her. Dainty paw touching his shoulder to wake him. Then she was lifting her nose to the air. The scent of many coming clear on the wind, then the sound in the distance of screams. Her ears folded back. A glance to Ultyr to ensure he either was telling her to go or to follow and she was off.
Dainty paws taking her at a jog. Something was going on and she wanted to know what.
She arrived as another gust of wind brought more screams, her eye falling on the pillars. The land looked morphed, disturbed and grotesque from the tremors. She moved cautiously now, pace slowing. What was this place? Was it naturally like this? She moved to a pillar, moving around it and studying it. Something made her dislike the way they screamed with the wind. The faces on the base of them catching her attention. She made to brush the dirt off the face closest to her and then blow it cleaned to make it out more clearly.

A glance to Ultyr as he stood like a massive guard behind her. A question in her eye before giving a glance back to the spire before her. What did he make of this? Her eye looked over the land questioningly. There were so many spires and she wasn't sure how they came to be or why but she kind of wanted to find out.
She moved to the other side of the spire, a thought on the soft looking dirt in the center. What if she climbed inside it and dug at that? Wat would the base of such a thing look like? Would it be solid? Or perhaps twisted like the point.
A glance to Ultyr, but she wasn't asking permission. Some of it looked large enough she could fit in.... and thats what she did. She squeezed in, carefully before Ultyr could protest her doing so. Then set to work, one paw after another digging at the softer dirt and throwing it outside the spire as she dug. She wasn't going to get there fast she knew but if she could glimpse the base maybe she could have a few answers to the questions in her head.

Mid dig he was shouting at her and she stopped everything she was doing. Her ears tilted back and she looked back at him as he shouted. "What are you doing? Get out! Come back! How dare you!"Her tail tucked and she twisted towards how she had squeezed in there.
It was an order but he seemed angry at the same time. Her eyes dropped and she lowered herself. If she came out he was angry already and as much as she wanted to see what was at the base of the spire, she really didn't want his anger. Anger with these behemoths lead to pain for her. If she didn't do as he said though, the pain would be worse. She could hear him digging and she moved then. Hopping up onto the larger spot and squeezing through until she was outside the spire.
She stood there then and waited. She expected pain. All she had wanted was to satiate the curiosity inside her mind and figure out what was at the base of the spire. She lowered her head and kept her eyes down. Submission before it was demanded of her, conditioned to take any beating she was given, she wasn't running or going to fight back.

She didn't stop him and she honestly had no way of stopping him from digging. The moment he took notice she was outside of the spire though he was upon her. His snarls had her quaking and teeth upon her throat as he shoved her into the ground making her squeeze her eyes shut. Her body hit the ground and a rush of air came from her lungs.
He didn't have to do much and her body was twisting as much as he would allow. Belly exposing and tail tucking. Breathing was hard for a moment as he clinched her tender skin below her chin. Body shuddering and she pressed her ears, body squeezing to be as small as possible. She knew these giants anger. If she flailed, thrashed or fought back, it would only increase their anger. "Never-"
His voice was not on deaf ears but her heart hammered in her chest. The blood in her ears rushing. then he was standing up and her tail was yanked, effectively lifting her tiny form and a silent what would of been yelp given to him. "Never go where I cannot reach you." He had likely intended for her to look him in the eyes, but she shirked and clenched them. Her eyes were watery but letting them know what hurt you is how you ended up hurt more usually, so she wouldn't cry now. Later when she slept maybe but not now.
She just nodded her head and was dropped back to the ground with a rush of air from her lungs. "Now tell me what you can of this place." She sat back up and shrinked under him, more submission and attempts to placate his anger. She hadn't meant to make him angry. She moved though grabbing the book from her bag and the pencil brush. She flipped it open to an empty page using the pencil to write out some words for him. He seemed angry enough to forget she had no voice but she still scribbled. 'About as much as you do likely master.' His answer in plain text before them. Once the words were wrote she slid the book into plain view and waited.
