-exploring the tunnels-

Leaving the sanctuary of The Syndicate, Azoula was out on the hunt- only, it was not flesh and blood that the tigress desired- but instead, knowledge. Following the moonless night and the crimson afterglow, their scouts had been reporting ethereal occurrences in the southern region. Oddities that could not be explained by reason. The saying, ‘curiosity killed the cat’ may very well be true- Azoula was drawn to the shimmering shore, wanting to investigate the occurrences for herself.

When she arrives, she finds the seaside in shambles. The ground has given way, revealing a subterranean labyrinth begging to be explored. And explore she would. Slipping underground, Azoula uses her feline vision, navigational skills, and preceptive Palm Cockatoo to aid her in this pursuit.

Slowly, she begins to patrol the winding passages, searching for flickers of movement, as she keeps her powerful senses on high alert.

"Speech"

He wasn't sure why he felt a connection to Auster. Perhaps it was because he had washed on its shores instead of Boreas. No matter the reason, as soon as he had heard tale of peculiar channels rising above the surface, Raumr wasted no time heading down to investigate. His long legs would carry him in great strides over the familiar sandy land bridge, skirting around the Hallows territory, and straight for the Shimmering Shore. A once beautiful place now in disarray as a labyrinth appears before him. Had these tunnels been here all along?

Approaching slowly, unsure if the ground would collapse beneath his heavy weight, he notices a smaller, brown tigress also inspecting a nearby tunnel entrance. It's not often he finds other big cats and he hopes she's receptive to him. A greeting rumble resounds through his chest as he closes the distance between him, the tunnel, and tigress. "Care for company?" He asks in his deep, honey sweet tones.

All around her, the air is cool and thick with the smell of moisture and earth, mingled with faint undertones of sea salt and moss. In a sense, it reminded her of home- the rocky inlet that met the Northern sea in The Polar Sound, surrounded by a lush, flourishing pine forest. Oh? Her nostrils flare as a new scent tickles her senses. The musky, alluring smell of a male feline. Azoula pauses, her whiskers twitching as she continues to gather information, testing the environment. She couldn’t see him yet, couldn’t hear him either- but that overpowering smell- it meant he was nearby.

A low, rumbling greeting resonates off the walls of the passage, and Azoula slowly twists in place, turning to face him. She’s not sure what to expect- certainly not a massive, powerful, handsome male lion. “My, what do we have here?” She purrs, reciprocating his honey-sweet tones, as her eyes trail across every inch of his well-defined frame. He seemed competent enough- if they encountered danger, surely the two of them could fight their way out of it. Being felines and all. And so, Azoula decides to accept his company.

Cocking a brow, the tigress starts to turn from the male, intent on moving deeper into the tunnels. “You may join me.” With a flick of her tail, she motions for him to follow her.
