Come down, come down sweet reverence

Keen to engage in more fights, Jynn wandered to the Battlefield. She spent a few days looking for a good place to settle before she eventually ended up at a small, blood-stained clearing. After seasons of wandering she'd let her fighting skills fall to the wayside. She couldn't allow that to continue, especially now being a pack wolf and having responsibilities.

Jynn swiveled her ears source a call but hearing none decided she could go ahead and make her own announcement. Tipping back her head she did her best to howl for an opponent though once again it was the usual roar-bark of her kind, not the elegant howl of the wolves.

Björn⁢ had haunted the battlefield, lurking, looking for an excuse to rid himself of the aggression that burned so brightly in his chest. An outlet. The boy needs an outlet, needs something that will allow him to let loose. Fights. Let him fight, let him bleed, let him carry on. Let him carry on until there's nothing left, and the beast is sated once more.

A call comes from the other side of the small rise, though it sounds far different than he's accustomed to. Bristling, Björn⁢ breaks into a lope, closing the distance with his keen, icy gaze. Grey eyes settling on the source, curiosity blooming in his system. "You are... not a wolf." Brow furrowing, as he sets up on the defensive anyway. A fight is a fight, and this would be an adversary stronger than the ragtag coyotes, anyway. "Bring it on, then."

Jynn stretched lightly as she waited for an answer to her call, and soon a towering young man loped into view. A crown of antlers adorned his head and he slowed at the sight of her, noting that she wasn't a wolf. Jynn grinned and nodded. "Indeed, I'm called a maned wolf but you are correct, my kind are not true wolves. We are our on creature." He set himself ready and encouraged her to bring it on. "Glady," she replied. Jynn swiftly set her defenses, making sure to pin her large ears to her head and tuck her tail. Her hackles raised, her mane standing on end along with the rest of her fur as she rolled her shoulders forward.

Kicking off hard she charged toward the man, seeking to close the distance as rapidly as possible. As she neared her opponent she leapt to her left, planting her front feet and trying to pivot in toward the man's right side. Her fangs lashed out, seeking to tag the man's right side, just behind his armpit. She wanted to cut flesh but not leave a serious wound or obtain a grasp.

Björn quirks his head to the side, curious as the uncanny valley wolf speaks. Maned wolf. Well, if nothing else, he'd learned something new today. Little time to dwell on it, as she springs into action. These are the things he lives for.

Hackles up, shoulders forward, drawing to his full height-- Björn is ready. More than ready. As the not-wolf charges him, he lowers his antlered head. Though teeth would find purchase on his side, he takes the close quarters as an invitation.

Swinging to toss his head with intention, an effort to nail the woman with his antlers in retaliation. Björn would do what he could to maintain contact, and not let her widen the gap as they locked in combat. Gathering in his hindquarters and throwing out a foreleg, it's in an effort to rise up and sling it over the woman's shoulder. A risk, but hell, what is he without risk?

Jynn's fangs snagged the flesh of the boy's side, clipping skin in vicious tag. She immediately planted her front legs, seeking to swing her hind legs behind her but before she could the boy's horns slammed into her left hip. She used the force to aid her own momentum in the pivot, barely managing to keep upright but the pain made her yelp. The horns had pierced her skin but thankfully not too deep. The blow also pushed her hind quarters out of range of his raised limb as she angled in perpendicularly to the hip she'd bitten. Kicking off hard she attempted to raise herself up enough so that her fangs could bite into his back, just between his hips. This time she hoped for a hold.

Disorganized but brutal, Björn is brassy and reckless. Swinging his head, letting loose a torrent of blood from his eyes as he engages the woman. Shit, this is fun. Clearly a more experienced fighter, he'd need to get creative. Spurred on by the yelp, knowing that he's made contact. At least he's getting somewhere.

Though her teeth make contact on his rump, Björn is quick to swing around. Turning in the close quarters, lashing out with his jaws once more. Snapping, snarling, and spraying blood... it's all typical for him, but fuck, it's fun. His attack is without true direction, whatever he gets is good enough. The rot prince is thoroughly enjoying himself. No one can take this away from him.
