Summer was the best time to visit the north. It allowed for freedom of movement that was often restricted by the winter storms. Although there was something else restricting his journey to the S.S, Antiox where he planned to do some pillaging. There was a pack border here where he didn't remember one being before. Well what the fuck… Tarnish hopped up on the stone wall and began walking along it, tracing the southern border as he hunted for where it ended. He wasn't in any terrible hurry though. He took his sweet time stalking along the wall, his crow flying above overhead.

Úlfr headed north toward the wash, following the scent of caribou as he tracked their movements and made mental hunting plans. As he neared the wall however he caught the scent of pack wafting down from the northern breeze. It had been awhile since he'd gone this way but Úlfr was not the sort to test his luck with another pack's borders. He intended to give them a wide berth, but just as he was about to shift his course west he spied a dark colored yearling walking along the wall. Supposing the boy hadn't caught that there was a pack nearby he approached and called out. "Careful, young one. You are near another packs border." While the boy was likely safe atop the wall, if he slipped and fell inside it he could be close enough to the border to warrant aggression.

Tarnish walked along nonchalantly, his tail waving in the air as he enjoyed his venture along the wall. It was all going well until a strange man showed up and warned him about being near a pack border. Tarnish scowled. He didn't like being told off by others, let alone some stranger who didn't mean anything to him. "Oh fuck off, old man. You should worry about yourself. I'm just as dangerous as any pack wolf on this continent." As if to prove his point Tarnish raised his hackles and set his defenses. With a flying leap he dove down towards the man, jaws flung wide. Tarnish attempted to latch his jaws on the left side of the older man's face while wrapping his arms around the base of the man's neck. His claws were out, seeking to dig deep into the man's shoulders.

Úlfr blinked but said nothing as the young man swore at him. Well, so much for offering some good advice, he should've expected such a brazen youth to be resistant to the idea of advice. It didn't end with insults however, for the boy immediately hurled himself at Úlfr with unwarranted violence. As soon as the older man saw the boy's defenses set he set his own. He had no problem maiming a yearling, especially one that wanted to start shit. With his hackles raised, ears pinned and tail tucked he readied himself for a bloody battle. The youth leapt down and Úlfr threw caution to the winds, head raised to the sky and waiting jaws wide open. He shifted himself to his left, seeking to catch the right side of the boy's face in his jaws, thus countering the attack. His upper fangs aimed for just above the boy's right eye in the middle of his forehead, the lower fangs below the right eye. He felt the boy's arms wrap around his neck, claws digging deep into the middle of his back.

With her fossa having informed her of a potential trespasser, Kaino shifted course and made her way towards the border of Syndicate lands. Before she could see them, the lavender fae could hear raised voices. As she neared, Kaino could make out the younger of the pair saying that he was more dangerous than any pack wolf. Irritated already, she decided to show him that this wasn't the case.

As the light and pale wolves battled, Kaino moved into position. With the black wolf distracted, she took the opportunity to take him from behind. Coming in on the left side of her opponent, the bobtailed woman attempted to sink her teeth into his hip. One paw hooked around his heel while the other lifted to settle on his side. Retractable tiger claws pushed from the fae's toes, aiming to puncture flesh and give her a decent hold upon him.

Tarnish was forced to adjust his target mid attack as the man's head raised toward his with fangs bared. He could hear his crow calling out a warning that there was another opponent but Tarnish could do little about it as he was already locked in combat with the other man. His teeth sought purchase on the man's left shoulder as he shifted his head out of the way, feeling the man's lower fangs slice through the side of his neck leaving moderate lacerations in his flesh.

Tarnish tried to pull his rear in closer to himself in hopes of shrinking himself as a target but there was little he could really do being unable to see the second wolf. He knew where she was only when he felt the pain of fangs in his left thigh. She had hold of him but there was little he could do. His heart raced, but it was a grounding feeling. A refreshing feeling to the disconnect he'd felt with the world during his illness. This wasn't a strange dream or a hallucination, this was real, he was here… and he was in serious danger.

The boy twisted his head out of the way, just enough for his shoulder to collide into Úlfr's waiting jaws. He bit deep, planting his legs as he caught the vulgar youth. Blood pooled into his mouth and he bit down harder, seeking to thrash his head as the boy's fangs found his shoulder. They were locked viciously together and out of the corner of his eye, looking past the fur on the boy's neck he saw the woman attacking the youth's hindquarters. That was all he saw before a viscious pain entered his mouth. Úlfr could feel the spikes of the youth's fur but he held on none-the-less. A viking through and through it would take more than pain to dislodge him from his target.

Being pulled at both ends, there wasn't much that the dark wolf could do. The pale brute bit and held and Kaino did the same, though she sank her kitten claws into her opponents flesh to hold on for good measure. Who in the hell did this kid think he was, anyway? Trespassing wasn't something that any pack took lightly. Why did he think that The Syndicate would be any different? He was lucky that she wasn't claiming his ass as a slave.

Kaino continued to hold on, jerking the black wolf one way while the other brute jerked him the other. It would be interesting if he came... ungloved... as the saying went. Just rip his little black pajamas right in two.
