-Exploring the Tunnels-
Mercury and Gwynevere hurried to the territory of the Shimmering shore. They’d been heading back to the Hallows from the Prominence. Confusion still their main discovery, when they heard the disturbance. The sudden shaking, and the sound of earth falling. They arrived to find the territory riddled with holes. Finding a safe way in was no easy feat.
As he carefully and cautiously stepped down the fallen earth, he turned back to Gwyn. To see if she needed help stepping down. It seemed prudent to explore what was happening here. It was so close to the Castle! If there was a danger, they needed to know it.

As if the odd land that was being call the Prominence wasn't bad enough, the sudden quake so close to home only made her worry more. She was too concerned and focused on just staying with Mercury to really think twice about going to the site of where things were happening and before she knew it she was following Mercury into a tunnel that had opened up as a result of it. There was a hesitation at the top of this path he found, but as Mercury looked back toward her to help her down she drew in a steadying breath and followed suit, making sure to watch where he placed his paws to make sure she followed his path exactly. This was very much outside of her comfort zone, but she trusted Mercury and she wanted to get to the bottom of what was going on as much as he did.

He could sense Gwynevere’s unease, and hoped he wasn’t making a mistake in bringing her with him. When he realised this was right next to the Hallows, he hadn’t hesitated. Hadn’t given it more than a moment's thought, certainly not enough to wonder if perhaps Gwyn had had it with weird lands to explore.
He cast her a worried glance as she eased down into the tunnel, following in his steps. “I’m sorry, I should have asked. I can escort you back to the Hallows first, if you like?” with all the weird happenings, he wasn’t about to let her head back there alone. He wouldn’t forgive himself if something happened to her.
