Many of you will probably remember the OG Abraxas where it was kind of a 'Want one? Got one,' situation. I'm not planning on micromanaging or reclaiming any of these, it just sounded like a fun idea and I want more people to write fun things with! If you have your own design and you want to toss a character into this whole framework all on your own, the more the merrier. Just have fun, be chill, and let's enjoy ourselves.

Personality: Seax is a cheerful, loud, brash sort of woman. She's quick to laugh, quick to tease, and friendly in an alarmingly physical sort of way. Sarcasm is her stock in trade and she's vulgar and crass in the casual sort of way that lets you know it's very much deliberate and meant to annoy. She's headstrong and overly self-reliant, horrible at asking for help really. Just an absolute idiot at times when it comes to trusting others. A bit distractable, and not real super at the more cerebral things since she tends to prioritize the physical over the intellectual. She is definitely the type who would just bust down a wall to get out of a maze. Not dumb but definitely not someone who thinks before acting. For all that, she's brave to, perhaps, the point of insanity, incredibly noble, incredibly loyal. She has a great big heart that she wears on her sleeve and can be shockingly tender and loving. And the spirits help anyone who would hurt someone she cared for, because Seax would rain hellfire and brimstone down on them - metaphorically. She'd definitely beat them up.
History: Seax had a pretty loosey-goosey sort of upbringing as a child. She was allowed to run wild, occasionally caught and temporarily tamed only to escape again into gleefully feralness. She could have had any of a dozen parents in the band she grew up in, they all treated her and the other pups as though they were, so while she didn't have an especially close bond with the pair that actually had birthed her because of it, she'd never cared because they were all bonded enough. They all had a similar rough, cheerful physicality and care for one another, and they all wandered in and out of the band casually, often without any notice. That lack of closeness made it easy enough to say goodbye when she reached adulthood and had left for adventures in far off lands where her brawn and her spells would be more needed than with a band full of witchy types who were all just as good at witch jars and talismans as she was.

Personality: Cue the cackling! Nomadic, a little crazy, *sophisticated feral*, talks to things unseen, very smart if you're able to get her to focus. Likes to wear things on her head and has lots of pockets. She may or may not have sticky fingers. (You can't prove anything!) Loves to laugh and be a little over the top (Imagine Rafiki, only a cute lady and a little more addled.)
History: Raised with Redwater traditions and ideals and then set loose upon the world to travel and learn and grow. She knows a little about a lot of things and a lot about even more things. She's a pro at reading bones and entrails. Senua loves to read books and is full of stories, which she will tell to anyone that shows a modicum of interest. Or anyone that shows no interest at all! She's kind and sweet and goofy and playful. Not much gets her down but there are rare moments where the weight of the world settles down upon her and she becomes sullen.

Kallias is soft spoken. His outer exterior may be that of true Rowanwood heritage, but what leaves his lips is from those of lives past. Unfavorable of the sun or particularly warm, bright places, most will often find him in dark glades or whispering willow groves. He spends most of his time building shrines that serve as shelters for those that need it. While he prefers the solitude of himself, his family, and the spirits, he would never turn someone away... As long as they offer something to the shrine. Whether it be a trinket or something more personal, Kallias will only accept something in trade for his services. Nothing is ever free from him.
Conversating with him can often be difficult. His mind is often distracted by those who speak to him. Old souls trapped in the living realm wishing for help. Kallias believes his shrines will help ferry the lost souls to the other side. He also believes that the more he helps, the longer he'll live. That it is absolutely possible for him to live forever.
History: Raised with a strict belief of the Rowanwood heritage, it is not beyond belief to often him with others from his lineage. Though he isn't particularly good at socializing, Kallias treasures family above all else. Raised by good parents who were adept and fruitful with their teachings. Upon his second birthday, Kallias set out with his sister (whoever else is interested) to start their own coven and gather like minded individuals to spread the river of knowledge that comes with becoming eternal and being a pure Rowanwood.

Personality: A magpie. A collector. A girl who will fill her head, her home, and her life with the stories of others. Weaving herself among them, it's a way of finding beauty in it. There's beauty in all things, and chief among them, is eternity. But then, she does mean all things. Arete is a skilled deathbed sitter, drawing in the tales that would otherwise slip into oblivion, all the while keeping their teller comfortable. It's a fascination without morbidity, only dignity and a desire to understand.
A collector who's always willing to show off her collection. Arete loves to tell stories, especially with her slightly dramatic flare. Call it a stage persona, those who have been enchanted by her storytelling only see what she wants them to.
Though Arete is gentle, she's also extremely frank. One foot in worlds unknown, one foot on the ground. She's steady, careful with her words, but she doesn't sugarcoat things. It's possible to be comforting and a realist at once, though the balance is delicate. Arete lives between those boundaries very carefully.
Drawn to beauty, or places that could be restored to beauty... unfortunately, this stems to her taste in company. Arete believes she can fix anything with enough time and maybe some extra-planar assistance.
History: Raised with rigid beliefs, Arete is relaxing a bit as they venture further from home. She takes on stories, and weaves them so carefully that suspension of disbelief is deeply ingrained. Setting out with her brother (and whoever else would like to tap in), they're spreading the word, while she tries to soak in knowledge from whatever source is willing.

Ibis is quiet, her voice is as soft and gentle as her attitude, carrying no ill will towards those around her. This quietness tends to lend others to the idea that she prefers to be on her own and to some degree that's correct. An introvert by nature, not even realizing it as she drifts away from large groups of others, and favors less crowded or frequented areas to care for. One could almost mistake her for being jaded at times with how she hides away her emotions from others. This is far from the truth, she feels things very deeply and strongly and can be protective of the spaces she's working on repairing.
Though this protective nature never leans into outright aggression or attacking others, it can lead to anger towards those she sees as harming her working space or angering the spirits. However, she would rarely lash out at another unless they were attempting to harm her. Ibis is a nurturing soul, wanting to see things grow and thrive, whether that's another being, a spirit, or simply the world around her. She will actively work herself to the bone to get things done, throwing herself into whatever she's working on, and not leaving the project till it's finished in full.
Always one to see things through to the end regardless of how tired she happens to be. She believes she is here in this world for a reason and that the reason is to provide a safe place for others to communicate with those from the beyond and to help in the growth of the world around her.
History:
Ibis grew up as an only pup to a single mother from the Rowanwood lineage, a quiet life if there ever was one. She and her mother were as different as night and day though. Arcani was broad, strong, and as healthy as an ox with the Rowanwood deep brown coloring her fur, patches of red-brown, and thin streaks of a brighter blue-green threading through her fur. Ibis wasn't that, at a glance, you almost couldn't tell she was Arcani's daughter. Sickly, frail, and washed out with a coat of white and blue-grey and patches of black. Despite the visual differences, Ibis was treated wonderfully by her mother. Growing up learning about the grove around her family and the world beyond that, though Arcani had no real want to let her tiny child out into the world, she knew someday the day would come when Ibis chose to wander. She wanted her prepared for what lay ahead as best as she could.
So Ibis was taught to build, how to construct shrines even if they were small things, to heal wounds and illness should they come. To be smart, and wise, and to always watch the world around her since it would show her where she was going and where she had come from. However most important to her were the lessons where she was taught to simply listen, to feel for that heart-pulling motion that would lead her to where the places beyond were just in reach. To nurture those spaces and to treat them with love and respect. Arcani was a skilled teacher but knew she was no match for real-world experience, and when the time came she saw Ibis off into the world.

Personality: Harrowhark is an intensely driven, painfully driven even, maybe even horrifyingly driven young wolf. Intense in everything she does she is sharp edged and brittle in the way that very hard things are - prone to crack and break rather than bend, she is stubborn beyond belief though she'd prefer to say dedicated, rather. She is dedicated and gives those who've earned that starved heart all of herself herself with that same wholesale intensity, body soul and blood with no reservation. Yet she trusts so little and so warily, with a feral sort of timidity, until that moment she steps off that precipice. She embraces death with the loving familiarity of one who has been raised with death only a breath away, always, and always followed by the knowledge that her siblings died in the den, her parents soon after, to allow her to survive and so she both loathes herself for it and must live up to their sacrifice.
She is a complicated girl, Harrowhark.
Harsh, demanding, hard, and sharp. Almost arrogant, the shield she has built herself into, the obsidian athame she is, but beneath, hidden, the grieving, lost, terrible child. Alone by choice, severe and unwelcoming of familiarity - but lonely, bowed beneath the weight of it.
History: Born to a pair of secretive, secluded loners of the Ravelocke clan, she and her siblings came into the world already steeped in tragedy. The cave their parents had been living in had collapsed, badly injuring their father and trapping both parents in, and sending their mother into an early labor. They were small and weak, and days without food as the all but incapacitated pair struggled to clear a way to the outside world took its toll. Their mother simply could not produce enough milk for all the tiny pups and so as the days passed and they all grew weaker, they opted to... quietly end the lives of the weaker littermates, leaving only Harrowhark, tiny and frail but the strongest of the litter despite it, to receive the meager calories that could be provided. They finally escaped the cave together, but the damage had been done. Her mother was horribly weakened by the ordeal and died within the month, and her father - crippled by the injuries that had been all but untended - eventually fell to an attack by a pack of coyotes that had ambushed them. Harrowhark, a prodigy of a witch, who he had died to protect, left the lands that had taken so much and traveled alone to wherever the rune bones took her.

Design: (see image above) embodies an aura of allure and mystery, her dark, sleek fur. enigmatic presence. Her build is graceful yet powerful, with a striking fluidity in her posture that suggests agility and control. A delicate yet haunting spider-web pattern adorns her coat, symbolizing intricacy and perhaps even a hidden danger, hinting at her connection to darkness and the unknown.
Her amber eyes glow like twin embers, exuding intelligence and predatory intent. Her eyes draw in those who dare to meet her gaze. The subtle highlights across her coat catch the light in elegant streaks (debating a glow?) they add a glimmer that enhances her supernatural beauty. She appears to be a creature that thrives in both the shadows and the limelight, equally comfortable and captivating.

Embodying both grace and menace, like a spider spinning its web... she is beautiful, deceivingly delicate, and deadly. Lithe. Graceful. Ballerina of death?

Personality: Arachne is captivated by the beauty within decay and finds wonder in the transient nature of life. She finds joy in things others consider grim such as patterns formed by dried bones or the spirals of smoke rising from a burnt offering. She is very skilled in diviniation . Arachne weaves together knowledge from various sources(stars, bones, whispers, dreams, smoke, and shadows). She enjoys drawing connections between seemingly unrelated events, and believes that the world communicates through hidden patterns. In conversation, she is deliberate and patient. Her fascination with death is not macabre but reverent, seeing it as a natural, sacred part of existence. Arachne is warm and understanding, offering solace to those struggling with difficult truths. She is gentle in her delivery of harsh realities, believing that while truth must be faced, it can be handled with kindness she doesn’t shy away from loss. Others might misinterpret her reverence for death as coldness. It is a part of life. No need to fear it.

Arachne’s purpose is to remind others of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of cherishing every moment, while also showing them the beauty that can be found even in endings... seeks to help others come to terms with life’s inevitabilities, guiding them through transitions with grace and wisdom
History: As a pup, Arachne was found orphaned and raised by scavenger companions (particularly crows or a lone vulture). These animals became her mentors, teaching her the art of patience, survival, and reading signs in the remains left behind by others. When she eventually reunited with her kin, Arachne was more attuned to animals and death than to other wolves.

Before she was reunited, she lived in a land far away. It was there she met what she was sure was the love of her life. A wolf from a rival lineage who was deeply superstitious about death and fearful of the Ravenlocke’s practices. Their love was brief and ended in tragedy when her lover, misinterpreting a prophecy, believed Arachne would bring ruin to their pack. The betrayal wounded her deeply, shaping her mistrust of romantic connections. She isn't so free about sharing her findings or even giving away her magical talents.

History: I would like his family of Ravenlocke to be “newer”, open to intermingling with the other lineages, and even potentially falling in love with someone from a different lineage. He would be more socialized and interactive with other lineages, perhaps even being used as a bounty hunter or assassin for someone in the future. Open to family, friends, and ideas!

Quiet and contemplative, Galena is an empathetic wolf. She can sense the emotions of those around her, feeling what others are feeling as though the emotions were her own. She intuitively sees the world through other's eyes, sharing their perspectives and sensing unvoiced questions and needs. An introspective wolf, Galena regularly reflects on how she feels about her experiences after they occur, using this knowledge to sharpen her thinking and center herself after a heated moment. Because of her empathy, Galena is very choosy about the company she keeps. Opting to avoid overly negative and angry individuals that might drag her state of mind down and instead seeking out the company that complements or expands her own experiences. As she gets older she'll seek to give voice to the emotional lives of others as well as her own. Hoping to reign in her empathy so she can better disconnect in order to help others rather than getting swept up and overwhelmed in their emotions or her own.
Perspective and background are important to Galena. She values the retrospective viewpoint because she believes that where the answers lie. She looks to the past to understand the present. From the past she can discern the blueprints for the future. If no patterns are found she can find it very disorienting and difficult to move forward into the future. Others may become impatient with Galena as she strives to understand the history of a given situation. But this historical context is what gives her confidence in her decisions. Galena gravitates toward others that love to think or talk about the past. She particularly keen on learning what she can from older, more experienced wolves. Since she rely's on history to guide her decision-making she is keen to explore past decisions, large and small, to help her understand the implications of her choices today.
Still unsure of her talents and her way in the world, Galena is drawn to other wolves she already knows. This doesn't necessarily mean she shies away from meeting new wolves, but it takes a lot of intention on her part for she enjoys the strength and comfort from being around close friends. A loyal and trustworthy wolf, Galena will give her all for her friends, sometimes leaving little left of herself to offer those outside her group.
Despite her interest in the past Galena is able to live in the moment. She doesn't see the future as a fixed destination, but more a place that she can create out of the choices she makes right now. She'll discover that future one choice at a time. This doesn't mean she doesn't have plans but her adaptability allows her to respond willingly to the demands of the moment, even if circumstances pull her away from her plans. She doesn't resent sudden requests or unforeseen detours. In fact she expects them. She is, at heart, very flexible and can stay productive when circumstances pull her in may directions at once.
Galena does her best to enjoy the moment. She knows she has a tendency to overly focus on the past and as she gets older she'll gain a heightened sense of the impermanence of each moment. By nature she is a free spirit who is seldom thrown off balance by unexpected events and comments. Instead, she reacts to things as they occur. She is quite comfortable letting her future unfold at its own pace. This doesn't mean she never things about the future, rather she takes time to envision how she might react to future situations using the knowledge she gleans from the past. This forethought helps her adjust to unexpected problems. Overall, Galena trusts that she will find her path as it evolves and resists being tied to predetermined plans and standardized systems.
History:
Raised in a small, and secluded clan of the Rowanwood lineage, Galena took to her studies early. Shy and unsure of others as a young pup she preferred to listen to stories of the elders and work on crafts rather than running out and playing with the other pups. It was a fairly standard upbringing, however a month before her third season disastrous rains came upon the land. The storm system sat over them, dumping more and more water, causing the land to flood. While trying to assist her family, Galena was swept off far down river. She was rescued by Tsuga and now travels along with him. She is eager to learn what she can and hopes to send a message back to her family to let them know she is ok and beginning her journey early.

Sephie moves through the world like a sparrow, light on her feet and flitting from place to place, her presence often felt more like a breeze than a force. Introverted and caught up in her own imagination, she spends much of her time lost in thought, drifting into her own world where she communes with spirits and dances through memories and visions that few others can sense. This inner world, however, makes her prone to startle easily, as if drawn back to reality too suddenly, and it is in these moments she might appear more small bird than wolf.
Despite her distraction, she is quite in tune with her surroundings, and quick to vacate a place when the vibes are off. Sephie is resourceful and observant, picking up on hidden details or unspoken emotions in others, yet she has a restless spirit, always seeking new places and sensations. This ethereal, elusive quality can make her hard to pin down, as she often chooses to retreat rather than confront difficulties, embracing a flight-over-fight instinct. For those who can understand her sensitive nature, Sephie offers a wealth of empathy and a quiet, whimsical wisdom, yet her world often feels just out of reach to those grounded in more practical matters.
History: Sephie feels she has a deep connection with the spiritual world, so deep in fact, that sometimes she considers existence on the physical plane... a rather unfortunate distraction. She has a tendency of getting caught up in happenings just beyond the perception of others and it was one such episode that led her to wandering here, with no recollection of how to get back to her family. Not to worry though, she's sure they more than understand.

Personality: Sully is a creature shaped by both the land and his adventurous upbringing as a Redwater. His scruffy, weathered coat tells the tale of countless journeys, marked by the nicks and scars of brambles and thickets he has traversed. With a rough-around-the-edges charm, he carries himself with a confidence that comes from living life to the fullest, always seeking out new experiences and magical moments in the mundane.
As a moonshiner and tinkerer, Sully possesses a natural talent for crafting potions and charms. He can whip up remedies and brews from local herbs, imbuing them with a touch of magic that only a Redwater wolf could conjure. His makeshift workshop, a tangle of tools, jars, and odd trinkets that are often strung haphazardly across his back, serves as a testament to his resourcefulness (think old timey prospector). He may be a little disorganized, but there’s a method in his madness, and he takes pride in his ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Sully’s straightforward demeanor and blunt honesty can sometimes rub others the wrong way, but it’s rooted in his belief that life is too short for pretense. He’s quick to share a laugh or a story, and his loyalty to family and friends is unwavering; he’ll lend a paw without hesitation, always willing to share his latest concoctions or the fruits of his labors around with those who deign to join him.
Sully finds magic in the fleeting moments of life: the laughter of kin, the crackle of fire, or the dance of fireflies on a warm summer night. He is dedicated to living fully in the present, while still holding onto the deep traditions that shape him.
History: Probably grew up in a 'Be home before the streetlights come on' home (but what are streetlights?). In another life he probably grew up drinking from the garden hose, and perfectly acceptable first aid for scrapes and scratches was to rub some dirt in it. Probably a huge extended family that lived in each other's pockets but also had a tendency to wander off for a while. Everyone is secure in the knowledge that they'll find their way back eventually and he is no exception.

The most polite way to describe the kind of distant, scatterbrained way that the wolf moves through the world would be to call him.. Aloof. Often needing his attention redirected to the matter at hand, or to be reminded of tasks unfinished. Prone to a devastating case of resting bitch face when lost in thought- alternating between squinting and furrowed brows and an entirely flat stare. Due in part to his absentminded demeanour and in equal part to his intense predisposition to embodying the ideal witch, he can at times speak in half formed thoughts and vagaries.
A born nomad- a wanderer with thousands of miles steeped into his blood and marrow. The journey is all there is; destination is irrelevant, companions are ever changing, and when his legs cannot carry him any longer he will be happy to die with a lifetime of stories. Aimless and content, perfectly lackadaisical. The clandestine nature of their existence is in itself a vector for the magic that imbues them with purpose, guided by the whims of whatever forces claim the lands that they walk and at the mercy of all manner of spirits.
Endlessly fond of their craft and the variability of it all, they are almost always working away at something. Well versed in weaving, carving, and painting. The staples of the Redwater folk- small charms and subtle marks made within the existing landscape to draw out and magnify what was already there. A few tricks plucked from the traditions of their mothers kin for the discerning customer, those who prefer the ephemeral varieties of mysticism. Tea leaves and rune readings, available to those who know the right questions to ask.
History:
-Born to a Rowanwood mother who made the mistake of falling for a Redwater's flattery while the caravan was camped nearby to trade with a few of the small clans that inhabited the area. After a difficult pregnancy, only one pup survived. Worse yet, it was immediately apparent that it was its fathers child. Always on the move, and though it was obvious that this was a child who was deeply connected with the mystic, there was not a snowball's chance in hell that she was going to waste time teaching her trade to a child who was meant for a different kind of life. So she took the barely weaned infant, swaddled and strapped to her chest for a long journey ahead, and followed the trade route that the caravan took every year for the past dozen or more generations. The man who'd burdened her with the little beast was nowhere to be found when she deposited the child with the delighted kinfolk who were camped at the foot of the mountain pass. -Raised in a hodgepodge of a family with all manner of cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and acquaintances who joined up with the caravan as unpredictably as a summer storm. There was always someone to follow the path that the family walked every year, but never the same folks at each stop along the way.

Abrasive: Mallacht has a harsh way of communicating, brought about by his lack of socialization and etiquette. Being ditched by his family from a young age he has grown to be quite blunt and defensive in his speech. Not quite understanding what he is saying or how he is saying it can be wrong and somewhat abusive.
Adaptable: He is quick to learn to suit his role, able to understand what he is supposed to be on a moments notice. He has grown to be good at figuring out the best way to survive anything, he is somewhat manipulative with his tactics. He doesn't mean to be, he has simply grown to be better fit for survival.
Analytical: Mal often analyzes every situation he is in, and the people who surround him. Taking note of weaknesses, emotions, and more.
Clever: He is a cunning little boy, charming in a way he does not quite mean to be. He can be suave when needed, and then a prankster next. In the art of being clever with both his words and his actions, he can be a master when needed.
Deceitful: He is a fibber. That is it. He sometimes gets so caught up in his lies he forgets what the truth was. Keen on telling white lies here and there, after all, what real harm can it cause? He doesn't seem to understand that lying is wrong. The only time he seems to be truly truthful is when he is telling someone's fortunes. He is wise enough not to skewer the words of gods.
Empathetic: Mallacht is quite empathetic, it is his biggest weakness. Especially when it's a pretty lady, or a pretty man. If he sees someone cry who seems to be unable to defend themself he is often ready to rush into battle for them. It proves to be the one of the only ways someone can get under his skin.
Extroverted: He loves to party, doesn't matter how. He is keen on getting drunk and being happy to partake in things he definitely should not be. While young he has been exposed to a lot more than others, and perhaps it has evolved into being a way to soothe the thoughts in his head. But other than that, he is always happy to chat it up even with strangers.
Foul-mouthed: Man does not know how to filter himself, cussing up a storm constantly. Without someone to teach him to be polite and being exposed to far to many adults cussing he seems to think that is the norm, and now has a habit he just can't break.
Impulsive: Mal is impulsive in nature, quick to rush into anything. Not quite able to stop himself to fully think it through sometimes, and just figuring it out as he goes. This sometimes causes him to rush into dangerous situations head first.
Insightful: Maybe he is just good at reading people, or maybe his bones, cards, and smoke signals don't lie to him. He trusts that the gods give him the ability to read another's fortune.
Intuitive: He seems to be able to read other's emotions quite well, this is both a helpful skill for day to day life and for his practices.
Jealous: Abandonment has affected his life in harsh ways, what affections he does gain he does not like to let go of. Becoming extremely possessive and jealous of anyone that gives him it, and spiteful of anyone that can take it away.
Noncommittal: This seems to be another one of things having his parents abandon him has done to him, he seems to no matter how bad he craves affection, shy away from it. As much as he craves to be around someone his greatest fear takes over and he just cannot commit to anything, as a pup friends suffer from this. There will be few. As a teenager, women and men will find he shrinks away from their attention. Or lets it simmer to be something quick and easy, a night of flirtation and maybe a sneaky kiss, and then he will say it did not matter to him at all. Even if it did, and maybe it was even the best night of his life.
History:
Mallacht was born a bastard child, his father never in the picture. And his mother, oh she was glorious to everyone else, prized for her knowledge and kindness. But behind locked doors, she hated Mal, blamed him for his father abandoning their family. And soon enough she abandoned him, out in the middle of butt fuck nowhere.
Barely old enough to be off his mothers milk and he was already stuck to his own devices, he bartered and followed traders. Hanging onto the only thing his mother let him keep, which was his name and what beliefs she had shared with him.
He continued to grow, not knowing what to do or who to find. All he knew was his families name, and that he would not let himself be abandoned again.
