Life seemed to enjoy playing games once in a while and that's what today would be for lovely Mae. A game of cat and mouse when she fell upon a bear. She tried to stand her ground, but it just didn't work as it's claws came down over Mae who moved too slowly out of the way. The gash wasn't deep enough to leave a large scar. But it left her limping, and blood pouring down over her front leg. Growling at her stupidity.
It was a moronic move on her end, to try and gather some herbs without another close by in such strange lands. It was strange if she was going to be honest. But it's her fault that now she limped. Each step causing pain shooting up more than half of her leg. A slow whine slipped from her maw.
⌠ the brute was just passing through when he smelt the tangy scent of blood. and hellborn. his eyes narrowed as he pondered approaching, but after hearing a whine, he went forward to find the familiar frame of Mae. his previous pack mate months ago, the memory of it like a make-believe dream. impossible to where he was now- both an alpha and husband with many children. "Mae." he approached her slowly, unsure of her still as he ventured closer. his nares flaring as he sniffed, understanding a bear was responsible. he went right to work then, seating himself as he called out to her. "Please, allow me to look it over. I have some things on hand." his eyes watched her, eyeing her limp and leg the most as he waited for her to approach. ⌡

but here he was, looking to the woman known as mae. "Erebos." she wished she could stand to greet him how her prior alpha should have been greeted, but couldn't. her leg was killing her. when he told her to lay down she did, so he could look over her wound. "Wish we didn't run into another under these circumstances. Tell me it's not as bad as it feels. what can be done?" offering a smile or attempting too. she harbored no ill feelings to erebos. he seemed healthy and happy. smelling of a pack as well.
1/3 Healing lesson
⌠ although widow wasn't on the best of terms with the dunamis, he wouldn't put that in between helping a former packmate. Mae had been a sweet yearling. "Of course." he assured her without hesitance, coming to close their distance as he didn't want her straining any further. he sat near her then if she allowed it, his nose sniffing the wound some more as he looked closely at it. her gash was large and still dirty. so first, he needed to clean it.
seating himself near her leg, he grabbed his vodka bottle from the satchel that now sat on the terrain. "I need to disinfect it with alcohol. this is usually best for any raw wounds that are fresh as yours is. brace for the sting." he warned briefly, bringing the vodka bottle up to view before pouring it onto her leg with skillfully steady paws. "try to hold still." ⌡

⌠ as she braced herself, he went ahead and poured the vodka onto Mae's wound. dousing it completely before he put it down. he would then grab gauze from his satchel to clean it up. once prepped, he would then plaster antibiotic paste onto the wound with his paws. his hand-dandy mixture. "It'll stain orange a bit as it's made from mostly turmeric. my favorite spice- it's perfect for healing inflammation and preventing infection." once this was done, he placed it all back in his satchel. leaving on bandages out. "Gonna wrap you up." he said, coming to roll the cloth over her leg as best as he could without causing her any more pain than she was in. "That should do it." ⌡

Just like a white winged dove She offered a smile as Erebos worked his magic, not really magic for a healer. But others could consider the skill magic. Learning all different herbs and everything and what they could do was amazing. And was able to help others in desperate need. The woman watched him work as he did placing the paste upon her leg, then pulling some gauze and making sure to place the bandage securely but not over secure upon her injured leg. "Thank you Erebos." The slate and obsidian woman spoke out gently. Her tail danced around behind her for a brief moment as she sat there, moving her leg. Placing small amounts of pressure to it would also help set the paste. Walk, "Talk", Think |
⌠ she thanked him and it was clear neither held any opposition towards one another. good, he liked it that way. no need for any of the anger widow had, nor the crowds she'd try to rally up against him. kind and polite, he knew his impression was good. he rose to stand then, looking at her with a relaxed face before then saying, "No problem, mae." he lowered his head then, offering her support to stand if she desired to. "be easy on yourself. you need any directions home?" he asked, his voice cool and balanced while he looked at her then. his handsome face effortlessly there as he awaited her reply. ⌡
─
Just like a white winged dove Mae sat there a few more moments, lifting her leg carefully only to place it down upon the earth below them both. She never had a reason to rally against any one, except those that may harm her or those she cared about. Offering a smile towards Erebos. The tension and pain within her leg easing due to the presure bandage placed upon her pillar was a major help. As she rose up a bow of her cranium was given. "I have to be, and got to remember there are much bigger things that could also take us out without us knowing." She couldn't help but chuckle. "You also, and be safe. Until next time Erebos." She turned and started on her way home. Walk, "Talk", Think |
⌠ she was pleasant and easy going. their interaction was smooth-, and it was no doubt these two had the potential to be friends. he wondered if widow would object and she most likely would, so maybe it was best they didn't share the session. alas, their encounter would come to an end then. with Mae all healed, there was no other reason to stick around. so as he watched her stand and say her farewells, Érebos nodded back. offering her a brief smile as he watched her set off home. "Safe travels, mae." he would turn and head back, galloping back to his pack. ⌡
