Run rabbit run

Ursus was not made to fit within the smaller confines of the thicket. Traversing through the wooded area forced him to crouch and move slowly, but the delectable scent of rabbit could not be ignored. He was a rather large wolf, largest of their kind, and keeping him fed was always a task. If he couldn’t get any large game, it often took several smaller prey animals to satiate his hunger. Today, his goal were these rabbits. At least three of them, maybe more if he were lucky.

Though he had trouble fitting within the thicket, its closely tangled vines and branches also meant that the rabbits had limited pathways. Taking his time, he located the area of their warren without being noticed. Having enhanced eyesight did come in handy from time to time. Now, he would just need to find a spot just outside of the thorny tunnels leading from the warren to dig a hole deep enough to make a pitfall trap…
