A sigh of boredom left his lips. The pack seemed to have dulled down some the past few weeks, and he constantly found himself with nothing to do. Today, he found himself wandering the territory in search of someone to play with or something to do. His mother was always busy, and he wasn't quite sure what his brother and sister were up to, so perhaps he would go out and see what his other siblings were doing. He hadn't really gotten a chance to get to know the others save for Irune, nor any of his other family for that matter. Hopefully, someone would be willing to play or explore or do something around here. The snow was amusing and all, but it got boring when there was nobody to share the fun with.

He came upon a fallen log, snow littered the top of it despite the slightly warmer air of Spring. But the frigid Northern mountains kept everything littered in snow and cold air. He remembered the encounter he had with the Valhallan, Cormalin. Rin found him to be the nicest person he had ever met, and wanted to grow up to have similar morals and values. He wondered what the morals and values of his other siblings would be like, and what they thought things should be like. But alas, he figured they would all want to grow up to be like their Father, and granted so did Rin, but just a little bit different. His thoughts carried him forward, and Rin would bring himself into the log and sniff around. Hidden within the shadows of the moss and possibly bug filled log.

Winter had gone on it's merry way but still the north was cold. Spots of snow scattered the ground as did the frost cover the branches of the pine's. Though little buds were poking through in which the youth could see clearly within the new lines of life. It was his first time experiencing spring. The small buds only told him that something was growing. After all he had seen the strange colors of changing autumn when he was first born. The slate blue boy easily went through the small amount of snow that was left as his emerald eyes left the buds to their own devices. Certainly his life had slowed down from all the excitement himself. Aside for now the scar that wrapped around his left forelimb. The marks of when a wolf attacked him on the borders, tearing through his flesh and it had been the first time he had experienced true fear until his father came to save him. It was only then he had realized how helpless he was, and how he needed to stay out of everyone's way as a prince of these lands until he was strong enough to protect them. While he was strictly on neutral portions, he never thought anything his father did was wrong like a lot of others assumed. There were words that he heard from Guinevere. Was that people feared power, but Vereux didn't entirely want to be feared. If he were to be strong, he wanted others to follow him because they wanted him to protect them. Those words had come from a Valhallan, only filling his head with those thoughts, and how much longer it would take for him to impress his father. Even when his mother had gone missing, and now his father had taken on his sister as duchess. Somehow, he was still searching for a place, as the prince would enjoy.
Though his connection of thoughts would be stopped, as he heard something inside of a nearby log. The blue boy tilted his head, sniffing the air to catch the scent of another wolf. And no doubt a boy just like himself. The scarred pup made his way over to the log, carefully placing his paws on it as he climbed on the top of the dead thing. He placed his head upside down at the entrance, to find a small body stuffed into it. Vereux smiled flicking his tail back and forth, he didn't often get to spend time with other pups that was for certain. He hadn't met much of his family, even though he knew that they were of many. He wanted to protect his blood, because they were important. "Hey, why are you in the log?" He asked raising an eyebrow to the brown boy.

The voice would catch him by surprise, the youth startled and bumped his head at the top of the log when he jumped a bit. Translucent green eyes staring at the face of who he recognized to be just one of the many brothers he had. His tail wagged a little behind him, thumping dully against the inside of the log. "Nothin' really...just explorin' a little. What're you doing on top of the log?" He inquired with curiosity, hidden feelings behind open eyes. He would push away thoughts that were eating at him for some time before they crept through. Was this brother nice? Or was he a mean and rude one like Genesis had been before? He hoped not, because Rin didn't want to deal with any rude kids around here. Much less talk to them, but perhaps this brother was different.

Vereux looked at Rin, as the small boy sat inside the log. He smiled, and giggled a bit until his paw slipped on the edge of the log. He fell head first and flipped onto his back. With a small oof leaving his lips he then realized Rin was upside down. His green eyes lightening to the darkness of the log. Vereux flipped himself over, folding his front paws sort of hiding the scar on his right leg. A bit scared that the boy would notice and think of him as weak.
"I saw you go in it, so I went over. My name's Vereux, are you another brother?" He asked. Vereux was never rude anymore, it was his job to make his family feel comfortable. They were important weren't they, it wasn't like he would hold any position of power even if he wanted. Not unless he just happened to get stronger.
