You're a deviant, just like me
He was itching for a fight, and one that wasn't with a sibling or other syndicate member. He needed to learn how others fought if he wanted to be the strongest and the smartest. Of course Absinth and Aresenn had a lot to teach, there was nothing like real world experience and he was certain that they would agree with him. His birthday was coming up and soon he would be either indicted into the Syndicate officially or if he wasn't deemed ready, forced out until he could prove that he was. What if he could never prove himself, never return to his home with his family? He didn't like the thought of it, but it picked and pulled at him almost constantly.
Maybe getting out and seeing the world would be a good thing? It was only experience after all, and maybe he wouldn't be the only one. Would he want to tag along with his siblings though? They could just drag him down, or ride on his proverbial coattails. His siblings certainly hadn't seemed like slackers, especially not since Indica's death, but he didn't want anyone getting lazy while he did all the work. If he was going to do it all, why not just do it alone?
His thoughts wandered as he traveled to the battlefield, wasting no time upon arrival to call for a challenger.
