The sun bathed the battlefield in its golden light, yet the heat was not unpleasant. The world seemed to be cooling off in the lands of Boreas. Chilling to a more comfortable state. With each step onto the battlefield, he felt his muscles growing tighter, adrenaline already coursing through his body as he mentally prepared for the onslaught he would unleash upon his soon-to-be opponent. Above him, Skotos and Thera circled him, their sharp gazes scanning for danger or any who would approach Hades before he let his challenge be known. But soon enough, Hades found himself in a nice little clearing. And with that Hades lifted his head, letting out a summoning for an opponent that boomed across the nearby area. And so Hades waited, unwavering in his confidence, and completely ready for the thrill of battle.

THAT'S WHAT I HATE!

Xairo's ears perked up at the sound of the challenge echoing across the battlefield. A wicked grin spread across his muzzle. He surged forward, powerful muscles rippling beneath his coat as he bounded toward the source of the summons.

As he neared the clearing, Xairo slowed his pace, green eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of his opponent. It was a boy, younger than him. Xairo's eyes glinted with malice as he appraised the younger wolf. The boy radiated confidence, his posture upright and his gaze steady, but Xairo could see the naivety in those mismatched eyes. He was just a pup playing at being a warrior.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" Xairo drawled as he sauntered into the clearing, his voice dripping with condescension. "A little whelp who thinks he's ready to play with the big boys."

Hades eyes narrowed as he watched the form of a stranger approach him, the scent he now knew was the Syndicate heavy on his fur. His lip lifted into a malicious grin, eyes replicating the same glint his opponent had except it was replaced with a sort of unhindered violence. One he had not learned to control. His scar on his shoulder was a testament now, to all he could endure. "I have fought, and beat larger than you." He growled back. He was not as naive as others believed him to be, they did not know of the trials his family put him through; all in the name of growing stronger, and he had. He would learn the very meaning of strength, he would become it, someday.

"Now, are you all talk? Or will you actually put those teeth to use?" he spate back, although his eyes were alight with a sort of playfulness even if it was a blurry mix between it and aggression. Hades did not give the yearling before him much time to answer the question he asked, soon enough he was practically flying towards him. Large paws gain traction as he aims to collide with the bastard before him, chest to chest. Then without missing a beat, his teeth lunge for the throat of Xairo. He was eager to spill blood today, whether it be his own or his opponents he did not care.

Xairo's eyes widened in surprise at the sudden ferocity of the attack. He had underestimated this pup's aggression. At the last moment, he twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the full force of Hades' charge. Still, the impact sent him stumbling sideways. Recovering quickly, Xairo snarled as he felt Hades' teeth graze his throat. The older wolf's instincts kicked in, and he lashed out with his own jaws, aiming for Hades' side, hoping to find purchase with his elongated fangs into the kid’s hide. All the while, trying to use his larger size to his advantage, Xairo attempted to throw his weight against Hades, in an effort to knock the younger wolf off balance.

His opponent lashed back with the same brute force and Hades felt his body scream for release, to let the leash of control go. And Hades was not one to deny his instincts, as Xairo's teeth found Hades's flesh he felt himself grin. He wore a manic expression as he turned sharply. His teeth lashed out as he aimed to grab ahold of the supple flesh of Xairo's thigh, before ripping back hoping to tear through flesh. He wanted to be sprayed with blood, coated in the sickening scent of gore. Victory did not matter if he could not taste it.

Then he pivots away from Xairo, moving away from the brute force of the vermin before him. Teeth lashing at the air before him in warning before he stands on his back legs, pulling his left arm back with all the force he could muster as he aims a merciless swipe at his opponent's neck and face.
