Hades strode through the battlefield, the scent of metallic blood a welcoming scent to his nares. He felt powerful amongst the dried grass that grew in the Battlefield. His eyes briefly flicked to Skotos as he soared high above them, his sharp cries slicing through the silence. Thera meanwhile, glided low, her feathers mere centimeters from brushing the top of the grass. The young Dunamis prince stopped at a small clearing. His claws dig into the earth, as he lowers his head. Hackles raised as he readied his defenses. Before letting out a thunderous call for an opponent. He was ready for what was to come, ready to topple his opponent or learn more to topple whoever came next. Backed by his companions and braced by the armor and weapons his body harbored, he felt unstoppable. Now, he was just anticipating the battle that was sure to come.

Astaroth knew she ought to be more prudent in choosing who to spar with, but when the youngster heard the voice of another pup ringing out across the lands, she felt she had to answer it. With so much uncertainty these days, it made the girl feel even more dedicated to honing her skills. She knew she was young and inexperienced, though that knowledge only fueled her desire to grow stronger, more capable. Nothing would stop her- she'd see to it.

Already strong muscles rippling beneath her pale coat, the Abraxas made her way to the source of the sound. Drawing closer, she was glad to see that her initial impressions were correct. The voice belonged to a boy that looked a bit younger than her, though not by much. Hazel eyes scrutinized him for a long moment before she spoke. "You wish to spar?"

Abraxas be my guide, she thought to herself before swiftly aiming to charge him.

Paying little mind to the companions by his side, or to the accessories he wore, she was laser-focused as she barrelled at him head on. Not quite advanced enough for intricate tactics, she'd fight exactly as she knew how, parted jaws aiming to clasp down on his shoulder and hoping she could use her weight to force him to stumble.

Hades stared on, eyes blazing with a mixture of delight and trepidation. Taking in the girl that approached him with scrutiny that mirrored her one, she would be wrong to underestimate him. He was already battle hardened, forced to be stronger by his family, shaped to be smarter. ”I wish to battle, yes.” he confirmed bluntly. He gave a quick nod to his companions letting them back off for the moment.

Her belief in her own strength and abilities was at the core of her attacks. Astaroth didn't tend toward being a tricky fighter; she wasn't the most agile of wolves and she much preferred a straightforward fight, without fluff. Maybe because she was still such a novice, but it helped to focus on the basic attacks and trying to master them.

Her opponent seemed as eager to fight as she, and his enthusiasm pleased her. At least he'd be an good challenge! She landed her first attack, at least briefly, but without much warning he was rising up on his hind legs. He was bigger than her, and his strength was impressive even with his age; she tried to push hard into the attack, not wanting to lose her balance. His paws were powerful though and sent her stumbling.

Aiming to recover, a playful growl left her throat as she lunged back at him. Trying to use her slightly smaller size to her advantage, she'd aim parted jaws at the scruff of his neck, hoping to grab hold of the skin there and give it a good shake.

Batting her away had been briefly effective, but the girl before him was stubborn. it was a quality he rather enjoyed. She lunged for him again, the playful growl bringing a soft smile to Hades's lips as she grabbed hold of his scruff. But he is not going down without a fight, his left leg moving as he aims to slam his paw directly into her forehead. Not hard enough to be too painful, it was more to bat her away and make her drop him. He did have to give it to her, she was a decent fighter; maybe not as good as a Dunamis, but decent.
