Today was a wonderful day to be alive, not that anything in particular had happened, Hazard just thought every day was a wonderful one. Even when the horrible bad things happened, Hazard managed to find the silver lining in anything. Today found the rotund tootsie roll looking for a place to call home. She wasn't sure where, but wherever she landed first, that would be it - no matter what. Even if they happened to be evil or ugly-mean, Hazard would bet there would eventually be a need for a caretaker.

Coming up to the border of what looked to be a promising place to lay her head at night, Hazard sat at the edge of the territory and ignored the heat of the day and admired the verdant greens and yellows of the garden. Yes, this was a good place to grow, she could tell. She may not know much of the lands here, but she did know enough to not trespass in another's territory. Throwing her Hershey-brown head back, the coffee-colored woman let loose a howl for the lady of the house. It was her scent freshly on the border, so that is who Hazard called to. Humming to herself, the brown woman waits patiently for the leader.

Bellatrix

Another day of border patrols and keeping her pack in tip top shape. She was working on moving the quails pen so they could graze better when a call for her sounded. A sigh. She'd have to get to them in a minute.

As soon as she had the pen and all the quail checked she was moving. Her vest and dagger worn and a tinkling of bells told her Frank was at her heels. As she appeared she gave a smile to the rounder chocolate faced woman. "Hi, Bellatrix Ravenwood, Artifex of Norad,  what can I help ya with?" a easy way about her as she settled on her side of the border.

It didn't take very long to hear the approach of another, Hazard's bright eyes greeted by the pink, blue and white form of what had to be the smallest wolf she had seen so far! What a shock it was to short, round Hazard to finally meet someone smaller than her! A wide smile crossed the tootsie-roll's face as she waved her tail behind her, making her chunky frame wiggle in place as she sat before Bellatrix. "Hello! It is good to meet you, Bellatrix. I'm Hazard!" The rotund woman wiggled in place some more, barely containing her energy and excitement. "I am here looking for a home. My skills lay more in the baby-sitting realm, but I can hunt - obviously - and I am pretty okay at healing!"

There was no reason to believe she would be denied a home here, but there was always a chance. Hazard never really allowed herself to think like that. She had a bright side of life outlook on nearly everything. Was she nervous? Maybe a little, some wolves didn't like strangers - she had learned that the hard way a couple of times. Either way, this was the first pack she had come across, and she liked the look of the place. Maybe she could be valuable here, after all, she had a lot of weight to pull.

Bellatrix

The way the other became excited by her wasn't lost on the smaller leader. She was well aware that she was short and had a lot to live up to when it came to being a leader. Her father had been a great man and both her mentors were great men too. She seated herself on her haunches as the other introduced herself and Trixy gave a nod. The next words were ones that Trixy needed to address though.

She waited for the other to finish speaking. She had seen Gav's brother Ikuchi and how he had no use hunting but was a sweet enough guy. "Welcome to Norad then Hazard. But lets speak of how your training with these skills is, so I can place you fairly and we can get you settled in a proper position that interests you the most." That easy smile stayed as she stood and gestured for the other to step over the border and join her in the gardens.

Hazard's bright eyes roamed over the the little pixie woman, in complete awe of the other. How did one get so small? The coffee-colored woman smiled happily as Bellatrix welcomed her to Norad. The obese lady stood and crossed over the border into her new home, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly as she savored the fragrant air of the gardens. Yes, this was a good home. Plenty of herbs - for cooking and healing - something that those bright eyes had sorely missed.

"I don't have any formal training in either skill set, my mother was an herbalist in my home pack. I've picked up a few things from her. As far as hunting goes I have a rather large appetite, and that alone is motivation. Plus, I like to cook - sometimes healing and cooking can be one and the same." The tones of the woman were bubbly and excited, realizing she may have been rambling. The chatter-box hushed up, but already there was a question forming on her lips. "What does our Norad stand for? How can I help to achieve our goals?" Was it our so soon? It was. This was her home now, and she would jump in with all four paws.
