strategies

to write. and also another question.
so i'm curious if anyone else has any strategies to writing? i always seem to do better when i start with jae's response to what the other character/s have said, and then build the post around the responses. and of course music always helps with the muse juices xD
and the other question - does anyone else feel like their character/s have a mind of their own? because i can assume what will happen in a reply, start typing, and then by the end of it i'm like,
how many of you have had this happen?

I base my writing off of Cormac McCarthy's style a lot.

I never know what a character is going to do until I write it out. I usually have theories, but it all depends on what my fingers do, xD
I also tend to focus my roleplaying around dialogue and body language/movement.
