OOC:: ok so i'm doing this as though Gargoyle and Oceana have only just left or something and she doesn't yet know that they might not be coming back.

Oracle pranced along the sand the last few months had been painful her bones had stretched and pained at one point she had ended up confined to the den with a fever, honestly it had been a half drugged blur as Aunt Merci had tried to keep her pain free. When she was aloud out she had limped and stumbled, but today was a good day a day where she had no pain no limping and most importantly no fever. Ma and Pa had gone off somewhere with the warning that she shouldn't over exert herself, but oracle had shrugged it off the growing pains came and went and she was determined to enjoy the time she had between them.

Currently she was 34 inches tall and she had heard murmers that she was probably going to get even taller. But she wasn't thinking about that at the moment she was looking for fun, stumbling slightly over her long legs she raced down the beach at top speed covering the distance in massive mostly graceless bounds her tail trailed behind her and she laughed letting her joy ring from her body as before her tiny crabs scuttled into their burrows the clouds above raced along with her and she giggled again. She did not see the brown patched and black stripped male in her path until it was to late, she dug in her claws but she was still getting used to the new length of her legs she dug in to far and they acted like leavers flipping her over she slid another meter or to then stopped her stomach pointing skywards in front of the man.

For a moment she lay still shock across her face checking that she was ok, then certain that there was no pain she tilted her head looking up at the male, ?hi,? she said grinning widely, wiggling slightly in the hole she had created ?who are you?? her grin was still in place, she knew this wolf was a friend of aunt merci and so there was no reason to be fearful.

ooc// lol Oracle would be about 6ish months, not quite at 34" yet x)

Peaceful was the day along the beach, though Knight's thoughts were quite the contrary. He had been so focused lately on trying to figure out where Mercianne's daughter Kestrel could be, that he didn't notice the puppy coming towards him. He had been standing, gaze towards the sky and his notrils filled with the scent of the oceans water as he tried to figure out how to fix the dilemma. It was then that he felt something slam into his leg, and the Knight jumped a few inches in the air and back in complete surprise. His hackles stood on end as he glanced wildly around for his attacker, until he realized it was one of the Snow rogue pups that was usually with Mercianne. Allowing his fur to lie flat again, he took a relaxing breath before approaching the pup. His ears perking forward as she asked him who he was.

"Hello, I'm Knight Cloud...you can either call me Knight, or you can call me Cloud." He would offer a relaxed smile, after all, there was no reason to be stiff and hostile around a pup. On top of that, he adored pups. They were always so innocent...most of them anyway. He knew this one to be part of the rogue family that wandered the cove, but he had yet to see this one's parents. He wondered where they were, or if Merci had simply adopted her as her own child. He placed himself onto his belly, tail stuck straight out as he lied down like a sphynx. Forest green gaze watching the girl upon her back. "What's your name young one?"

OOC// i'm bad with timing all the change of season sort of through me, still i dialed back her mental age a little. sorry if its a little scatterbrained.

Oracle

Oracle tail beat the sand as she flipped herself back on to her stomach, ?I'm Oracle,? she replied joyfully, ? are you a real Knight? I played knights and dragons with my sister and our older brother he beat me but I got rabbit meat so it wasn't so bad.? she stopped for breath taking a gulp of air as she stood up the sun glinted off her black back and she shook herself head to toe trying to remove the stray sand grains from her coat. ?ma went off to find da, he's been gone a while, but they'll be back soon,? she said smiling. Tilting her head to the side she asked, ?do you know my da he used to rule glaciem before we came here?? she had heard the stories of glaciem and how wonderful it had been, honestly she didn't know why they had left no one seemed to like to tell that part of the story.

Oracle didn't wait for a reply but continued on giving a running commentary on her family ?Odette and Galahad wandered off too; their my sister and brother? she informed the man as if it explained why she had just almost wiped him off the beach. She gave a little huff and kicked at the sand beside the indent she had created causing it to tumble in filling the hole ?i thought they would wait for me but, I guess they didn't think I would be out today.? she didn't lift her head as she kicked a little more sand into the hole, a little disappointed look crossing her face her ears falling a little and her tail was reduced to a subdued waging.

The shallow hole was almost filled and she stood on it pressing a small paw print into the loose sand, ?I wanted to play hide and stalk but I can't now, you need at least two people to play? suddenly her head came up and she looked at the man, an idea forming in her mind ?have you ever played hide and stalk mr knight?? she asked, ? Its a good game, I could teach you the rules? her ears where pricking up again her tail beginning to beat, then a thought came to her he was an adult he was probably doing something, adults where always busy. Her tail dropped a little, ?if you want that is,? her eyes where hopeful as she watched the man laying in the sand.'please, please, please,' she thought.

OOC// According to Wynn, Odette is about 9 months or so now. So I think Oracle should be around that age too :)

A smile would come to form on his lips after making sure the girl was alright. Calm green gaze upon her as she greeted him with her name. He was impressed by the enthusiasm this little one had, but it would come as no surprise. It seemed all the pups of Soulsand cove were as vibrant. Though she seemed to be more so. Then again, she was the only one he had really met. He would take on a thoughtful look when she asked if he was a real Knight. In a way, he always thought he was. His father naming him as such so that he would become like that. Noble, wise, strong, and kind. So far, he had accomplished at least one or two of those traits. So he'd nod, confirming what she so desired. "I am a real Knight. It is nice to meet you, Oracle." He listened with amusement as she went on about the games that she played with her siblings once upon a time.

His smile would only grow wider, this child was certainly full of energy! She talked fast, and she talked with lots of excitement. He hadn't even had time to answer the question she had for him about her parents, and it was quite interesting and sad at the same time. Her parents had gone, and they were left alone. How could they do that? Were they left in the care of Mercianne? Or perhaps the older siblings? But it seemed even the older siblings had disappeared. And it was apparent that there was no defined time frame as to when any of them would return. He felt sorry for the kid, would she ever know and understand?

At last she finished, his green gaze observing her. A fondness seemed to form between them, and briefly he'd lean forward to sweep her cheek gently with his own. "I don't know who your parents are, nor do I know of Glaciem. But I can play with you, if you promise me one thing." He stood, shaking his pelt free of the sand that clung to his belly and tail. Tilting his head slightly, his green eyes dancing he looked at her. "You must teach me how to play your game first!"

Oracle was somewhat surprised by the affection but she did not shy away from it . She was also a little saddened to learn that he didn't know her mum and dad or about glaciem she loved the old stories and would happily have put aside her game for a story, but he was willing to play joy returned to her small face though she tipped her head to the side watching as he stood, there where always conditions and she waited for the normal don?t wander off, or go to bed early. She did a little dance for joy when he finished his sentence she liked him a lot though she wondered how he had missed playing it as a kid it seemed like such normal puppy game. Still ?I can do that,? she beamed dancing a few steps back, ?its easy you see one of us closes their eyes you first,? she gently nudged his shoulder encouraging him to cooperate, ?then you face away,? she gave him another nudge trying to push him so his face was towards the sea, she took a step back admiring her handy work, ?and then you count to twenty, and I go hide, and no peeking, if you peek its no fun at all and I get to chase you down the beach instead.?

she started to back away already looking around for a hiding spot, ?when you get to zero you have to find me and pounce on me, but it wont be easy I?m a really good hider,? she grinned. She waited for just a moment to see if there where any problems it was a simple game easy to remember the rules for though they changed slightly whenever the game was played, making up rules that suited the cause, they never varied to far from the basics. She waited for the counting to begin, the beach was pretty bear and though she thought she could probably make the tree line in time she knew her tracks would give her away if she just ran pel mel up the beach. A rotting log lay near its trunk maybe big enough for her to fit into it lay at the low tide mark along side large piles of smelly seaweed and rotting sea creatures, the largest of these piles lay further down the beach she could roll herself up in its slimy coat and hide in plain sight her scent hidden by the reek it created. At the low tide line the beach began to change into a rocky slurry. Two choices and she had to decide which one would hide her best she hesitated a moment then took off moving as lightly as she could manage. The shallow footprints she did leave in the sand partially brushed by her tail would show an observant wolf that she had headed towards the log before they faded away on the rocky ground.
