He had only just turned two years of age, a mere season after meeting his mother again. She had met her demise from the claws of someone from Glaciem. Not only her body defiled but the pain it looked like she had been in nearly drove the man off the edge. His red eyes were bloodshot from crying, the pain in his joints continued as did his drowsiness from the depression he had fallen into. It was first when the incident with Newt started, then there was Taurig and Isar, only straight after to find his mother dead. Hajime hadn't been able to do shit about any of it and it sucked it scared him even more so. The odd colored man pulled his ears down. Crying again, he had never experienced so much pain in his entire life time.
Not even had he been able to ask his mother to forgive him for killing Tanner his brother. The thought plagued him, she probably hated him, and what did Allen think of all this. And had his mother died with no sense of who she was here. She had been raped so many times before but that time had been the last. The snow covering the rocks as Hajime flopped down covering his snout with his paws as he wept. Tail curling up anyone, anyone at all who could comfort him would be welcome to. But he didn't know how much he could take.

Darkness. It was his constant companion now. It was odd to have it as a companion, when the only times he would see darkness was during his slumber, and not even really then because he would usually dream. But now, darkness was his companion, day and night, everyday, all day. It was a bit unnerving at the beginning. The first few days he would wake up in a cold sweat, unable to understand why he couldn't see anything and Maija would have to explain to him over and over that he was blind. It took about a week or so for the full effect of his new condition to really sink in, but now that he was getting used to it, it didn't bother him nearly as much. It was just another thing that he had to learn to live with.

Mammoth paws pulled the Re slowly through his kingdom, muzzle lowered towards his paws as was custom now, plume sweeping between his hocks, tattered ears swiveling to and fro, listening for anything that might catch his attention. A quiet sobbing not too far ahead caught his attention, pace coming to a halt, skull lifting as scarred nostrils flared, catching Hajime's scent. Curious as to what the young man was up to, the cobalt Re would begin moving forward again, nosing his way through the brush until Hajime's scent became overwhelming. Hajime? Are you alright? Taurig could taste the saltiness in the air and he could only assume that the man was crying. He approached closer, reaching out with his muzzle to hopefully bump it against the man's shoulder.

The blind king was the one who came to him. Feeling a snout on his shoulder, the weeping boy raised his head sniffing. At least he was blind and couldn't see the state he was in, what a horrible thought. Hajime had to get thoughts like that out of his head. His king, his friend, was blind, castrated and there hadn't been shit he could do about it. The same as he hadn't been able to save his mother from such a fate. He bit into his lower jaw himself as shivered slightly trying to raise himself from the weeping position. "Someone from Galciem.....they raped and killed my mother Taurig." it was hard to say, it was hard to think about.
Hajime pulled himself forward, nuzzling Taurig as he wrapped his head around his shoulders. Some sense of warmth some sense of comfort for the man. He was scared, he was tired, sad. "I never told her that I killed my brother. I never could get her forgiveness and just as we had been reunited. I wasn't able to save her, like I wasn't able to save you." He cried. This feeling was horrible. Why did he have to feel this way?
