the bastard had sired spawn, and though he lacked any desire in the raising of the evidence of his ever fertile sperm, he still remained generally close to the den where they were being raised. they would have his influence, after all, morphine couldn't be expected to fuck them up as well as they needed. he had to leave some impression on this land when he departed it again. he had kept himself close to the den in the south where his pups were kept, but found himself wandering a bit further, restless, as they weren't an overwhelming sort of fun yet. the litter held promise, he supposed, the little bastards had to account for something, after all his blood ran through their veins, coursing, filling them with life.

his pallid hues seemed to fit well into the dreary day he found himself facing, the wind buffeting his fur as rain drizzled down slowly. it was warmer in the south, far warmer than the icy temperatures he had experienced in the north. the rain held a chill to it, promising the bitter winter that would soon over-take the land, casting its devastating shadow in its wake. he loved it. his massive head, swung around taking in the land around him, the scene, as it unfolded before his two toned eyes. a new scent, wafted on the wind, billowing gently in the late fall air, and his head turned towards it, almost of his bodies own volition, ears trained to the scent. a command would exit his jaws seamlessly, the tones coming from his maw calmly.

"show yourself."

oo: technically its the last day of fall, and Sperare's in heat during autumn, so many she has that dying scent? xD Thought it would bring something interesting. lol

They were gone, her lovely children, taken away. The woman had been searching under every rock, behind every tree for months and had still not found a single sign of her precious Iniko and Serpahiel. Oh, how cruel the world could be. Adding onto this trouble was rain, a light drizzle that had cast the land in grey tones. The woman would give a small whine, tail tucking in as she stood beside a large boulder, offering a bit of shelter from the rain coming at an angle. She had turned her head so her cheek brushed against her body, a shiver running down her shoulder. "Show yourself."

Eyes would go wide at the voice, from the tones she could tell it was a male. Sperare would gulp, tail only tucking further in, pulling her head away form her body and lifting it to peer over the boulder, spotting a wolf just a few feet away. Slowly she would pull her head down, and like the old her, paws would carry her out from behind the rock, revealing herself to the stranger. Turquiose eyes would look up at the man, ears folding back against her head, awaiting further instructions.

the scent of the retreating smell of a dame's heat, had only added to his natural curiosity at the females smell. he drew another breath, her scent passing over him, not a woman he recognized, though he couldn't suppose to know every dame in the lands. she appeared, a pretty little dame, ivory coat broken by odd gray markings, that enveloped her hips, and forelegs, wrapping around her. a simplistic beauty. she stood there, staring at him, her turquoise eyes capturing his own two toned gaze. stand there, his own stance squared off, he looked at her, his mind wandering, making a decision as for what to do with her.

moving forward, at a droll pace he moved to circle, to take in her entire form with his eyes. measuring her up, taking her in. a dark chuckle erupted from his chest, exiting his maw in a sinister baritone sound. what had the gods brought him? such a tasty morsel. this was going to be very interesting. he would speak, his prodding voice soft but obvious in the command that the wench answer him. he would stop, just to the right of her, coming to stand near her, before he would speak.

"And who are you, mi amor? What's a pretty young thing doing alone, in a place like this, hmm?"

Speech,

Even before he spoke the woman had chills running down her spine, keeping her head low. What did she have left? Nothing, her children, though they were the product of rape, were her most precious treasures, she loved them to death but now they were gone. Eyes would close when he began to circle her, his gaze almost burning holes in her body. He was that type, the one that liked power, being in control. Looking her over, seeing if she was worthy enough for him to deal with or play with at all. Sperare would take a deep breath, quiet till he finished. She'd flinch at his chuckle, dark, deep. Slowly she would reopen her eyes, catching his form standing to her right, an ear lifting off her head to catch his voice. Who was she, and what was she doing here alone. Though tones were soft, they commanded her to answer. "Sperare... I... I was looking for my children." There was no point in lying, he didn't know her and she didn't know him. Perhaps he would help, she just had to pay him back in a way.

whilst the pallid hued dame was a pleasant sight, easy on the eyes, she seemed timid, not at all the kind of woman who actually attracted him. the kind that had fire in their voice, spirit. oh, well, beggars couldn't be choosers, he supposed. he got the feeling that he made her uneasy, which pleased him. she would be a fool not to find herself uneasy around him. she was looking for her children? interesting. perhaps that would be his invitation in..

"children, mm? and who are these 'children' that you seek, my dear?"

the words would be lined with silk, bringing a sarcastic promise, a near quiet challenge. this one wouldn't be walking away, oh no, he had plans forming in his mind for her.

His voice would send another wave of chills down her spine, hairs standing on end. The voices in her head would tell her to shut up and run, run as fast as she could. Eyes would close tightly, head turning away from the man. This felt wrong on so many levels, but here she was, not making a move to get away. Should she tell him her kid's names? Part of her head said yes, tell him, that way maybe if he at least knew their names then he could tell her if he had run into them or not. Then there was the sane part, telling her that "They have strange designs on their pelts like me... browns and blacks... Iniko and Seraphiel." Eyes would open and focus on the ground. Oh, she did it now. "Have you seen or heard of them?" Tones were soft as she turned her head to look back at the man, a hint of hope in her worried eyes.

Did the little wraith realize that she was dealing with the devil. As she spoke of her children he watched her, his cold calculating eyes raking up and down every inch of her pelt. He dismissed her words with a flick of his ivory ears, and looked at her. What a fool she seemed to be. He found himself torn between helping the seeming idiot find the pups she so longed for, killing her, or keeping her around for his amusement. Oh, decisions, decisions.

"I haven't had the, err, pleasure of meeting your... children, but tell me, little temptress. What are they worth to you?"

The question was open ended and he wondered how she would answer. Would this little creature end up being something of a surprise to him?

"Everything!" She would answer, probably a bit too quickly, taking a step towards the male. Ears would move forward, the left one giving a small twitch as she watched him. Those children, though they were the product of rape she loved them as though they were created with love. They kept her together, from going back to that she hated while being stuck in that pack before arriving here. "I'd give up a lot if it meant getting them back." Foolish it was to say to somebody with such an aura, but Sperare needed her children. If she couldn't have them then she would at least be happy watching from a distance as they went on with a better life than she had.
