ooc: I want snow so this place shall have it! xD Super crappy, I'm sorry! Will get better.

It seemed to have become her new favorite spot to roam, to think and relax away from her home. Loccian would sit with her back against the willow tree, eyes closed, taking in long deep breaths of the cold winter air. This was nice, very nice. Slowly she would reopen her eyes, stare off into the land, watching the falling snow. It was beautiful, a relaxing thing to watch. There was a reason though that she couldn't really explain, something about it brought a feeling of relief.

THANK YOU CANTTINA!

It had been so long since Erebos had set foot in these lands. After a brief, tumultuous meeting with his father, he had disappeared. He had needed to clear his head. The vacation had worked - to a degree. The hallucinations had become far less frequent, only plaguing him in especially stressful situations, but the depression remained. A deep feeling of lacking satisfaction, a desire to remain in one comfortable place for days at a time, the absence of motivation to do more than sleep. He was ragged, run-down with the lack of nourishment and happiness. He had been alone for so long.

There was no way to be sure what had brought him back. Natural instinct had moved his feet and returned him to his home, where he now wandered previously unexplored territories, looking for anything to bring back the joy he had found in life when he first came here a year previous. Looking to get back to his routines, to his ability to converse with others. Still, he doubted he would be so lucky. He would never be lucky, never again. Who would be so kind as to help a mentally unstable brute back to his normal state of abnormality?

A vaguely familiar scent caught on his nose, drawing him forward through the woods. He was unsure who it was that lurked before him, but he needed to seek out any possibility of restoring himself. Perhaps this wolf would be the one to help him through. Doubtful. He shook his head vigorously as he picked up speed, coming to a quick halt when he finally laid eyes upon her. What was her name? Would she remember him? He had taught this one to fish, that much he knew. But she wouldn't recognize him the way he was now. His fur was a matted, dirty mess, and a crazed look remained in his eyes. There were no smiles to be had this time.

She would catch movement before she scented anything in the air, a mass of black on the outskirts of her vision. Slowly her head would turn, grey orbs falling upon the figure of darkness with a patch of white upon the chest, those blue eyes. The stranger would not speak a single word, just stood there gazing at the woman with an almost chilling crazed look. Her ear would twitch, the wind around them picking up, throwing the snow about. It made the stare down just that much more chilling.

Loccian would notice something though about the matted man, perhaps it was something in his eyes, or the patch of white on his chest like snow. It felt like she new him, a cleaner young man beneath this dirty one. Suddenly ears would perk up, a look of recognition in her eyes. "Erebos." His name would come out as a whisper, her mind being flung back to the day she met him near a river, he had offered to teach her how to fish but once it was done they had to split ways. Around late spring to early winter.

She would push herself up, not bothering to shake the snow from her coat. The man didn't look too good, a smile nowhere in sight, fur matted, his sides a bit on the thin side. The woman would take a few small steps forward, tail making a swift swing before hanging still. "It's been awhile since I've seen you..."She had to raise her voice a bit higher than she usually spoke because of the wind, her eyes leaving his to look around them. "Seems like it's picking up, come, sit with me." Loccian wasn't even sure if the man would remember her, but that didn't mean she had to be rude, she would invite him to sit with her under the safety of the willows curtain of branches.

So she moved, turning around and walking back over to the tree, slipping through the curtain and taking a sit where she had been previously.

THANK YOU CANTTINA!

After a long stand-off, the sound of his own name sent chills down his spine. No one had spoken to him in months, the concept so foreign it almost seemed brand new. He stood a moment longer in shock that she had remembered him, then relaxed slightly. The tenseness faded from his muscles and he suddenly felt weak on his feet.

He watched her approach carefully, trying desperately to recall her name from his memory. Unfortunately, nothing came. He felt embarrassment at his inability to remember, as though she would know his thoughts and think less of him for them. Erebos lowered his head slightly when she came near, but kept his icy eyes focused on hers. He nodded at her words, and watched her turn, but was hesitant to follow.

The decision was made but a moment later. He needed this, needed to accept and welcome someone's kindness, needed to find himself again. Perhaps this woman could help him. One foot after the other, he stepped slowly behind her until he came to the place she had sheltered and sat beside her. He wished to ask her name again, but found himself unable to speak. Eyes focused on the ground below his paws, he prayed she would break the silence and coax him out of the thick shell he had created for himself.

ooc: ugh, terrible, sorry!

When the man finally took a seat beside her Loccian would take in a long and deep breath, closing her eyes momentarily before reopening them and looking up at the tree's branches that went out and hung down. ?My fishing skills are still not that great after you showed me. I tried in the lake in my Kingdom but after a few hours of trying I had to give up after only catching two.? She would chuckle in a light manner, trying to keep a nice mood around them, get him to talk or do something instead of sit there. The woman was already a quiet one, and this guy was too, so since it looked like he wasn't going to speak up first she had to do something.

Perhaps it was her actual mention of their fishing escapade. Maybe it was just hearing her voice a bit more. Whatever it was, something suddenly caused the realization to flood Erebos's mind. His eyes widened slightly and he turned to face the woman beside him, the vacant look in his eyes replaced by a knowing gaze. Loccian, he murmured quietly. He stared for a moment before turning his gaze on his feet again and sighing.

I'm sorry I didn't remember you.

By bringing up the fishing lesson it seemed as though Loccian brought back something into the man, a look of recognition coming into his eyes. He would murmur her name, then apologize for not remembering her. The woman would simply lift a paw and give a small wave with a smile, shaking her head before chuckling softly. ?It is quite alright, I don't really leave a memory in most minds, not that special and we only shared some fish then a small lesson on how to catch them.? Yes, the woman wasn't offended by him not remembering, after all, thy didn't do anything that would cause him to remember her well. She was like, a filling, not important to what your doing, just taking up space so things weren't so empty or bland.

Should she dare try getting to know him, see what he had been up to, if he found a pack to settle in, usual conversation stuff. "What have you been up to all this time? Find interest in any packs?" Tone soft and friendly, she wondered what was going on in the man's life to make him so quiet, almost as if he was scared of something, or trapped.

THANK YOU CANTTINA!

She didn't understand. She waved off his forgetfulness as the result of a short-lived, unimportant meeting. Something minor. Something forgivable. However, it was something Erebos simply couldn't forgive himself for. Forgetting her was not the natural result of their meeting - he never really forgot anyone when he was in his right mind. His swift decline into depression and his loss of control, those had taken his positive memories and buried them deep within the recesses of his mind.

Another heavy sigh escaped him as he kept his icy gaze focused on his paws. The questions she asked sought a normal conversation, something natural and light. With Erebos, though, the answers would be anything but. If he was to overcome this, he needed to open up. He needed to talk to someone who would listen, to feel like he wasn't alone. Sugar-coating simply wouldn't cut it. He turned to Loccian, a hint of sadness in his eyes.

I left Alacritia for a while. I spiraled into one of my many depressions shortly after I met you, and I couldn't control myself. I fell out of my habits, I began seeing nightmares again everywhere I turned. I left to avoid hurting anyone here while a regained a grip on my life. He offered a sad smile, his embarrassment in admitting his condition apparent. I don't know if I could ever join a pack. Few packs would welcome a wolf as... troubled as I.

Though her questions were light, normal in a way, the sigh from the man and the look in his eyes seemed to give off something else. His answer to her question would prove this, Erebos went into explaining that he had left Alacritia for awhile as a result of spiraling into one of many depressions after he had met her and he couldn't control himself. Immediately she began to wonder if something she did had triggered a memory to cause this, could she have prevented it?

The grey woman would pull herself from these thoughts though so she could continue listening to the man, he had left to avoid hurting others, to get a grip on his life, and then he would flash a sad smile, telling her he didn't think he could ever join a pack, and that few would accept somebody as troubled as him.

She would take in a deep breath, wondering what it was that would cause such a thing to happen to this male. Would she be able to help him, and more importantly, would he even accept it? Even if he was troubled, Loccian was sure somebody would take him in, either to help get him better or to use it against him for their own selfish desires. "That is unfortunate... I apologize for not being able to help you..." She would stare down at her paws, unsure of what to tell the man, and even if she had something better to day, would it upset him, or put his mind at ease?

"If you do need any help though Erebos, I will be here. Seracia would bring you in, help you stay on path..." Though they wren't very close at all, Loccian wanted to be able to help him, maybe become a friend for each other, help each other. "I have my own bits of depression, dangerous thoughts and nightmares that seem to follow me. I can barely even sleep at night, and if I'm lucky I get about four hours at most. The people in my Kingdom helped a lot." Yes, the place she had come to call home had helped her very much, the wolves here bringing up her mood, giving her a chance that she would have ever had if she had been back home. She wanted the man to know somebody would be there to help.

THANK YOU CANTTINA!

It became apparent to him that his problems were upsetting to her, perhaps because she thought she had contributed to them, or because she thought she could've saved him. Don't worry about it. There is nothing you could have done to help. He tried to smile to show that he was fine, and he prayed it showed on his face.

Her mention of having similar issues was intriguing to him, causing his ears to perk as he listened and his eyes to widen slightly. It was nice to find someone else who could at least understand aside from his father... His father. He needed to seek him out, to mend what had been broken. He wanted to know what had become of the rest of their family. Loccian, your home sounds quite nice, and welcoming. But I will have to speak with my father before I make any decisions about my home.

Though he would tell her not to worry about it, that there was nothing she could have done to help, flashing her a smile... Loccian would feel down. She liked being able to help others, something about being able to solve their problems so they could be happy, warming her to the core. She would put them before herself, just so they could be happy. His voice would break her thoughts, making the woman look back to Erebos. He would compliment her home, but he wanted to speak to his father before making a decision for his home. Yes, of course. She completely understood, he wanted to speak to his family before just jumping into a new home. She probably would have done the same thing, but instead of going to her father she would have sought somebody far kinder and actually cared about her. "Of course, I understand." She would give a small nod, her gaze going to the wall of branches the willow created. "Do you know where your father is?"

THANK YOU CANTTINA!

It was nice to have someone, even if only for the occasional conversation or venting. Erebos was so used to his loneliness, but company was welcome always. Normally he went from stranger to stranger, never getting close enough to anyone for it to mean anything. But this seemed different somehow. He had met this woman twice, and while they weren't well acquainted, they seemed to have so much in common. She seemed to be a friend. A true smile would cross his features this time, despite the unfortunate answer he had to deliver in response to her question. I can't be certain where my father is, but he usually doesn't stray too far from the north or the east. I'm sure I'll find him with no problems.

ooc: end here?

It was nice to see the man smile after seeming to be bothered by many things going on, she couldn't tell for sure if it was true or just for show, but either way Loccian felt like she had helped Erebos in a way. Ears would perk up at his answer to where his father was, he didn't really know, but what he did know was that he didn't stray too far from the north and east and he shouldn't have much of a problem finding him. With a nod of her head the woman would glance away briefly, listening to the howling wind before returning her attention to the boy. "I wish you good luck in finding him, and hope you won't forget about me either." She would chuckle in a light manner. "You know where to find me, I'd love to see you again." He was nice company, even if he wasn't too social. An affable guy, at least to her.
