Gitan supposed he wasn?t really supposed to be here, he should probably be back in Tortuga with a report for his alpha on the fighting but he had to do something before returning. His right side was aching some and his chest hurt but the healer from Valhalla had done a good job in helping him on his path to recovery and now that he was tended to? well? The scent marker for Ludicael was growing stronger and the male hesitated. He was a recently injured wolf, more than likely come straight from the fighting of two large packs? not the best guise to be approaching under, but then he didn?t have much choice did he.
Settling upon his haunches he tipped his head back, a call releasing from within him. A name called to the skies so that she might hear him and answer. Symphony. Would she come for him? Much was still a mystery to the man, he was lead to believe that she had some sort of feelings for him, or at least she had stated as much out loud, feelings he reflected in some way? but then it wouldn?t have been the first female to say such things, though generally in Gitan?s limited knowledge it was the men who pledged their love to a woman without truly meaning it.

Pale cream wolfess bustled around in her den.She was taking time to count her stock and think over what she would need before winter officially set in. Atlas sat high in the tree that's roots made her den. His head twisted with beak neatly tucked into his wing as he dozed off. As a naturally night creature he slept late into the day, at least till passed sunhigh. Symphony huffed with mild relief knowing she was well set for winter and yet just needed to grab a new herbs to her piles. She pulled herself out of the den and shook out her fur. Head lifted to look at her companion with a smile before trotting off. There was no need to wake him when he surely needed his rest.

It was well into the day when a call rang out into Ludicael. Ears perked up and heart jumped up to start beating away like she was running for her life. She knew whose voice that was, though she had never heard him howl before. And it was not just for Ludicael but her specifically. She looked about with her soft yellow and gentle blue eyes before grabbing her small bundle of collected herbs and taking off. It took a short while to reach him, having been nearly at the far end of the territory. As soon as she spotted him from the trees she slowed down at a walk. She stopped a few feet away and gently set down her bundle. Eyes returned to Gitan, taking in his presence. At once she noticed fresh wounds but they seemed to have been tended to. She whined softly to him before rushing forwards, tail waving behind her. Her muzzle nuzzled into his neck gently as she drank in his scent. This male made her feel so flushed and hot, made her heart race and skip. She felt safe and right by his side. And after the recently pack meeting and feeling all alone besides Atlas, Gitan's presence was like a blessing.

She pulled away reluctantly to see his face.Gitan what are you doing here? Is..everything ok? She asked softly as she took in the site of his wounds yet again. She shifted nervously, ears twisting back as she gazed into his green handsome eyes with concern. If he was in trouble she would not hesitate to help him.

A natural easy smile would appear upon his face as she approached, his gaze travelling down her form. He had not been sure if the fighting had extended this far out and was glad to see her looking unscathed. He lowered his head some as she whined, giving her an encouraging smile, and then she was rushing towards him. He grunted some as she pressed into him, having to shift ever so slightly. He tipped his head down, tongue running over her head as she nuzzled into his neck fur. He gave a contented sigh, closing his eyes for half a second and enjoying the contact.
Then she was pulling away and he looked down at her. She spoke, eyes flying to his healing wounds and he allowed a small smile. ?I?m sure you?re aware there is fighting between Valhalla and Glaciem. Well Tortuga is an ally and I was allowed to help in the fighting.? He paused for a moment, leaning forward to brush his tongue along the side of her muzzle. ?Don?t worry about me though, I got off easy compared to the others and the Valhallan healers did a good job looking after me.? He looked at her for a moment, studying her. ?I just? I had to see you again, check up on you.?

Their contact was more than just a phsyical touch. It soothed her soul, healed her worries and doubts. Why had she not followed him when they first met? If she had they could have been in the same pack. Able to see one another every day instead of seeing each other here and there. Perhaps she could get him to stay here in Ludicael, at at least till he healed? Even though his wounds would not take long to heal, neither did they prohibit him from carrying out normal duties as a wolf within a pack. His carress along her head could have nearly melted her right there.

She listened to him, eyes growing rounder. Perhaps she should had asked her Sol to go and help aid the other healers in the war. Though if something happened to her, Ludicael would lose their one healer they had, Novel would lose her Aunt. No, the risk was to great for her to go, she had a pack to look after. Though it broke her to pieces knowning she could be offering to help. I should be there to help..I should have been there for you. She muttered softly. Her eyes drifted down to her paws till Gitan brushed a kiss to the side of her muzzle. Again that rushing hot flush engulfed her. Eyes lifted to look but up into his green orbs. Searching, asking, what was this between them that was growing? His last words made her heart skip a few beats.Well, your always more than welcome to check up on me all you want. But...i think its more than just that.. She trailed off, letting him the chance to answer it. She was afraid to ask, afraid that maybe what she thought was wrong. What if he did not have the same feelings as her? Maybe he just felt he had to just check on her, keep tabs and that was simply it.

It was torture to not know what went on in that handsome head of his. And yet the words were right there, lodged into her throat, threatening to vomit out. Muzzle parts for a moment before she let them slip out.Gitan..i love you. I love your handsome body, your calming personality, the fact that i feel safe and right when im with you.. Eyes closed, fearing the verdict he might give. Heart raced in her chest, longing, hoping he felt the same.

He sighed contentedly, drinking in her scent. They would remain like that for a moment, the space between them ever present, ever persistant. Then she would speak, his ears pulling back some he shook his head. ?I would not want you there, when I left Valhalla was losing? I couldn?t bear you being attacked if the enemy broke through.? She looked up at him and he titled his head to the side and gave her a grin. She would speak again and he blinked at her, drawing in her words. There was something more, he had known so for a while but had been almost unwilling to admit it.
She trailed off and he felt as though he ought to speak but unable to find the right words to say. He struggled to find his voice. ?I?? He trailed off finding that the sentence was not forming in his mind. What was it he wanted to say? The silence would extend on and he felt as though he had to say or do something to break it, to let her know that he wasn?t rejecting her, was agreeing. Still nothing would come to him. Thankfully she would speak again.
He watched her as she struggled to find the right words, a small smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. He closed the gap between them, drawing her in to him. He would remain silent for a moment again before leaning down to lick at her head. He moved his muzzle to her ear and spoke softly. ?I love you too.? He had said it, a weight seeming to lift from her chest as he laid his head over top of hers.

He was probably right, if she had gone near the battle she would be utting herself and Gitan at risk. She knew she would not be able to sit by as he fought and might have rushed into war just to be with him. But the feeling of helplessness was still there. She wished she could have helped in some way or another. Perhaps she could visit Valhalla and Seracia and give them some herbs they surely would be in need of right now. She sighed heavily, she felt like she had failed in some way or another. She couldn't help it, it was just the way she was, easily able to offer others her aid. But it seemed here in Alacritis such a thing was rare and frowned upon.

After her comment about him checking up on her, her smile slowly slipped away. She watched him with her bi-colored eyes. Why wasn't he responding, had she assumed wrong? Maybe he just didn't get what she meant? She hated the awkward silence between them with him trying to find words and her waiting. She looked away, shifting uneasily. And then the need to fill the gap made her jaws part and babble out how she felt. With eyes closed tight as she stood there, head bowed slightly as if in defeat. In truth she was, in defeat to her total and overwhelming love for the man before her. It consumed her, stole her thoughts night and day, made her heart race. She could never get over it, it would always be like this.

He pulled her into him, as if knowing saying all she had had put her on the verge of falling and or singing on the cliff edge. His caress to her head made her eyes open just as he whispered into her ear. Eyes widened, the breath she held was let loose, her shoulders sagged in relief. But the most noticeable thing was that her heart felt like it was going to swell and explode. Each beat seemed to pump this new feeling on completion within her. She felt whole, happy, and seeming to find her place in the world. So long as she was at Gitan's side she would be fine. She leaned into him, nuzzling his chest and licking along his neck."Oh Gitan....stay with me tonight? She whispered to him breathlessly.
