She had grown up listening to tales of a large almost impossibly close family. One who may all go their separate ways, but ultimately find their way back to the family. Her father had said as much to her, that he was a vagabond, but no matter how far his feet took him he always turned back to his homeland, and somehow his paws always hit in the path of a long lost sibling. Which is not always bad, he said, he met his mate at that time, her mother and without the closeness of the family Kogyn would have never been born.

But that story is not why this little wanderer had found her way to this side of the world, in fact she did not know why, it was the way her paws took her, nothing more. But for what ever reason she feels compelled to stop her travels, her paws content with the direction that they took her. But why? Kogyn knew nothing about this land. Knew no one in this land, or so she thought. Her father and mother never talked about the land they left, they only said that it was full of a family that she was no doubt going to meet one day, and unbeknownst of Kogyn she just may see that family.

The wild child looked out, her pale blue eyes giving the flowing fields a bland look. It was really a shit hole if you asked her. Nothing but flowing grass, so much of it that it came to above her chest and almost blocked her view. She rolled her eyes at the wind, sniffing at the scent markers that plastered the land. Oddly it was a familiar smell, one that she had grown up with. The scent that plastered the place smelled akin to her fathers, but just different enough for her to know that it was not indeed her father, but just someone close in blood.

She looked dazzlingly at her surroundings, what where the odds that she would unknowingly stumble onto the pack of family? She rolled her eyes, knowing that her father had to have made up the story... But if so why had she come to this forsaken place? She could not stand the grass that she could hardly see over let alone walk through, so if not for the fact that she was for what ever reason fallowing her paws to family than why the hell was she here. Kogyn scaled, her eyes looking at her surroundings trying to decide what she was going to do...

The black, tan, and gray female was out and about on the expanded lands of Valhalla. She had promised her mother that she would stay out of trouble as she visited the mainland, intending to stick to the promise over that morning's breakfast of deer and fish. With a full gut, she had left the island, more than eager to scout the Plains for anything new and unfamiliar. Lo and behold, the girl was not to be disappointed.
As the Gargoyle mini-me looked across the plains (as far as she could, given her height), she noticed a scent that was new and yet...familiar. It was like a memory that came flashing back to her. Warmth only her father's frame could provide slapped her in the face and she immediately began to think. It couldn't be... After so long, did he finally return to the lands she had endlessly travelled? There was only one way to find out.
Odette began to travel through the grass, pressing it down with her body and paws like a snake in the woods. She remained incognito, hoping that she wouldn't be noticed until the very last minute. Bi-colored orbs of red and blue twinkled as she got closer to the source, heart hammering in her chest and ears. When she was within ten feet of her target, she raced through the remaining grasses and broke out into the small clearing.
Her response was one of surprise. She remained stoic, frame tall and evident of Gargoyle's genes in her height. She blinked slowly as she took in the female's figure. Black and white, similar to her brother, Galahad, but she knew this was not a lost sibling...An ear flicked backward and she took a couple of steps back as she softly asked, "Who...who are you?" The memories of her puppyhood days were starting to threaten to overflow in her mind and she had to figure out who this girl was before they did.

Kogyn was just about to turn right around and go the way she had came. She had not in fact went looking for her family, a family she knew nothing about it was only where he paws took her, so she would go back the way she came and then go some place else, seeing some other wonder. But as she was going to turn her body rustling in the tall grass caught her eyes and soon after a tri-colored shape stopped in front of her. She watched as the wolves eyes go from hope filled to surprise. She recovered quickly from the shock but still backed up a few steps and then stammered to Kogyn. The wild child smiled broadly as the wolvens scent reached her nose. It held the smell of the pack but also the under laying scent of the family.

So this very large female was part of her illustrious family. But which branch. She had heard stories of the elder sister, Crusade, the one who basically raised him and his litter mates. About Raven, the brother who first found Rogue and then saddled him with the family pack. Most of all, Kogyn's father talked of his litter mate Gargoyle, the leader of the family's pack after her left for that second time. He, her father said, was the closet being to him, sometimes even closer than his mate. One Rogue had told Kogyn about him, he said that his brother was a strong wolf, one that would do anything for the family.

Kogyn eyed the girl, out of all her fathers siblings, this one could only be the get of one. From her father's description this girl was his splinting image, almost like the big mans twin, if she was not so young. "I am Kogyn. And it seems that fate is laughing at my experience, for," Kogyn made a show of sniffing the air. "We have the same base smell, and thus are family, cousins undoubtedly." The girl said in a dry tone.

Odette's ears immediately flecked back and forth and her brows furrowed. Cousins? Family? What had this female been sniffing? To Odette's knowledge, the only family she had were those that had existed with the Snow Rogues. Even then, the memories were blurry and the faces were hard to place with names only uttered once. She wondered how this female could possibly be related to her.
"How...how are we related?" she asked, cautiously walking across the mental hot coals that symbolized her anticipation. Her nose quivered and she took a sniff of the air that hung in front of her and around the black and white girl. Something was so familiar about her scent and yet, Odette still couldn't place it. Her tail waved behind her once as she asked another question. "And if we are like you say we are, is it by Mama or Papa?" There was still so much Odette didn't know and maybe this girl knew what she wanted to find out.

Kogyn gave the girl a bland look, sitting down she said, "What are you slow? I said we are cousins." The girl tilted her head. a sarcastic smile spreading. This girl seems to know nothing of the family, even less than Kogyn herself. which cant be right, because she would have heard stories, at least something of Rogue, Gargoyle and Rogue where close after all. "Do you know nothing of the family?"

Kogyn got up, her small body swift and flowing as she moved closer to the still unnamed cousin. Her eyes gleaming in sarcasm. She was a sarcastic bitch when she wanted to be. and frankly she wanted to be, this pup was nieve enough to bring out her beast. "Okay, tell me genius, which one do I look like?" She then sniffed the air again, smelling the strong connection in them. "Or better yet be a wolf and smell. The answer in in our scents, which parent do I remind you of?" This game was getting tiring, she had not wanted to to find family, she had only wanted to see the world as her father had, but it seems that fate had other ideas, fate for whatever reason wanted her to meet the long lost branches of her family tree.

But why did it have to be one that knew nothing of the family? What the hell happened to the close knit family that she was always told about, the gargoyle that she always thought she knew would not leave one of his blood to tally in this world alone and without guidance. At least that was what her father told her, but maybe her all knowing father really was not as all knowing as his daughter would like him to be... Or maybe something has happened... "Has Gargoyle really told you nothing of Rogue?" Her sarcasm faded away with her doubt.

She may have been na?ve about the family, but that didn't mean she was a pushover. Odette's hackles rose in defense and a low growl escaped her lips. Her smooth face became scrunched as her brows furrowed even more and a defensive snarl curled around her upper lip. "Do not take my lack of knowledge for stupidity, young one," she growled, red and blue eyes flashing. "For your information, both Mama and Papa disappeared when my siblings and I were just pups! I have no idea where they went, or when they are coming back."
A flick of her tail was evident of the annoyance that had crept in the surrounding air. She rose from her haunches and her ears lowered against her skull as she continued to speak in tense tones. "Gargoyle never spoke of a family as far as I was concerned. My only family was the one I was surrounded by every day in my den. I was never told of my aunts and uncles, so excuse me for being negligent of our related lineage."
She gave a huff and took a few steps back when Kogyn approached her. If her so-called cousin was going to treat her like that after just meeting her, then she wasn't going to have any of it. Ideas of leaving and not looking back rose in her mind, until Kogyn asked a question that showed doubt in the words. Her defenses remained raised, but the growling ceased and she let her eyebrows rise to their normal levels above her opts. "No...Papa never did. I was not old enough to realize how big our family was and he didn't stay when I got old enough to know about everyone. My parents disappeared and I haven't heard anything about them since."

Kogyn watched as the still unnamed female bristle at her sarcasm, it was akin to how a porcupine reacts when you step on its head. Which was amusing, and a known response. Kogyn was sarcastic and blunt; both things known to anger others, but she would never curve her tongue, or sugar coat her words, she says what she means and means what she says. And if this girl was to even remotely become close to her, than she would learn to take Kogyn's harsh words in strides or maybe Kogyn will end up without family again, which at the moment sounded good.

Kogyn was never a family person, being an only child, and then she lost both her parents to a mean bear a season back; so she was a loner, someone who really never had to learn play nice, or how to keep her thoughts to herself. But it came as a shock to know that her cousin also have the same problem as she, that she grew up separated from the family. The only major difference is that Kogyn grew up with the stories of them, and this female have not. Shocker, Rogue was always the one to leave the family for long periods of time wheres Gargoyle did not. It was sort of ironic if you asked Kogyn, the vagabond was around for his child but not the family wolf... Yeah really ironic.

"Well let me enlighten you, cuz. I am the only child of the one called Thaddeus Rogue, the younger litter mate to your father Gargoyle. My mother was pregnant with me before the pack was separated, and was born in a far away land.

"My father was a wanderer, he never stayed in one place too long, and was a loner in those travels, that was until he met my mother in one of his trips home, and when the pack disbanded my father and mother left, and not soon after I was born.

"Father believed that you name shapes you, a philosophy that he learned early in said travels. I was originally name Thea, my father hoping that I would be a gentle and a healer, his little goddess. But as I grew older I was crested something different. Kogyn, for my wild nature, for I always had my paws in any mischief I could find," Kogyn smiled at her then, a wild gleam in her cold blue eyes. "So cuz, what if your story?"

In Odette's opinion, the wild child in front of her was not familiar with manners. She didn't voice it, but surely hoped that if they decided to remain in each other's lives, she would grow a bit emotionally. The Gargoyle mini-me shouldn't have been so harsh with her thoughts, but she couldn't help it. The wolves she had met in the past were polite and never showed honesty in a brutal manner. Another annoyed flick of her tail was given as she continued to keep her guard. What was she going to do with her cousin?
She listened as Kogyn explained the reason why they didn't know each other. Her father, who was related to Gargoyle, left once Glaciem was taken from the large mammoth of a man. She was born and came back, but for what reason, Odette was not sure. Odette was then asked of her story and she calmed down enough to clear her throat and recline to her haunches again. "Mama and Papa weren't in charge of Glaciem anymore when me and my littermates came along. We were born at the beach -- Soul Sand Cove, specifically -- and that was our home. One day, Mama and Papa disappeared and I have no idea where they went. I wasn't able to spend a lot of time with them as a child because of it."
She inhaled sharply and an ear flicked in a random direction. "Galahad and Oracle are my littermates. There was another litter born before us, but I have only met two of them. They, too, disappeared from my life..." Her bi-colored orbs showed a hint of sadness. "I finally met Chrysanthe of Valhalla, who is the Alphess of the pack that currently claims this land you find yourself in. Her brother, Collision, was Papa's brother by adoption, so we are technically family that way. She recently adopted me and now she is my mother."
Odette's defenses lowered a bit more as she continued. "I live in Valhalla, surrounded by Chrysanthe's family. I claim them as my own, even though my biological family is still missing. I want to find them so badly, despite having looked for them and not coming across any of my brothers and sisters." She gave a short huff and sighed. "I still hope that Mama and Papa will come back one day...that will never change."

Kogyn watched the young female as her story unfolded, it was not a uncommon ending to a tale. Hell Kogyn had bits and pieces smiler to it, the missing parentage, the missing family and all that. The only difference would be that this girl wished to find the family she never knew, and Kogyn wished to never find them, but again fate was laughing, right in the black and white scamps face. Not only did she find the get of Gargoyle but also stumbled into the pack lands of another uncles pack lands, which explained why the scent markers seemed familiar, they where Collision's, this was his pack... Well hell, it seemed that it did not matter what she thought or wanted with her family, she had them; like it or not. "So not only do I find a cousin, I also stumble into a uncles pack lands, isn't my luck shitty. What is with out family cuz? Do they breed like rabbits? Ever since I entered this god forsaken feild, all I seem to do is fall over the family I never wanted."

Kogyn smiled at the still nameless girl, but it was a bitter kind of smile, She turned her eyes quickly to the sky, the clouds blowing softly in the sky, the air was fresh but the smell of water was in the air. "There is going to be a storm." A faraway sound entered her tone, much like she was not even there. "It may not be today, or tomorrow but one is coming." She turned her face to her cousin again, the distance quickly leaving her look. "I guess I need some place to weather the storm, what do you say Cuz, you think Uncle Collision will let the wayward sarcastic daughter of Thaddeus Rogue stay some place dry?" If not she would have to find some place quick, and then hunt; for this storm smelled like it was going to be big, and it was going to leave some lasting effects in its wake.

She could sense the storm in the air shortly after Kogyn did. It was something she didn't like too much, for storms usually were forecasts of dangerous times ahead. An ear flicked to the right, the direction at which the storm was coming from. She listened as her cousin spoke, mentioning Collision more than once and her eyebrow rose. "The pack isn't Uncle Collision's anymore. It belongs to Mother now." Odette wanted to make that clear, regardless of what her cousin thought.
A flick of her tail was given as she rose from her dark haunches. "I am sure that Mother wouldn't mind having you seek shelter on these lands. I won't hesitate to assist you in finding a place of safety." A firm nod was given and she turned to trot in the direction of some hidden dens. They were located in a far part of the valley, but the privacy was well worth its location. "I am Odette Adravendi, by the way. You can call me Odette...and I am pleased to know that more of my family is still out there."

ooc: I thought I would rap this up, if you want you can add another reply or leave it as is.

Kogyn watched her cousin, her ears flicking when she told her that Collision was not Alpha anymore. "Oh my bad, Cuz. It must be an old scent marker I smell." She tilted her head then, eying her cousin, she seems to have a stick up her ass for one reason or another, first it about Kogyn calling her out for knowing nothing about their family, than its about the fact that she got the scent markers wrong, hell she did not have her dads nose, so sue her. But you know family was family, she could chose her friends but not those of her blood. Even though she did not mean to find family she guessed she was stuck with them and this uptight girl.

"Well nice to meet you Odette Adravendi." She smiled as her cousin finally gave her name, even though Kogyn gave hers awhile ago. Now that Kogyn thought of it, that was quite rude. For someone who was so uptight it was shocking. But than again... Kogyn shrugged inwardly. Who was she to think anything of it, she was a sarcastic bitch and she knew it, that was how the world went round, so who was she to say how stick in the mud acted.

"Don't sound so existed cuz, I promise I wont stay longer than it will take the storm to pass, I will not over stay my welcome, I am a Rogue child after all, the wonder lust of travel will over take me in no time, then you may never see me again." Kogyn smile at Odette, her face taking on none of the mirth in her voice. She moved forward then, walking past the girl and then further into the territory, "Well, now is a good time as any to see this mother of yours so that I can then find a good place to lay and rest while the storm flows over us." She moved forward a bit more then turned back to look at the girl. "Lead the way, Cuz."
