With the end of the winter, Talvi had found herself exploring a little. The island was after all the home for the little family for now, and currently in fact the blue and silver coloured pup was oblivious to the fact that anyone else could call the place home. Her little life had so far only been spent in the company of her mother and her siblings, no other wolves had been mentioned or sighted and therefore the thought that others beyond her family existed hadn't actually occurred to the young girl.
She didn't wander too far from the den, although she felt perfectly safe she didn't exactly want to leave them for too long. She wasn't an overly clingy pup, though Talvi certainly enjoyed the company of her mother and siblings, even Minos and his sulky ways. The idea was simply to take a little walk and see what she could find. Her mother often returned to the den with food for them, it'd be nice if she could do something for them or even find somewhere really good to show them. She wouldn't be too long.
Apparently Talvi's little venture would end up being even shorter than she had originally planned upon. She hadn't gotten much further before she heard her mother. Her steps paused and the pup turned, her blue eyes falling upon the approaching silvery form of Argent. Remaining in place, it didn't take long for her mother to reach her side, nuzzling against her a little as she received the little lick. ?Talvi, you shouldn?t wander by yourself just yet? The statement, however simple it was still brought a soft frown to the young girls face. The words were understood perfectly fine, but in Talvi's innocent mind, there was no harm in wandering off.
"Why not?" She questioned little head tilting slightly to one side as she looked back up to her mother. "You do." The simply observation had of course been the starting point of her decision to venture, the word was spoken innocently, no spite at all from the gentle scolding she had just received, more curious as to what the problem could actually be in the first place. There was certainly plenty that the girl needed to learn about the world.
Perhaps it wasn't simply that she was so young but also the fact that Talvi had never met any other wolves beyond her siblings and her mother. The family were all that existed in the young girl's innocent mind, there were no dragons there was no such thing as evil. In some ways it was a beautiful and perfect concept, one that should be treasured whilst it could. There was no telling how long it would last, though for now it would only bear a few harmless cracks. ?There are dragons out there, little one, who would love to take you away. When you are big and strong, you will be able to fight them off. For now, I have to protect you,?
"What do the dragons look like?" Talvi questioned cautiously, her voice was a little lower now just in case one of them happened to be lurking nearby. Although Talvi had no proof for such a belief, even with her injuries Argent was still a strong figure in the young girl's mind, there was surely nothing that couldn't handle. All the same, she didn't want her mother to have to fight off these nasty dragons, and she most definitely didn't want to be taken away by one.
