The man would be carried again to the rock garden. he was out looking for food, since the spring had come. Food hadn't been so scarce. He spotted a small mammal lurking behind a particularly large boulder. Magnus crept up behind it silently, his stomach close to the ground. Jaws would open, quick as lightning jaws clasped around it's midsection, he crushed it;s spine with his jaws and it went limp as soon as the sickening crunch reached his ears. It wasn't enough to take back as a meal for himself and Aurora. She'd been eating more than normal. It was strange. But he just let her be. But the mammal would certainly be enough to sustain him for a while.

when he was done eating, he licked his lips, cleaning the blood off. He would stand up again, blue orbs surveying the area. He walked over to a boulder that was low enough for him to simply step onto, then he stepped onto a slightly higher one, then another, then another. It took a good balance to scale the boulders without falling, which he had. He could now see for miles. He sighed, nothing in sight, he would have to walk for miles to find something, and he couldn't smell anything. He would have to be back before night fall. Back to the den. so he had to get a move on.

Muscled legs would lead him back down the way he came. He began to walk, eyes looking for prey. Sniffing the air, to see if he could smell any either.

This was quite an interesting place, the boulders that dotted the landscape having no purpose being there at all. She spotted a man with ebony cloaked legs padding through the field, the sun setting behind him. Silvery white fur would ripple with the muscles underneath, cherry optics fixed upon the man as she strode ever closer to him. Silky lyrics would flow past pink lips, salmon tongue brushing formidable fangs. "Good evening." She greeted the stranger, crown dipping politely as she did so. She began walking beside him, large paws striking the soft grasses of the terra with little to no sound, having learned to walk upon powdery snow as a pup. She was much taller than him, through no fault of her own, but she did not make it obvious. Thick banner would sweep across her tall heels as she walked, holding herself as any royal would. Rosy flesh showed through her thick fur, tinting her immense frame with pink ever so slightly. She looked over to the strange man, waiting for him to react.

Meeting you was fate - becoming your friend was a choice

but falling in love with you was beyond my control.

The woman padded up beside him, and her silky tones reached his sensetive auds. "Good evening" she tipped her head courteously, he returned that tip of the head, and a smile caressed his maw. "And a good one to you too miss. Magnus Bane, and I have the pleasure of being in the company of?" He would continue walking, the female was keeping a steady pace with him, with her long legs she could obviously go much faster. She was really huge, he had thought that Aurora was big, this woman was huge. Unnaturally tall, but he was used to being around taller woman. He smiled, "Well miss, I'm currently out looking fr food for myself and my wife. Her appetite seems to have doubled." He chuckled. He kept up his brisk lope, they could do with food tonight, they weren't too desperate for a meal tonight, but he would need to be successful either tonight or tomorrow.

He took her appearance in stride, the man she was walking with, which was strange but also quite refreshing. He returned a tip of his cranium, and he smiled at her as he spoke. He introduced himself as Magnus Bane, quite an interesting name. He inquired as to her name, and the woman was smooth in her reply. "It's wonderful to meet you Magnus, my name is Skadi Levader." She told him, a soft smile playing at her sharp features. She found it strange he was so nonchalant about their size difference, he walked as if he was used to it. His voice caressed her silvery lobes once more, he explained he was searching for food for him and his wife. She nodded her large cranium, chuckling. "Well if you like I could help you with that endeavor?" She offered, fixing her ruby pools upon the features of her companion.

The woman replied swiftly to his question. Skadi. a nice name. it felt sort of foreign. then again, no one knew exactly where his name originated from. norway maybe? but he had no clue. as far as he knew he had no connections to norway. but he let his mind float back to the albino behemoth beside him. As her words reached him again a smile crossed his maw. "Well miss Skadi, that would be lovely." he grinned sheepishly. He kept on trotting to see if he could catch the scent of anything on the wind. He certainly hoped that this trip would be successful. but at least now, his chances of finding prey were doubled.

The male was kind enough to take up her offer, and she smiled, nodding her head in assent. Lifting it, she scanned the surrounding land to find something they could bring back. The scent of a herd of deer in the distance caught her attention, and the femme turned to her companion. "How do you feel about deer? I'm sure by now there are fawns we can catch." She murmured, gesturing with her broad, regal muzzle in the direction the scent wafted from. It should be pretty easy, she had already taken down a dying fawn on her own, abandoned by it's family. Ruby optics fixed on the features of the dual toned man, she awaited a reply. Massive paws struck the terra as soundlessly as ever, her thick silken pelt moving as if she planned the swaying of every hair. Occasionally the light would catch the scars on her forelimbs, but she paid them no heed, they were too old for her to care about them anymore.

For every one stride the albino behemoth was taking, he was taking two. He might have been working harder, but he wasn't tiring any more than normal. He knew that the woman could easily overpower him. He may have been a good fighter, but he was about half a foot shorter than her. But he didn't need to think about that, as the woman seemed friendly. It had been wired into his head to check people over, asses them, pick out their strengths and weaknesses. That was what the life of a warrior had done to him. But that did help him in fights. The ability to read people and pick up on their tactics quickly.

The smell of a herd of deer hit him just as the woman spoke "How do you feel about deer? I'm sure by now there are fawns we can catch." he smiled, a fawn sounded perfect. It would certainly feed the two of them. He lightened his step a little. Trying to make his footsteps a little quieter. He ran forwards, following the scent. He spotted the herd of deer in the distance and nudged Skadi, motioning to the herd. There had to be a few fawns among them.

The man was quick, racing forward with muffled paw steps. She would follow just as swiftly, rosen pillars taking long strides as she kept her immense frame closer to the ground and her tall cherry tinted audits perked for the mewling of the young ungulates. As the herd came into view, the dual toned male nudged her and gestured with his muzzle towards the herd. She was about to speak, but the largest buck turned to look in their direction, and immediately the giantess fell silent, pressing herself to the terra. She stuck out like a sore thumb, but many years hunting on her own had taught her how to hide. When the four pointed deer finally was satisfied by the apparent peace, he returned to cautious grazing. Silken voice low, she would murmur her plan to the male. "I'll spook the herd, hopefully I can get them running, or at least distracted, and you scout around and search for fawns. Their scents are muffled by the afterbirth, which has seeped into their fur, but you can usually find them under bushes. They'll mewl if you make a bit of noise." The femme would mutter, crimson gaze repeatedly flicking to the herd before them. Watching the man's features, she would wait for the okay. "Wait for my signal." She would add before slinking through the brush and occasionally flicking her tail into bushes to draw attention and make the creatures uneasy.
Soon the wary buck moved closer, tentative step by tentative step. Positioning herself so she faced the creature, she waited for it to come a bit closer. When it did, she lunged from the brush, snapping her massive jaws in the shocked ungulate's face. A sharp bark escaped her maw, the definite signal. Hopefully Magnus would get the message, she didn't have time to make her ploy any more obvious. The deer may be dumb, but they weren't that dumb. Soon the females were frantic, many fleeing through the undergrowth. She dodged a few attempts from the buck at gouging her side with his impressive antlers, dancing out of reach and then returning to snap at his face a few times. She would wait for the new companion of hers to give her a show that he was successful, and then they would run. It was nearly a guarantee that this mule deer male would not be letting them off easily now, but she could evade it. The wintry goddess had done it many times before, and would do it many more times in the future.

As the woman scurried away to startle the herd Magnus lowered himself. His belly nearly touching the ground. He heard her call, and as most of the herd scarped he moved in. He beat his tail upon the ground a few times, making a little noise. Just then a head popped up from under a bush. A fawn, quite young. Separated from it's mother. Perfect. It looked around, confused. Then it spotted him. But he was already moving towards it. He broke into a sprint. The fawn released a startled mewl. It began to run, but he was much faster. He caught up and slammed into it's side. Not his best move ever, but it was effective. As the fawn went down his jaws clamped round it's neck. The thing squealed. He bit down harder, giving it a quick death. He didn't like to kill thins slowly, it was cruel. When the fawn went limp in his jaws he put it on the ground and howled, summoning her, telling her that he had been successful. He sat and waited for her to arrive.

A howl rang through the forest, which the dame took as her hunting partner's signal to stand down. Pinpointing the call with sensitive audits, the giantess reared onto her hind legs to fend off an attack from the buck. Massive forepaw would swing around and strike the base of the buck's antlers, sending his cranium swinging with the momentum of the blow. With a final snap of her jaws, the giantess would leap into action, powerful limbs launching her in the direction of Magnus. She could hear the recovering deer coming cantering up behind her, and poured on the speed. come on, come on, run faster! The pallid dame screamed internally, pushing herself to make it across the clearing. The brush reared up before her, and rear legs would give one final shove. Immense frame would sail over the undergrowth like a champion show-jumper, cherry optics searching for the dual toned male as she raced through the brush. Finally she would find him, and wintry vocals would be filled with mirth as she urged him to follow her. "Time to go!" She would yelp as she snatched the prey into her powerful, regal jaws. Now she would push herself to continue running, hearing their pursuer come crashing through the brush after them. Too focussed on the land before her, she wasn't quite aware of her companion until the thundering of the buck dissipated.
Slowing, her breath was starting to become quite short. Dropping the carcass on the grass, the lady stopped to inhale and exhale deeply. Crown lowered between powerful shoulders, breath would shudder through rosy flanks as the rapid expending of energy a few moments back caught up with her. As she stopped panting, she began to laugh. Ribs would shake with mirth as she laughed at their previous predicament. "That was fun!" She yipped, pale banner swinging across her tall heels with happiness. Looking up, she searched for the man she had been hunting with, wondering where he was.

As he heard his hunting partner crashing through the brush, Time to go! he leapt to his feet. she snatched the prey up in her jaws. He saw the buck thundering through the Brush after them. He broke into a sprint, he didn't want to be hit by the ferocious thing's antlers. They only began to slow when the buck finally gave up. He caught up with her, panting. He came to a stop. Well that was fun! He grinned. he loved hunting, almost as much as fighting. Yes, yes it was. once he had regained his breath he looked to her. Well miss Skadi, I have enjoyed this encounter, I must be getting home. This has been fun, I hope to see you again sometime Miss Skadi. Goodbye With a polite tip of the head he picked up the dead fawn and began to trot, heading back for the rapids, to their den.

The man came up beside her, and after he finally regained his breath, he bid her a kind farewell. She dipped her cranium in return to his gesture of farewell, and let her own wintry lyrics flow forth. "Farewell, Magnus, I wish you and your family much prosperity." She murmured to him as he left, smiling. Picking up her large paws, she returned to her original course and set herself up to follow the path her estranged half sister had taken, more or less. Crown was held high as she strode like the Goddess after which she was named, long silken banner trailing out behind her as she set off. Such an adventure this had turned out to be, and she loved it.
