Blood stained figure ran for cover, as even here the winds would guide the ash cloud that threatened them. It fell upon the lands like a choking mist, the beast barely containing the clean air within his lungs. But soon he would have to expel the breath he held and take in a new one. Lungs burned as he moved, forcing him to push faster. He did not want to get caught in the open and choke to his death. It was not the way the crimson beast would leave this world. Soon, narrowed orbs spotted what seemed like adequate shelter. At least, he so hoped. Without waiting a moment longer, Sin would make haste into the hollow of the tree, dragging his body along the ground to fit into the narrow opening. The pressure his lungs exerted was building, forcing him to expel and cough the precious air he held onto so desperately. Ash filled air filled his lungs for a brief moment, causing him to cough more. But once inside the sheltered hollow, the air was thick but at least it contained minimal ash compared to the dense fog of it outside. |

She had been right, a storm had been moving in upon them? now however? She wished he had been wrong, the ash covered everything and clung to her throat. She and the boys had been out for a bit of a walk when the massive black cloud had descended upon them. Now she wanted nothing more than to run and seek out shelter. She could not leave her sons though and they were struggling with it more than she was. She nudged them hurriedly along, scanning for anywhere that might be safe. Visibility was limited, shapes moving beyond the smothering fog of ash. Finally she thought she spotted a hollow tree trunk, the opening small but would work. She bundled her Rin through, unaware of it's current occupant and was about to turn to do the same for her other son when she heard him call out, somewhere? back there. |
