Quote:With the storm passing and the lands calming, life had returned to Alacritis and went on as it always did. And yet the woman found herself plagued with sinking thoughts, and in an effort to free her mind she would wander. A day or two at most she would leave Valhalla behind - perhaps she would find another lupine that would want to join the ranks, or visit one of the surrounding packs that she was allied or wanted to create an alliance with. For now though, she would travel the slope of the rock garden, her eyes peering at the spectacle laid out before her. The morning glinted off of the rocks that laid out over the plains. Dew shone on the grass below her feet - it was a lovely sight. And yet she would struggle to appreciate the morning. Loss always hit hard, and she had been struck with it multiple times now. Her father with age, her mentor with the floods, and now one of her oldest friends with the hurricane. It was her fault - she had moved Valhalla from Vericona to the islands in an attempt to keep them safe.
She had led Demonio to his death and threatened the lives of all that she held dear.
With a sigh the woman would carry herself forward a bit further, before the soft scent of another lupine wafted beneath her nose. Apparently she was not here alone - which was surprising as the Eastern lands were quiet in comparison to the north and south. Yet a loner here and there was not such a rarity, and with a smidgen of curiosity she would lift her one-eyed gaze to see if the other wolf was within her sights. By scent alone she could tell that the other was a loner, and a female - but everything else was unknown to her until she saw her.
Although Chrysanthe was not exactly craving company, she was a social lupine. Perhaps meeting this new femme would take her mind off of the regret that lingered in her consciousness. Approaching the other, she would pause when she finally caught sight of the ivory dame. It seemed she had somewhere to be? "Where are you off to, stranger?" She would question should the other slow down in regards to her presence. "Would you mind a bit of company for a bit?" If she would rather continue on her own the russet faced woman would respect that and carry on alone.
