Azalea's dove and auburn fur was slick with water that shone under the light of the evening sun. It was a bit late to just be leaving Valhalla but she had to find and recruit her mother to make sure Soren and Kismet didn't get into too much trouble while she was gone.

It was a family visit and Soleil was content knowing that Azalea wanted to visit her aunt. The visit would be the first since before she had the puppies, since before the pack had moved. By now Pip would have had her puppies as well and for a moment Azalea paused to wonder if perhaps she should have brought the boys along to meet them.

The thought the pups fighting their way to the mainland made her blood run cold. Nope. They weren't coming until they could wade across or learned properly how to swim. She made note to teach them.

After traveling a while she stopped short, the scent of Seracia hitting her sooner than she expected. It would seem that they had expanded their pack as well. The young woman glanced around, checking for any Seracian wolves before lifting her nose and howling. Surely her aunt would hear her and come.

It had been some time since she had seen her niece. Much had changed in Valhalla, of that she was sure; by now, she would've had her children. She wondered how her sister was faring with her loss of vision in one eye, wondered how Erani was faring and if any of her children had returned to her. Her adoptive mother had never been very luckily -- last she knew, her husband had left her, many of her children had taken their own paths in life and never returned.

Here, though, not much had changed. Leadership had passed to Loccian, and thus her life had gotten considerably less stressful. More time to spend with her children. Otherwise, things were normal, and so it wasn't a surprise to find Epiphron wandering on her own. She had ventured to the gulley that they had claimed just this season, a place so luscious and full of life it nearly made her head spin -- the air was brimming with the scent of flowers and wildlife, even in the evening hours. The birdsong was dying down, and the stars were beginning to sparkle in the sky as darkness took hold on the land.

Azalea's call was piercing in the air, and brought her immediately to full attention. Her ears would perk, searching for the direction of the sound, before she set off nearly at full sprint. It wasn't long before the girl came into view, and she let a bark escape, excitement brimming in her voice. "Azalea!" she exclaimed happily, finding it unnecessary to hide her joy as seeing a family member once again. "I am surprised to see you!"
