The winds and rains had forced them from their home. Debris flew in the air, threatening to strike them and pierce their skin. Life was in danger, and not just solely her's. Her mate and unborn children in her womb were in danger also. In the early morning she knew something was strange, wrong. The air was too tense and electric to be comfortable, something was brewing. She had convinced Gitan they needed to get to the mainland before something happened. Heck if nothing did happen she'd just blame it on being a paranoid new mother-to-be. But her gut said that wasn't the case. They had rested in a den from the downpour. But the rain just kept falling, so harsh and at large amounts that the place was becoming flooded. If they stand in the den, they'd probably drown by the end of it all.

But once in the open, the full extent of this storm was revealed. Alarm coursed through her, bi-colored eyes widened. She turned to Gitan, pressing into him. She had never seen anything else like this, she could barely rear over the roar of the storm."We have to go to Ludicael! I need to warn my family!" She cried over the wind and rain. But could they really outrun the storm to her family?

The mangroves came into view but the storm had beat them to it. She paused, panting heavily. All this running and weather could not be good for her unborn pups. But currently she worried about the rising water in the grove. She charged into the territory, hoping Gitan was right behind, but stopped just short of the trees. Her head threw back to let out a powerful commanding howl. She needed her family, all of them. Body sagged down with exhaustion, shoulders hunched from the rain and wind. She prayed they heard her and were safe.

Awful weather. That was all Novella could really say about the storm. It had made things a little difficult to see her family and made poor Satu quite ill. What other damages it had done to the land and pack were yet to be discovered, but the young Destruction girl had bravely faced the weather again for another attempt to see some of her family. After visiting Satu she had eventually left and headed straight back to her own den and hadn't yet gotten out to see anyone else in the family.

Along her way however she managed to catch the sound of a howl. Over the bad weather she couldn't be entirely certain, though she was fairly confident that she knew who it was. Symphony was back again for another visit? At a time like this even Novella was sure that it wasn't exactly her sister's greatest idea ever, though all the same if she was right she wasn't about to complain about the spontaneous visit.

Quickly she altered her course and made her way towards the source of the howl. Sure enough, eventually she could see the shape of her sister though looking very tired. How far had she travelled, most definitely too far considering the conditions. "Symphony, what are you doing here?" She questioned, though confused by her sister's presence in the storm, her tone showed she was pleased to see her all the same.

She sat there hunched over, concern for her unborn pups shined in her eyes as she stared down at her belly. She had not need to worry for morning sickness, or any sickness from being pregnant but she could swear bile raised up in the back of her throat, burning constantly. Her body felt battered and beaten, toss and torn. She prayer this stress would not effect the litter she would bore when the time came. Her miss-matched eyes lifted up as a familiar voice called out to her. The sight of Novella was a relief, seeing she was safe and it wasn't Song. She didn't want to face her sister right now. She knew under the stress she was under she would not be able to tolerate Song for no more than a few seconds at best. Stiffly she stood up to go and nuzzle she younger sister tenderly. At least the rest of her family was for more understanding about her decisions on leaving. They might not have known why but still they had her back, would always be there for her.

She pulled back to study her sister for a moment before her voice broke through the howling wind between them."Novella, the storm, its bad, really bad. Gitan and I had to leave the island when right before it struck. The wind is tearing up trees, destroying everything, the rain is stabbing. We can running all the way here from Inu island to warn everyone. I feared the waters here would raise to dangerous levels, erode the sanding ground and wash everything away. We also seek shelter. Novella..im pregnant..i.." She stopped as her voice faltered. It was not often she showed fear among others, specially her younger siblings. She looked away for a moment trying to calm her fried nerves. "Is everyone else still ok?" She asked as she looked back at Novella.

In the same way that Novella had stuck by Song when Howl hadn't exactly been too pleased to see her again, the young Destruction girl was going to stick by Symphony now. Why her sister couldn't have stayed was still somewhat a mystery to her of course, couldn't this Gitan fellow had joined them in Ludicael? All the same though it wouldn't affect how much she cared for her sister and she most definitely would still have Symphony's back.

For such a simple little question, Novella received a far more detailed answer than she had actually anticipated. With the weather being the very reason she hadn't expected any visits from family, it was a bit of a surprise to hear just how bad it was, that it had actually driven Symphony here instead. The news brought a rather grave look to her face, though she was here and safe now it was terrible to think what could have happened if her sister hadn't been able to get here and had remained trapped on the island. The expression was only fleeting however, soon replaced with one of complete shock, a hint of joy managing to peek through despite the problems they were still faced with.

"I'm glad you made it here safely then." Novella responded, it certainly couldn't have been an easy journey even without carrying pups and it was rather lucky really that it seemed no harm had come to her sister. "And that is brilliant!" She added, happy for her sister. There were of course plenty of other questions she wished to ask, though now was hardly the time, and Symphony was waiting on a reply to a question of her own.

"Satu's been ill. We've mostly tried to keep sheltered and safe really, it's been really quiet." It made her feel rather guilty that she hadn't yet visited the dens of each family member because she hadn't felt quite right and yet here was Symphony having travelled all this distance to see them. "They'll be really pleased to see you again though." She would certainly make sure they saw Symphony whilst she was here, it was an excuse to get the family together, one that Novella suddenly felt she really needed to not feel quite so distant from the others at the moment.

The storm hadn?t seemed that big a deal, not at first at least, the island was often buffeted by minor storms, wind and rain whipping at the oasis on its way to the mainland. This one was different though the dark clouds in the sky didn?t roll on? at least not as he was used to, still he had not thought much of it, a thunder storm or two would not hurt them. Symphony on the other hand was convinced they needed to leave, to seek out shelter on the mainland. He wasn?t sure that was necessary but would indulge her just the same.
He was a bit worried for her as they swam from the island, she was pregnant, not showing but he believed her in that. He stayed close to her the whole swim, growing anxious as the wind picked up and the waves became choppier, but they touched down not long after, to his relief. Then the rain had started and he had worried about her and the pups, so they had taken shelter. That hadn?t lasted long unfortunately the driving rain driving them out of the den.
She voiced her concern and Gitan would agree, he was worried enough about her but Ludicael would have places to shelter? hopefully. The trip to the mangroves didn?t take as long as he expected, though longer than he would have liked. He kept as close to her as possible, but with the wind blowing he also did not want to slow her down and so stayed behind just a little bit. Finally she stopped, and he did as well hanging back. She threw her head back and let loose a call for her family, the wind picking it up and taking it away. He stepped forwards to speak to her. ?I will be right back, I am going to see if I can catch anything.? And with that the man took off.
The storm had driven most prey into hiding, and it was hard to catch any scents as the water washed it all away. He wandered into the trees some, staying careful of the faint scent marker, he would rather not be caught catching the pack?s prey. He pawed at a few visible burrows, digging at them some to try and reach the animals huddled inside, but they evaded him. There was a slight crashing within the forest and he went towards it, finding, smashed upon the ground, a nest.
One of the parent birds was squawking noisily from the canopy but laying next to a pool for broken eggs and twigs was the a jay, neck broken. He quickly snatched it up and fled the scene, the surviving jay swooping down upon him once or twice before returning to the fallen nest. When he finally returned to Symphony she was no longer alone. Standing before his mate was another female he assumed to be her sister. He moved to stand beside Symphony, dropping the bird at her paws as an offering. He noted her hunched posture and moved to stand behind her, acting as a bit of a wind break. He turned his head to look at Symphony?s sister. He smiled and nodded in greeting to her.
So far all of destruction woman he had met had all been rather similar in appearance, white coat and the same mis-matched eyes. He wondered if he would have that to look forward in his own children. Salute princess,
I?m Gitan.?
He glanced quickly at Symphony and nuzzled at her shoulder. Tu?est d?accord, mon ange? He whispered to her.
