ooc: This thread may affect which pack she joins. I'm leaning towards Ludicael or Valhalla, she's met wolves from both those so it makes more sense for her to join one of those two. So basically I'd prefer either a Ludicael, Valhalla or a loner to come along.

The male had left soon after the crime but Emer had remained hidden within the crypt, left in a heap on the floor too traumatised to move. The adrenaline had faded now, though the fear and the horror of the ordeal consumed her, kept her frozen in place and completely uncertain of what she should do. He had gone that much she knew and all she could do was pray that she never saw him again.

She had no idea how long she had stayed there, but eventually it occurred to her she ought to leave this terrible place. Where she would go she truly didn't know all she knew was that she couldn't remain here any longer, it only made her feel worse or at least she hoped she'd feel better once she got outside. Shakily she pushed herself up to her feet, he was gone but nerves still gripped her and she found she still wasn't sure of her own body as she slowly made her way back along the crypt. Really it was lucky he'd caught up to her so swiftly, or else she may have been forever lost within it's depths.

Emer wasn't sure how she achieved it, but eventually she was out in the open, the air was fresher but it didn't change a thing. She barely noticed it, but the sky was starting to grow light and signalled that she'd been in the crypt not only all afternoon but the entire night. What she had expected to be a pleasant rest had left her feeling completely exhausted both physically and mentally though she somehow she was still awake. She was certain she hadn't slept at all, had no idea when she possibly might manage to rest again. She wasn't able to think of sleep though, her mind had closed down now and she was barely conscious of herself or the world around her.

The wound on her scruff had stopped bleeding some time ago though she still wasn't aware that it even existed, it was after all the least of her worries. On the broken female walked, where she had no idea there was no destination in mind, her paws simply carried her onwards her only goal to escape the crypt and this feeling. The crypt was of course behind her now but her mind still lingered on incident and that memory along with the sickening way she felt would continue to consume her.

On she continued to walk in her zombie-like state, barely conscious of her surroundings as she travelled and eventually as the colours of the sunrise had long faded from the sky, Emer had reached the plains. There was no energy really left in her, and yet somehow her body kept moving, mind still trying to escape the crime.

"Pray"

He had found his sister once again, he had left her sleeping within the safety of his den inside Valhallan territory. Away from those who could hurt her, and knew that if anyone tried, Erani would crash down upon them in a wrath he had never seen before. Black paws carried him out of the territory, to seek out the rest of his family and bring them to safety. It was a goal of determination he was internally forced to accomplish, for the Legion had to remain together no matter what.

Deep blue eyes continued their ever wandering search for the familiar, for the wolves who bore the cross upon their shoulder. It made the task easier, for every wolf of the Black descent would carry the Cross. The sky seemed rather dull today, or maybe that's just how he saw it, he wasn't sure. Everything seemed dull as of late, and it probably would remain as such until he could find his Father and the rest of his scattered family. He knew of a few within the lands already, but the rest?

A call, the cry of a raven overhead pulled him from obsessively weakening thoughts. The boy cast his gaze upwards to watch as it flew towards lands unknown, lands of which he was within. Sad blue eyes followed the figure until it disappeared, and upon returning his gaze to the horizon, a figure unknown to him appeared. Dark ears strode forward in curiosity, stance somewhat rigid as he was unsure whether it might be friend or foe. He knew of Valhalla's enemies, and so made an effort to steer clear of them. But the scent wafting towards him wasn't that of the packs enemy, it was that of a broken soul. He knew, because he was one. With ease, he made his way towards her. The closer he got, the better he could see of his acquaintance to be. A small female, a strange zombie like look within her saddened eyes. Something had happened, he could see it in her form. These were all things he was too familiar with, the male able to read people like an open book. It became easy for him, to decipher ones intentions and feelings.

The boy let out a soft bark as he approached, making himself known so as not to spook her. He would come to a stop several feet away, his stance relaxed and calm, no signs of aggression nor ill intent. "Miss, are you alright?" He perhaps knew the answer, however, he wanted to know from her. He could tell that something was not right, but it was not his nature to pry into the lives or business of those who did not want to tell. Some things were hard to talk about, after all. For even he still had issues in the communication department.

It was foolish really for Emer to continue on in this manner, not simply because her abused body desired and deserved rest and care, but because she truly wasn't in her right state of mind to travel, especially not in an area that she was likely to find company. It probably had it's benefits, a more populated area perhaps stood less chance of her being attacked once more when there were wolves around to witness any sort of crime but she really had no clue where she was at this moment in time, for all she knew she could wander into the lands of another pack.

So oblivious to her surroundings she hadn't noticed the fleeing hare as she walked close by, disrupting their breakfast. One perhaps could have been a meal for her, some form of nutrition that might possibly stir her from this barely concious state. The lost opportunity for breakfast of course wasn't the main thing she had to worry about, a fact that was soon rather apparent to all but her. The presence of the black and white male should have been picked up upon, one of her senses surely should have detected his presence though Emer had no idea that she was no longer alone.

"Miss, are you alright?" It took her a moment to register that there was a voice, and even then the meaning of the words was completely lost to her. Head moved in her sluggish manner at first as she twisted to look in his direction, her normally bright eyes seeming dulled by the trauma suddenly filled once more with fear as she finally acknowledged that Jinxx was there. She gasped, body somehow finding the energy to move quicker as she turned to face him, tail tugged firmly between her legs. At this point her muddled mind couldn't decipher even whether it was a male or a female before her, all she saw was another threat. "No! Please! No! No! The terrified words spilled from her lips, though they were weak, her dry throat felt as though it hadn't been used for weeks.

He didn't quite understand what was happening, though the female seemed to have not realized he was there. He waited several moments, wondering if perhaps she hadn't heard him. Or perhaps he hadn't spoken loud enough? He waited for another moment or two before decided to open his mouth once more to speak, however, he shut it rather quickly as he startled backwards, her reaction to his presence surprising and startling the male. Ears fell back as he stared wide eyes, unsure as to what was going on or what he did to frighten her so much. Her reaction betrayed to him, that something horrible had happened to her, but as to what he did not know. His own tail instinctively tucked, fur rising in surprised panic as he stepped back to give her space, though wary now that the situation could potentially prove unpredictable.

"Whoa, calm down! I won't hurt you, I promise on my Mother's grave that I am a friend. My name is Jinxx Black." He would introduce himself quickly and calmly, as slowly his body language would shift into that of calm and non threatening. Whatever had happened to her, he knew it had been traumatizing for her to react in such a way to his presence. He would take it slow, to show her that he meant her no harm. He could only imagine what she had been through, as she seemed to have been in a daze before her sudden panicked burst. He wondered if she would settle enough to calm down, to allow him to help her. And so he would stand back where he was, tail and head low, body lowering itself to the ground to show he would not harm her. Eyes calm as he gazed at her. "I won't hurt you, you can trust me." He repeated again, as he began to assess what he could possibly do to aid her.

Emer stood there shaking with fear, foggy mind still struggling to fully comprehend the situation as anything but terrifying. Never in her life had she been so gripped with fear as she had in the crypt and now here suddenly the world was filled with nothing but threats and she knew how weak she was to them all. All she could do was pray that nothing would happen to her, beg for mercy with her pitiful cries.

Was it working? She couldn't be sure though the stranger stepped away from her, lowering himself towards the ground. Her fear clouded mind would clear slightly and pay some attention as he began to speak once more. "Whoa, calm down! I won't hurt you, I promise on my Mother's grave that I am a friend. My name is Jinxx Black. I won't hurt you, you can trust me." Trust was certainly something she was going to have quite the issue with for some time.

The fear still gripped her and a part of her still had that desire to flee to safety her tired legs kept her frozen to the spot. Visibly she didn't relax at all, though she had at least taken in most of what he had said, enough to form a little more logical reply than her earlier pleading. "Emer" She responded slowly, voice still weak though a little more coherent. "I'm Emer Lasair."

He waited patiently for her response, and if need be, he would wait all day for her to entrust him with at least a name. Her voice carried a tone of weariness, and it worried him more then usual. It was obvious now, something terrible had happened to her. And all he could do was hope she wouldn't panic with him, and trust that he was here to help her. "It is nice to meet you, Miss Emer. I trust you must be famished, you don't look well." He would respond with worry, and slowly he rose to his paws so as not to cause a sudden reaction. Perhaps if he brought her back a meal, she would trust him a little more. He was here to help after all, and it was in his nature to ensure the healthy and safety of another. It was something his mother taught him, and he could not leave alone a damsel in distress. Glancing towards the direction the hare had ran earlier, he glanced back at her for a brief moment. "Wait here, I'll be right back." Without another word, he turned and ran in the opposite direction,

Within moments, he had managed to track down and catch the sought after prey. And although it wasn't his preference, he kept the mindset that the meal wasn't for him. He ignored the taste of blood upon his tongue as he swiftly made his way back to the small fae, hare dangling from his jaws as he approached her once more. He made sure to approach slowly, stopping several feet away before placing the prey on the ground. Stepping back, he sat on the ground another few feet away before indicating towards the prey. "For you."

"It is nice to meet you, Miss Emer. I trust you must be famished, you don't look well." Such words were hardly the greatest choice to say to someone you had just met, they could quite easily be misinterpreted so that the other might take offence at them. Fortunately this was not the case for Emer, she hadn't thought of her appearance at all, not the weariness in her face and bones, not the blood upon her scruff and she certainly hadn't thought about food. "Wait here, I'll be right back."

Before she could respond in any manner though, Jinxx had left her and she found she wasn't entirely certain how she actually felt about that. She had wanted isolation, hadn't felt safe when he arrived and certainly didn't want another coming along either. If his words were indeed true though well there wasn't really any reason for him to go away and truth be told already she found some form of protective company might be ideal. As she had demonstrated only moments before, she was an easy target especially right now.

Being disturbed had at least made the girl a little more alert now, drawn her out a little more from that trance she had been stuck in. It however also made her realise just how drained she felt, and aching body longed for her to give in and rest. Golden eyes attempted to remain alert though, for Jinxx's return or for any other potential dangers and she refused to even sit out of the worry she would just drift off to sleep. However tired she was she couldn't sleep, that would only leave her all the more vulnerable.

Fortunately it wasn't too long before Emer spotted the male returning, his unique markings rather easy to recall not that she had paid attention. He had indeed succeeded in finding food as well it seemed and as he dropped it on the floor her stomach turned slightly, not certain if she really felt like eating anything. Food would give her energy though, something that she certainly needed right about now. "For you." He'd prompt her as he stepped back, still allowing her the space that she wanted and needed. With a small sigh of defeat, she gave into her needs, she still didn't feel hungry but deep down she knew she ought to eat something. "Thank you." She responded, eyes watching him still for a moment before cautiously moving closer.

She took small bites, chewing slowly, gaze lifting every now and then to glance at Jinxx and the land around her. Her stomach protested slightly, still feeling rather sick. Eventually Emer found she had to give in, though it hadn't been the largest of meals to start with she hadn't eaten it all though found she really didn't feel she could take another bite. Retreating once more, she looked back to Jinxx now, though remained silent.

She would eat, though hesitantly at first she had eventually begun to dig into the hare. Though she had not finished, she had thanked him and backed away. Staring at him. She seemed to always be on edge, and curiosity kept drawing him forth. Why was she so jumpy? Something bad had happened for sure, though what it was he couldn't tell. His mind, however, would begin to think the worse. And by the way she kept reacting in the short time he had been here, he began to guess what tragedy had befallen her. His heart would tighten, who would do such a thing? Instinctively, he wanted to move forth and comfort her. But he knew it would be a wrong move right now, for it would cause her to flee or fight him. And he didn't want neither to happen.

He would respond to her finally, with a courteous dip of his head. Perhaps he could offer her something, protection at least, and gain her trust. He was not one to harm unless he or someone threatened his family and those he cared about. This one he felt the urge to protect, to defend and to heal. He felt the surge of anger rising in his chest towards the one who dared hurt her. They would not get by him unscathed should he ever cross paths with the monster who committed the crime he figured it had been. "Miss Emer...would you like to come back with me to Valhalla? I can treat your wounds, and you'll be safe there. I offer my protection, and if you accept, I'll keep you safe." It was an indirect offer, she was scared, and he could see it. He wondered if she'd think it strange, for a stranger to offer protection. Though protection from what? He would leave that part out. Hopefully she would tell him, though he didn't expect right away.

He rose, wanting to get near her though fought the urge to do so. He would wait for her to trust him a little more to allow him to look her over. Though he was no healer, he knew enough to treat minor wounds. He would make a note to ask Erani to teach him a few things, it was useful knowledge to have after all. Blue eyes watched her, hoping she would accept. After all, hadn't he shown just a little that he would not harm her? "Do you have family around here?" He would inquire gently, wondering if small talk would relax her, instill a little bit of trust. Words and actions were all he had, after all.

It didn't seem that Emer would calm any time soon, he certainly didn't expect to herself anyway. What she of course had been unaware of was that Jinxx was a member of Valhalla and that had been her destination this time yesterday. At the mention of the pack at his next words, surprised sue barely heard the rest of his words her memory suddenly jumping back to her as she recalled her former destination. She took a step slightly closer to him, body suddenly shaking a little less. "You're part of Valhalla?" She would ask curiously.

Though she wanted confirmation once more just to ensure she had heard him correctly, Emer was already opening up a little more now. "I wanted to go there, I was heading there before..." Voice trailed off then, unable to say the words.

It would seem something he said had drawn her attention. He had gotten a reaction from her, something seldom seen upon meeting her. He nodded at her first question. Curiosity was noticed in her voice, and he wondered what it was that made her so curious and interested in his pack. Eyes watched as she stepped a little closer, her demeanor seemingly changing from the closed up and frightened she-wolf he had found just moments earlier.

Ears cocked forward, catching the words that trailed away from her tongue. So she was already heading to Valhalla? But then it seemed, something had happened along the way. "As I said before, you're in safe hands. I can take you to Valhalla and help you."

Still Emer had the sense not to completely throw her faith into Jinxx, the girl had suffered a trauma that would certainly leave her even more nervous than usual for a good while. Though she of course knew very little about Valhalla in reality, the pack certainly seemed kindly from the little knowledge she had, and she at least had once made a friend of sorts, even if she hadn't seen Arella since their first meeting. Perhaps it may have made more sense to find Novella and go back to Ludicael with her but if what Jinxx said was right, as cautious as she may have felt, a part of her didn't want to leave.

She was grateful that he hadn't asked what had happened to halt her journey to Valhalla, still not certain at all how she could even begin to explain it. She knew what had happened of course though she didn't feel the words would form in her mouth and certainly wasn't ready to speak of the topic just yet. The memory for now seemed ingrained in her mind, the dark male with his piercing green eyes and the horrific manner he'd acted in. She wanted nothing more than to be rid of him completely though it truly didn't seem likely for now.

Protection though was certainly something she needed and with a nod of her head she found it was an offer that she couldn't deny. She needed help right now, that much she was now suddenly aware of and she would be foolish to turn him away when she only wished to get to Valhalla at some point. He'd guide her there easily enough and keep her safe. "Yes please."

He waited for her answer, and it would not be long before he would receive it. She had agreed to go to Valhalla, and he would offer his protection whether willingly or not. She had been through something horrible, it was obvious. Blue orbs watched her as she indicated her willingness to go. And so he would offer a smile, kindness radiating from his visage as he turned to lead the way. "Follow me then, you'll be safe with me and safe within Valhalla." He would wait for her to follow before he moved, though glad that at least some of her nervousness had gone, at least for now.

The terrified girl was still a little wary, though far more scared of being left to find her own way. Emer highly doubted she was capable of that right now and the guide and protection would both be accepted now he'd settled her mind slightly. "Follow me then, you'll be safe with me and safe within Valhalla." With a small nod of her head she took a few steps closer, closing that distance slightly as they both began to move. Though grateful for the offer, she still kept a few paces behind Jinxx, making sure to leave some distance between them, she was calmer but certainly not ready to get to close or for any contact from another just yet.
