AW - 2 round spar. - Permission to edit to fix the rounds changing from 3 to 2

The desert and barren land was rough against her paws and she liked it like that. The scent of blood stale against the ground made her need fora good fight stand on end. Her eyes narrowed at the slightest sound that might be the poor wolf who happened to stumble across her path. By no means would a fight lead to her hurting the other in a gravely serious manner, but it would not be a friendly spar. She intended on proving to all who crossed her path that she could not be beaten on the battlefield. If she could prove that then she could keep the confidence and pride she had held for so long. "Burn. Burn them all." She whispered the words of the mad father she had served under for almost her entire puphood. A sly and evil smile twisting across her muzzle. Every wolf who did her wrong had such a distinct face. All of them, she could always recall the face to a wolf. A name would link the two together and she would exact her revenge.

Her stormy gray cloak ruffled slightly in the breeze across the barren hills. There was an abundance of sand, dirt, and rock here. It was the perfect terrain for a fight. The fur bristled slightly along her spine as she pushed onward with her search. She was light on her feet as she listened to every sound and analyzed it. She was running now, just running across the battlefield looking for some wolf, any wolf. Who was foolish to be her challenger this day? A slight tremor rocked her body. The need for a fight grew larger as she pushed on. The amber eyes did not hide her need. She didn't need to hide from any enemy.

This day there was no struggle between her common sense and her need for something because they both seemed to agree. Her common sense took it as a training exercise and her need agreed that it would be good to sink some teeth into some fur. She took a deep breathe as a fierce and blustery wind struck her. She did not fall, she stood tall and embraced it. It was a signal of strength from the old gods. They were the gods she worshiped.

I edited this post only to add "round 0 of 2" text to the bottom of the table.

Adelaide didn't know how she had ended up here. In the past, this would have been the last place her feet would hope to tread. As a trained healer, she'd seen firsthand the kind of injuries one could gain by picking a fight on this battlefield. Her stomach churned with the smell of old blood. But something inside her was singing with adrenaline.

Most days she mourned her mother's recent death with an obvious tone of sadness. But today, somehow, she was angry. She had pent up energy that was waiting to be spent. And she wanted a fight. She welcomed the feeling of fear tingling just below her pelt. She desired - more than anything - to feel the rush and danger of a spar. This wouldn't be her first time. Adelaide had gotten into fights before, but she always escaped with her wit and agility. Brute force wasn't exactly her strong suit.

But no matter. Today she would unleash the bulk of her strength. She would not abandon sound judgement, of course, nor would she pretend to fight without strategy. But her teeth ached to sink into flesh. The white maiden trotted across the dry, cracked ground. The terrain was rough on her pads, but she wasn't about to act delicate today. Her footfalls were firm and deliberate as she moved across the land, eyes of sapphire scanning the area for opponents. She kept up her pace for several minutes before her gaze caught something interesting.

Adelaide grinned hungrily as she saw a muscular female running across the battlefield. Her coat was the color of slate and her amber eyes held the same desire to fight. This match may have been a little uneven, the snowy girl had to admit that this wolf looked bigger and stronger than she, but the advantage of a fight remained in one's mind. And she highly doubted that this brutish female could outsmart her. "Hey, you!" She yelped loudly, attracting the female's attention. "Are you looking for someone to fight?"

I got permission to edit and did not edit the fight post itself. I only edited it to add the: 'Round 1 of 2 for SPAR'

Assumptions could not be made after just meeting a wolf. They had to be gained over time with knowing what you are facing. The white female with strange marks on her face came into view asking for a spar and a small smile crept onto Kaneyna's face. She spared to time with answers and instead just went for a steady attack. They were not far from each other, perhaps 10 to 15 feet away from each other. Kaneyna watched her carefully as she squared her shoulders and lowered her head in defense. Her hackles rose along with her haunches and her fur bristled along her spine. It was time to get fighting and she could not be contained once the challenge had been made. That was all it had been to Kaneyna, a challenge of her skills against the seemingly weak fae. It was hard to tell however and Kaneyna would not make assumptions.

She watched carefully as she circled around the wolf. When she reached the left side of her opponent she carefully launched herself, pushing off with her back legs hard in an attempt to hit the girl's side with her full force. She would attempt to sink her teeth into the center of her torso on her [Adelaide's] left side. She would also extend her right paw to attempt to push down on her front to knock her over. Her plans were thought out and when the challenge had been made, the girl had no defenses set. Kaneyna was confident that she could pull this off. Then again, confidence and assumptions were not always the best thing for a wolf in a fight. She intended to hit the girl at a perfect 90 degree angle. Whether or not this could be pulled off was yet to be determined. The currently uninjured Kaneyna was determined to win the fight.

Edited once to fix table.

Her challenge was accepted immediately, and no other words were exchanged. The dark female came running at her, hackles raised. Adelaide raised her own hackles in response and placed her paws steadily on the ground, squaring them equally to gain the best balance. Her ears flicked back and pinned themselves to her skull as she tucked her chin to protect her throat. This may have been a friendly spar, but you could never be too safe. As the stranger started to circle her, the white female tightened her core muscles and shifted her angles as well, adjusting to her opponent's position.

Then the dark female turned her path and charged at Adelaide. She slammed into her side, attempting to knock her down. Luckily Adelaide was able to regain her footing. Stabilizing her posture beforehand had helped. As jaws unhinged to latch on to the center of her torso, Adelaide tried to dip her body down and up, hopefully avoiding the bite while hitting the other female forcefully in the upper throat.

As soon as the first series of attacks had been completed, Adelaide ran a few feet away to regain her composure. Her muscles were locked and prepared, the upper half of her body dipped slightly in anticipation. Fangs were bared in an angry grimace. She ran at her opponent with her legs extended carefully, eyes shooting every which way to find the best target area. Finally she found one, leaping at the dark girl with her front legs jutting out ahead of her. Claws were extended to give her the best chance of damage as her body powered forward. Her attempt was to hit her opponent hard enough to throw off her balance. After this precaution, she would turn slightly and snap at the female's shoulder. If she could get a hold on her, then more damage could be made. At this point, Adelaide was a bit bruised on her left side, and breathing deeply caused her ribs to feel a bit tender. But the fight would go on.

Good fight Requiem <3

She gritted her teeth as she her force hit but the woman came back and threw an uppercut that hit the base of her next by her right shoulder. The counterattack would leave bruising, but not something that she could not handle. The woman foolishly leapt at her with her front arms out in the open. Kaneyna dropped and rolled towards the female so when the female would land she would inevitably miss and Kaneyna would be behind her. Then the warrior rushed forward in an attempt to knock the woman head over heels while gripping onto her back leg with an extreme force. She would go at the opponent at a 45 degree angle from the tail of Adelaide to the left-hand side of Kaneyna's body. No smile caught her face because of her determination.

All of her muscles had tensed beforehand. Her hackles stayed raised as well as her haunches to help her keep her balance. Her eyes were narrowed and her shoulders were squared. They were spread slightly to lower her center of gravity which would make her harder to knock of balance. Her head was lowered to protect her neck and vitals. She had the determination to with the fight, but you cannot win a fight on determination alone. The bruising from the counterattack earlier stung as she had launched her attach that would hopefully only be her last attack. She liked quick, simple and easy to win fights. Her ears were perked up as a sign of dominance and challenge.

The white maiden cursed under her breath as her attack failed. She saw a flash of slate-colored fur as her opponent rolled beneath her. Clever move. But she promised herself she wouldn't be outsmarted by this beast. Adelaide flipped her body as soon as she landed, but the other female had already jumped. They rolled a bit and Adelaide felt a sharp pain on her lower leg. She let out a brief yelp that quickly melted into a growl, and she lashed her leg free, kicking hard at the other wolf's face as she did so.

The girl released herself quickly and recovered some distance so she could think. Her jaw unhinged and began sending vicious growls toward the other wolf. Her back tightened and her posture adjusted to protect her potentially injured hind leg. As she tensed her muscles and raised her hackles once more, she moved the leg around to test it. Was she hurt? Not really - a few minor cuts from the female's teeth, nothing that would leave much more than a scar or two. Honorable battle wounds. No broken limbs. Good.

Adelaide sprinted forward quickly, tucking her head down defensively and ramming it into her opponent. This time she stayed close to the ground, crouching low so the dark female wouldn't be able to roll underneath her again. No way out now. This was her last chance. She tried to pound her skull into the female's chest and flip her jaws up to sink her fangs into some flesh. If she was lucky, her bite would sink into a shoulder or cheek. Maybe even a throat. It just depended on how her opponent would react. Adelaide only hoped that this attack would be successful.

Notes:

Tips for both writing, and some suggestions. (no points are deducted here)

For kanenya Defenses were weak, you need more complex attacks, and you cannot have your character dodge attacks UNLESS it is a realistic dodge. Work on that for next time ^.^

For adelaide
Same for you, defenses were weak, your attacks need to be complex, and your character cannot realistically dodge the attacks the way yours did. You cannot have your character jump away and walk away in the middle of a fight, these movements happen within seconds and there would be no time for your character to put that much distance between them, let alone walk away. Work on that for next time ^.^

As her opponent ran forward towards her she took the hit as it hit her leg while she dove out of the way before standing up strong. She had won this fight and if the other did not believe it than surely she was foolish. "Quite a fine spar, thank you." She said with a dip of a goodbye as she started to depart from the scene. A small smile haunted her facial features. Se loved fighting and it just made her more confident in her abilities that she had won. She intended on heading back to Arcanum where she could practice with some more trained wolves. The woman had put up a good fight but Kane knew that she could ask the monarch for a spar and she would surely be happy to oblige. She just wanted to get better, to improve.
