Wandered did a dark pelted man across the engraved stones beneath his paws. In each delicately placed stone, was an unknown marking, presumably carved by two-legged beasts long ago, otherwise known as humans. They always had been described to him as furless and gangly, with no sense of order amongst them. He had visited Veteran's Plateau, and had seen what greed and hatred can cause, a Great War. Vines briefly blocked the man's golden gaze before the ivory branches gave way to reveal an oasis of shining life. On all sides, dew-covered vines hung down, and ivy creeped along the marbled floor. Cold air seemed to radiate from this strange stone as shining waters flourished with fish. On its surface, slick green algae grew. Above, the morning sun shone down on the runes, causing a shimmer to appear in the strange stone. Pillars would work to set the strong man on his haunches as his golden gaze shone through the morning light as he gazed deep into the waters, then at the peculiarly straight trees, also carved with markings. What do these markings symbolize? Anything? I'd like to know what happened to the creatures named 'humans'. Why did they flee, or kill themselves, or whatever happened? The brute's crown would rest on the cool hard pillar, as if he were searching for the answer to go to his head. He exhaled quickly and then stared back down at the floor, noticing a spiral pattern. The runes would alternate and join at the center of the pool, where the man discovered a larger runestone in its shallow depths. This place fascinated him, but this visit was soon to become an unexpected meeting. Walk, "Talk", Think |
